Daisy arrives in Wisconsin on May 31st and is looking for an adopter who has owned an English Bulldog. She is a lovable young girl who is great with kids, other dogs and housemanners. She is a wonderful girl, who was surrendered due to too many dogs in the home and not enough time for her. She has demonstrated some stiffness in a hind leg and the vet indicated no cause for concern, but as with all bulldogs, monitoring health is of the utmost importance! She has no issues barreling through the home and playing...but she can't swim! Sorry, no pool days for Daisy! Interested in adoption? The first step is an application at paddyspaws.blogspot.com. Please do not apply if pets in the home are not up to date per our website requirements or are not altered. Our rescue adopts to Wisconsin and Illinois. Our requirements for Illinois applications are: excellent vet history, no children under 7 in the home, and an owned home. Wisconsin does not have these requirements, though we will not consider applications where pets are missing core veterinary care. Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit, and once approved a meet and greet with the dog. Adoption fee is $250. She greets each day (and every person she meets) with a wagging tail and an infectious joy that’s impossible to ignore. Despite everything she’s been through, she chooses to be soft, silly, and loving—and that says everything about who she is. She has previously done well with other dogs and cats, making her a great candidate for a multi-pet home. Ruby hasn’t been formally kid-tested, but due to her playful, sometimes mouthy nature when she gets excited, she would likely do best with older kids who can handle her enthusiasm and help guide her with gentle boundaries. At her core, Ruby is a sweet, affectionate girl who just wants to be loved for who she is—not for what she can provide. She’s ready to leave her past behind and finally be someone’s cherished companion. Nova is a 35lb adult (5yr-ish) French bulldog mix. She is incredibly sweet and affectionate and would love to find a forever home. She is still working on her housetraining (great with #1, still working on #2). She walks perfectly on a leash and adores snuggles and couch naps. She loves to show her excitement by wagging her whole body! She came into the rescue with a number of health issues - like most Frenchies - and needs an adopter who understands the financial committments of owning this wonderful, but expensive breed. She had a corneal ulcer (being treated with eye medication), a UTI (treated), unaltered (we fixed her), and with heartworms (she's on the slow kill treatment). Despite all of that, her spirit is amazing - full of love and happiness!! Nova is located in Houston TX and will only be transported upon completed adoption. Her adoption fee is $400.
