Story
Snow White is looking for her perfect home - could that be you? This pretty pup was found under a shed fighting to keep herself, and her 7 puppies, alive. She was such a great mamma that all of her pups thrived and were adopted, but now she's in need of her perfect home. She is an absolute love bug with people, loves her walks and to cuddle after them! She so far has done well with other dogs, although she seems to prefer male dogs over females (which is often a common trait). She would prefer a home without cats. Lucky for her future home - she is crate trained and potty trained, making her an easy addition to any home / work lifestyle. Reach out to learn more about her! ##2628409##

Story
Meet Coconut: Your Future Best Friend and Ultimate Love Bug! Everyone, meet the beautiful Coconut! This two-year-old Cattle Dog/Malinois/Shepherd mix is a sensitive soul with a heart of gold. While she takes a little time to settle in and feel comfortable, once she knows she is safe, she reveals her true self: an absolute love bug who just wants to snuggle her person all day long. Her Perfect Match Coconut is truly looking for "her person." She is a loyal companion who forms incredibly deep bonds, though she is particular with people—especially men. She takes a bit longer to warm up to the guys, so her ideal home would be with a single lady where the two of them can be inseparable companions. Activity & Lifestyle Because she is so smart, Coconut thrives on mental stimulation. She is incredibly eager to please and would love a partner who enjoys teaching her new tricks or giving her a "job" to do. She’s an A-plus walker and the perfect partner for hiking or jogging, though she does require a home with a secure, 6-foot-plus fence to keep her "youthful enthusiasm" contained. Social Life When it comes to her social circle, Coconut knows exactly what she needs: With People: Selective at first, but a fierce snuggler once she trusts you. With Dogs: She is generally okay with other dogs but is dog-selective with females. She would do best as an only dog or with a passive male companion. With Cats: She is wonderful with cats and is ready to be a loyal friend to feline housemates. Coconut is a high-energy athlete who is still working on keeping all four paws on the floor when she gets excited. Whether you are looking to adopt or Foster-to-Adopt, this resilient, affectionate girl is ready to bloom in a home that understands her brilliant breed and gives her the snuggles she craves. Here's what you need to know about me:I'm a social butterfly! I love hanging out with anyone who wants to play. I also love to follow my person around to see what they're doing. I can be little mouthy during cuddle time, but if you have a toy to keep me occupied, I can settle in for a short afternoon nap.I'm an active dog! I have tons of energy and would love to go home with many family members around who can help keep me entertained and give me a variety of things to do.I need a slow introduction to cats. I can probably share my space with cats, but I'm still a puppy and can be a little much at first. We'll need some help monitoring our interactions at first to be sure we're all safe together.I need some space to myself, like a crate or a room where I can take breaks. I sometimes have a hard time sharing my treats, toys, or bed with other pets, and other times ignore their requests to take breaks form playing. It helps me to have a barrier to teach me when to settle down.I would love a family experienced with my breed or willing to learn! I have some behaviors and preferences that are typical for Australian Cattle Dogs and would do best with a family who understands my needs. It's recommended I meet any dogs or kids living in my new home before I'm adopted. I just want to make sure we all get along. Primary Color: Black Tricolor Weight: 30 Age: 0yrs 6mths 3wks

*****Please note, once completing the initial screen you will be connected with the placement for a video chat. Transports run every few weeks and we will have the dog on the next available transport once approved. If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time*********** We are a volunteer run rescue and donate our time to these dogs. IF you are not serious about moving forward in our adoption process, please do not apply. If someone other than yourself is part of the decision making process, please make sure you have spoken with them and they are on board. We really do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog. ___ Meet Mylo – a 4-year-old, neutered, 44-pound Cattle Dog mix with a tongue that just can’t be tamed and a heart that’s even bigger. Currently in a foster home in San Antonio, TEXAS, Mylo is ready to transport out of state once his forever family is approved and ready to fall in love. Let’s start with the obvious: Mylo has a perma-blep. That’s right—his tongue is just a little too long for his mouth, and it’s almost always peeking out like he’s mid-lick or permanently saying, “hi.” A vet has checked it out and confirmed there’s nothing wrong—he was just born with extra tongue and endless flavor to sample. It doesn’t cause him pain, but it does mean he occasionally needs a little extra hydration. He also has a slight protruding bone at the base of his rib cage—again, no cause for concern, just more proof that this boy was truly “born this way.” We like to say he’s one part goofball, one part model, and 100% original. Mylo is an affectionate, silly, and curious guy who loves to play and explore. He has a bit of that classic Cattle Dog energy—he thrives with daily activity, enjoys long walks, and loves a good romp in the yard. He plays well with dogs of all sizes and currently lives in a multi-dog home with pups ranging from tiny Chihuahuas to an 80-pound Boxer mix. He does well reading other dogs’ social cues and adjusts his play accordingly. He’s also very vocal when he plays or gets excited—growling, grunting, and making silly noises are just part of his charm. Once you get to know him, you’ll realize it’s just his voice, not a sign of anything aggressive. He enjoys meeting new dogs on walks, though he might sound a little intense at first—again, that vocal streak—but he’s friendly and well-mannered. He’s shown some interest in chasing cats, so to be safe, a feline-free home is best. Mylo has met children of various ages through his foster family and has done well overall. Due to his occasional jumping and enthusiasm, we recommend a home with older kids (10+) who are steady on their feet and understand how to interact with an active dog. He’s loving and playful, and with continued positive training, will only improve his manners. This boy LOVES walks and has a zest for getting out and about. He can pull on leash when excited, so a no-pull harness or Gentle Leader may help make walks more enjoyable. He’s fully house trained and has been trusted to stay loose when unsupervised, usually sticking to his gated area and dog bed like a gentleman. While he hasn’t been crated in his foster home, he’s done very well with the freedom and would likely thrive in a home where someone is around more often than not, or with a flexible schedule. Mylo is currently fed separately from the other dogs—not because he’s aggressive, but because he prefers not to share his snacks or special treats. (Honestly, who among us does?) With his people, though, he’s playful, cuddly, and incredibly affectionate. He greets his foster dad with enthusiastic hops and playful vocalizations, looking like the happiest dog in the world—with his tongue hanging out and his tail wagging in full swing. He’s also very smart and responsive to redirection. He listens when called, loves being praised, and wants so badly to be a good boy. Like many herding breeds, he thrives on routine and benefits from clear communication and a bit of structure. He may occasionally flinch at quick movements or new objects (like a broom), so a patient home that understands his background and lets him settle in at his own pace will help him feel his best. Here’s what Mylo is hoping for in his forever home: - A moderately active family with a yard or access to one where he can run, sniff, and sunbathe - A few good walks a day or fetch sessions to burn energy and keep him happy - A family who will give him tons of love, belly rubs, and attention - People who embrace his quirky personality and celebrate his uniqueness - Continued support with basic manners like jumping and treat-taking (he’s already working on it!) - A home with older kids (10+) and maybe a friendly dog buddy or two - And most importantly: a soft place to land and be loved for exactly who he is Mylo is a one-of-a-kind pup with a silly smile, a loyal heart, and so much love to give. He’s smart, affectionate, endlessly goofy, and ready to find a family who sees his magic. If you’re looking for a lovable sidekick who will keep you laughing, snuggling, and moving, Mylo might be the perfect match for you. ___ **Listed BREED and AGE - We are taking our best guess & recommendations from our veterinarian on age, breed and size when fully grown. We rarely know a dog's exact age nor are we able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is limited most of the time. ** Interested in applying to adopt him?
