Story
Xanthi is an adorable girl who has been waiting to find a true family who understands her breed's needs and gives her time and space to bloom into the wonderful companion she is.Xanthi is curious and a great explorer. She loves sniffaris and new places to go on exciting adventures. And she is also a cuddle bug and mellow when she is home. She will love to stay close to you, to sleep on the bed and play with her favorite chew toys when you are a little busy to play with her.She is food motivated and a quick learner, but would rather decompress before engaging in any activity requiring her focus and attention. She is overall a balanced dog, with a contagious positive vibe and a pleasing nature.Xanthi may ocassionaly bark at passer-byes or certain dogs to alert you of their presence and let you know she may need space, but can be easily redirected. A long lead and a ball are her absolute dream and she will happily go on trails and hikes and stick with you through any fun activities you have planned any given day!She is not extremely high energy, but would need someone who has the commitment and patience to show her the world and all it has to offer. ##2050429##

Story
Merida is a sweet petite blue heeler girl who is at risk of going back to the street where she was found. That's the reason why we decided to step in and try to help her find the best home for her needs in the PNW. She is good with people and very affectionate. Would do great in an all adult family or a family with young adults who are respectful and familiar with heeler. Merida deserves a chance! If you are interested, please send us an application.  ##2151716##

Story
Hi! My name is Beryl and I am available for adoption.I was brought in by a good Samaritan on October 24th.I weigh [number on scale] lbs and am considered a `large breed` dog.I am an affectionate lovebug who would be thrilled to cuddle up with you at home!I am full of energy and I love to play! I tend to calm down more when the people around me stay calm. I do best when I have lots of exercise and something to keep my mind busy.I am a puppy!! I will need to find a home where someone is available for me in these early days. It is important to be consistent with me and socialize me so I can have the best companionship with people and other animals. Puppies require patience because everything is brand new so I will need some TLC while I learn. I am not potty trained or crate training yet and teaching me those skills will help tremendously on a road to success! If you and your family are ready to fall in love my awesome self, please check me out!!I am a spirited dog with a fun-loving personality! I am still working on my manners, so I would do best with a family who is willing to work with me and help me become the best dog I can be!

Henry is a little over 3 years old and he is about 64 pounds. We adopted him from Texas after Covid and has been a loving member of our family. He is very loyal and loving. We have grand-babies now and he gets stressed out around them and is too protective of us. He loves to play ball, is amazing at frisbee, loves to cuddle and lay on laps.

Auburn, WA
Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)

Good with kids, Good with dogs, Good with cats, Needs experienced adopter, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Darling Darla is now a little over 3mo old and she is ready for her own, forever home. She is mostly Australian Cattle dog and according to her dna test, there are a few other breeds in the mix, primarily Border Collie. Her mama is pictured. She is remaining little girl out of a litter of THIRTEEN puppies. Darla is a very affectionate, social puppy that loves to play with other animals . A socially active home with another friendly dog in the home and maybe a kitty would be ideal. Typical of the heeler breed, she is very smart and even at this young age, she is very curious and learns quickly. An experienced home that will continue with their training and socialization is required. An athletically active home will also be great for this adorable girl. A school age child or two would also be great. She must have 5ft or higher securely fenced yards. Because of her young age, they should not be alone for more than 4hr intervals. She is too young to be spayed so her surgery will be scheduled at the time of adoption.

Please do not contact us to look at a dog. We will contact you once we have reviewed your completed application if we think your home might be a good fit. A reference check, phone interview, and home visit will be completed before meeting an adoptable dog. We work quickly. Please do not submit an application until you are ready to bring a new furry family member home. Expect your references to be contacted shortly after submitting your application. We adopt out to homes around WA & OR, but require that you are present for the meet and greet in Newcastle, WA. Our adoption fee is non-negotiable. The adoption fee is due on the day of adoption in the form of a check, Zelle or cash. We no longer accept PayPal due to their fees they charge the rescue. If the potential adopter is willing to pay the fees & charges we will accept PayPal. Beautiful & very sweet Maggie is so incredibly lucky to be alive. Her mum who we have in the rescue & rescued from death. Aussie was pregnant in a high kill shelter in CA & was going to be euthanized heavily pregnant because no one was coming to help her. Well we did & she gave birth to 7 puppies, but unfortunately 1 went to heaven. Maggie was one of the 6 & the only female with her 5 brothers. They were all loved & looked after in a foster home & once she & her brothers were old enough they came back to WA & now Miss Maggie is looking for a forever home & a wonderful family to love her. Maggie is such a very soft gentle natured little lady compared to the huge personalities of her brothers. She is a little shy at first until she knows you then her loving, adventurous & curious puppy personality comes out. She loves, loves other dogs & playing with them & absolutely needs another dog in the home for her to thrive. She likes sitting on a chair & looking out the window in her foster home & taking it all in. She will also want to sleep in the bed with you & adores throwing herself around in comfy blankets. When she is comfortable her tail does not stop wagging. She is still a puppy & would still need to be taught her puppy manners. She also enjoys going up to her foster mum & resting her head on her & being close to her. She adores being held & kissed. She is such a lovely innocent girl. We also put Maggie into a daycare to socialize her with all different dog personalities & she has done well. Maggie’s new forever home must have a fully fenced secured backyard for her safety. She enjoys going out into the backyard in her foster home & running around playing with her friends & siblings. In CA she also enjoyed laying out in the sun & relaxing. Maggie has been great with her baths because she started having them with us in her loving foster home the moment she was able to so she is used to them. She loves both men & woman once she knows them. Maggie is a big eater as she is a growing puppy. She is not shy about eating once she is comfortable. Maggie rode beautifully in the car with her foster mum & enjoys a good journey & will also once she knows & trusts her new family to. She needs continued work walking on her harness & leash. We are looking for a forever home for Maggie where someone is home during the day or she can go with her people wherever possibly she can go with them. Maggie is looking for a forever home who will cherish her & love her as she should be loved & be patient with her. Maggie has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes & she is currently with other dogs & was fostered in CA with other dogs & does well with them & enjoys their company. In her foster home she is with dogs. A fenced backyard is mandatory for Maggie. Maggie is roughly just 2 years old & 25 lbs & is perhaps an Australian cattle & what she is mixed with we are not sure at all. She is female, she is spayed by laser by our wonderful vets & she is microchipped. She was given flea treatment, up to date on her shots, including DHLPP, Bordatella, CIV, rabies, dewormed. Maggie has been around cats since being in the rescue in her foster home & did well with the cat in the foster home but doesn’t mean she will do well with all cats. But it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals together. We have not had her around small children so we do not recommend small children nor cats & it’s always up to the family to be responsible with their children. We were not there when Maggie was conceived so we do not know who her parents were & it’s always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think her breed is. As with all of our rescues & Maggie’s friends she will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. Please do not email us asking is Maggie potty trained or available, nor do we ship dogs anywhere as we will not respond. We would never say anyone of our rescues are potty trained. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through & what they will need in their daily lives & not willing to give up on them & if they do need training in their new home will in fact take them to training & not just say they will when applying. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Maggie & going through our process and have read her listing fully to the end & are wanting to adopt. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on & remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview & a virtual home visit due to covid & followed by a meet and greet & if it’s a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for Maggie who understands her needs & that meet all the requirements for this spirited little lady. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives & please do not submit an application if you are not ready to adopt. We also cannot respond to every application unfortunately. We have spent so much more money on Maggie than her adoption fee even comes close to covering. Maggie has an adoption fee of $450 & is ready for her truly loving forever home & compassion & understanding of what she has been through.
