Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Meet Sundae! She is loyal, happy, has boundless energy, is incredibly smart and is alert and wary of strangers. This girl is a herding breed dog who would love a home outside of the city on acreage where she can have a job to do. She is not for the sedentary dog owner. She loves to walk the perimeter of her property and in typical herding dog fashion will redirect people and alert them once she's familiar with her boundaries. Due to her herding breed, she has an irresistible impulse to herd, anything: cars, dogs, kids, etc. so an adult only home would be best for her. Sundae bonds deeply with her person and can be protective of them. She will need to be in a home where there is strong leadership. She can be reactive or show guarding behavior in stressful situations that she feels are 'threatening' to her person. She can also redirect in these situations or when displaying her herding instincts. She will need a firm hand and strong supervision when there is a lot of stimulation. She has her challenges, but she is incredibly loving and loyal to her people. She is spayed, current on her shots and micro-chipped. Her adoption fee is $150.

FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Say hello to Zip! He is an energetic 1.5-year-old, 36lb Queensland Healer who came to us as a stray from an overcrowded shelter in CA. Zip is a sweet, playful, rambunctious, and smart dog. He learns incredibly fast, is very treat motivated, and takes treats gently. Zip would love a home that is active and provide him with the exercise he needs. He will also need an adopter that is committed to his basic obedience training and providing him with the mental stimulation he requires as well. He can be quite mouthy so we recommend no small children as he works through this. Zip has done well with other dogs in our care and would be a great additional dog to a home or he would be fine as an only dog with continued socialization. He is very much looking for a job and would love a handler that keeps life interesting for him. Zip has a super soft coat, charming brown eyes, and a great smile! She is sweet, goofy, and very cuddly. She is also very shy and will need a gentle and patient adopter to help her with this. She walks well on a leash and sticks right by her persons side. She is gentle, takes treats gently, and is very smart. Gigy is also great with other dogs and would love another dog in the home to give her confidence as well as for companionship. Animal Profile: Ames is an approximately 18 month old, 40 lb neutered cattle dog mix that joined us from New Mexico on 12/4/23. He was surrendered by a finder who held him temporarily and reported he was good with dogs. Foster Update:  While shy at first, Ames, or Sparky as he is known in his foster home, is an incredibly loyal pup who loves to play tug and fetch when he’s not snoozing the day away. This handsome boy has a playful yet gentle demeanor. He is crate and house trained and loves his toys! He will play on his own if you're not available by throwing his toys in the air and catching them. Ames is highly intelligent and really thrives with structure, training, and most importantly play! He is happiest when rough housing with another dog. He can play for hours and will do best in a home with another playful dog his size or larger. He is food motivated and a fast learner, picking up on commands like sit, lie down, touch, spin, and shake. Ames will do best in a quiet home, with adopters who are able to provide strong leadership and continue to help build his confidence.  Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Say hello to Lincoln! He is a very high energy, active and sweet 2-year-old, 40 lb Australian Shepherd. He is a happy boy and loves to get attention from his people! He will do great with a family that understands herding dogs and their needs. He can be strong willed and is still working on basic obedience and will need a family that will continue his training. He is working on not jumping up and mouthing right now so he needs an adult only home or a home with kids over 14. He is super sweet, but he has a lot of happy and unfocused energy. He is very smart and will thrive with training. He would love to be in a home in a suburban or rural neighborhood with a securely fenced yard for him to run and play. He will do best in a home where someone is home much of the time. He likes other dogs but can play very rough with them and would rather spend time with his humans so for that reason we are looking for a home for him as an only dog or with another dog who is able to handle his rough play. He will need an adopter that will keep him physically and mentally active and would make a great jogging or adventure buddy. He is up to date on all of his vaccinations, microchipped and neutered. His adoption fee is $450.

Story
IMMEDIATE FOSTER NEEDED: Meet Fury! He is a 9-year-old, 55 lb Blue Merle AKC registered Australian Shepherd who was surrendered to us as his owner could no longer care for him. Fury loves to be petted, pampered and groomed. He likes playing by himself with soccer balls and plushie toys, tossing and chasing them around. He also loves to lounge in the sunshine! Fury would like to find himself his very own retirement home where he can be an only dog with his own securely fenced yard to relax in during the day, and a cozy kennel at night. He would do best in a home where he can be the only pet, soaking up all the love and attention. He walks well on a leash for the most part but can be leash reactive and he does not care for other male dogs or dogs who get in his face on leash. He would do best in a quiet suburban or rural neighborhood. Fury has been gentle with the young child in his previous home under supervision but in typical herding fashion nips at anyone who runs next to him, so it is recommended that he goes to an adult only home or with children over 12. Fury has recently had a dental and is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped and neutered. As a senior boy, he deserves more than spending his golden years in a commercial kennel and we are looking for a foster family who want to love him and care for him for the rest of his life.

FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Introducing Jed! He is a 2-year-old, 40lb Australian Shepherd mix who came to us from overcrowded shelter in CA after he was found on someone’s front porch. He came to us very underweight and will need someone to help him get back up to a healthy weight. He’s a very sweet dog that walks well on a leash and loves people! He takes treats gently and is treat motivated, which is great for training purposes. He is very smart and learns quickly, as well as seems to be playful with other dogs. Jed would make a great additional dog to a home, or he would be fine as an only dog with continued socialization. His ideal forever home would be one that takes him on daily walks, adventures, and provide him the activity he needs. For the most part, he is calm and well mannered, but once he opens up, he does have a bit more energy and would love to be in an active home. Jed is a great dog and will make an awesome addition to any lucky household that adopts him! Jed is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped and neutered. His adoption fee is $500.
