Story
Hi, just call me Buba,I am just a little guy who is learning to trust and build some confidence. I think I have come a long way since I was rescued but I still have work to do. I love people, even the little people who offer me gentle pets and cuddles. It makes my heart sing!I can be very playful with other dogs if I am introduced properly, otherwise, I am pretty shy. Cats are good too, I just ignore them.I am happy to play with toys but even a plastic water bottle can be fun, I am not too fussy. I am getting used to car rides, at first, I was very restless because it was scary but now I know what to expect so it is better. I like water, but I haven’t been to the beach yet, maybe that is something we can do together.I am just a young pup so I have plenty to learn about obedience, walking on a leash, and basic commands but if you have some patience I will learn quickly. All I want is to please you.If it sounds like we could be a family together then just fill out the application and we can meet on a Zoom call.Lots of love to give,Buba To get more information go to https://hope4lapawz.org/adopt and click on the dog's photo. Story
Hi there, Felix is my name,I am still shy but once I know some of the dogs I live with, I love to play. I am still working on my confidence. As with most young adults I still love to play with toys. That could mean a rope, a plastic bottle, a ball, or a branch off a tree. I am not too picky. I still like to sleep after I play.I like to spend time outside, but it is nice to come into the house too. I know I must do my business outside. I am a cuddle bug and I give good kisses and there is nothing better than a good belly rub.If you are looking for a young adult dog that you can help train to be the best dog ever, then I am your guy. Just fill in the application and we can meet on a Zoom call.Lots of love to give,Felix To get more information go to https://hope4lapawz.org/adopt and click on the dog's photo. Story
Hi, my name is Zeke,I am so happy that my foster mom rescued me from a bad situation. We have been working on building my confidence because truly, lots of things scare me. I like to play with other dogs but when I get tired, I can get a bit grouchy. I am not much for toys, just give me a stick and I am happy.I spend most of my time in the yard, so it will take some work to say that I am house-trained. I do my business outside in the same place all the time but in the house, you would need to teach me how to ask to go outside.I will need a lot of love and patience. We went to the beach the other day and it was a new experience that I would love to get used to. I know I can be a great dog for the right people. If you are looking for an adult dog that you can work with to teach him how to be the best dog, then I think we could be a family. Just fill in an application and we can meet on a Zoom call. Lots of Love to share.Zeke To get more information go to https://hope4lapawz.org/adopt and click on the dog's photo. There you will see any videos, more photos and details.

Story
Beautiful Martina is a very energetic, happy as can be 10mo old puppy that constantly has her little nub tail wagging! She currently weighs about 30lbs and should be closer to 35lbs when she’s full grown. She is a very social girl so an active home is a must. She loves to run, run, run so a fenced yard is also required. She would be the perfect companion for a family that does a lot of camping, hiking and maybe even some jogging. A farm where she can help coral the goats or livestock would be perfect! She loves meeting new people so a socially active home would be great, too. Martina is extremely smart so she must have lots of training games to help her become a model k9citizen. She is doing great with her crate and house training, as long as she has frequent potty breaks. Martina thrives on her doggy play dates so another dog in the home or frequent play dates would be idea . A heeler experienced home is also best. Overall, Martina is a great tempered, friendly dog that is ready for lots of adventures and a home of her own. If you are interested in meeting Miss Martina please email k9cabbie@gmail.com and include your phone number.  Thank you!!!December 11, 2024, 12:46 pm

Story
** Currently fostered in Houston Texas, but available for adoption out of state via rescue transportation, included in adoption fee. Offer Zoom call to virtually meet prior to adoption. Meet Barkley! This sweet baby wandered up on someone's property. He was wearing a harness on that had the brand name boots and barkley, so that's where the finder got his name. Barkley was chipped, but unfortunately it was not registered. It shows that he was adopted in January2023, and that he is estimated about 5 years of age. He currently weighs around 55 lbs and we believe him to be a border collie/cattle dog mix. He has energy and he loves to run and play, but can be a couch potato too. His favorite thing in the world is to play fetch with a ball! Barkley likes other dogs if they are female, but has not been a fan of males. We believe it's from a lack of social time with other dogs because he doesn't come off as just an aggressive pup, he just seems like he was kept in a yard and ignored a lot of the time prior to rescue and may not be familiar with most dogs. Barkley clearly knows his basic commands, such as sit, kennel, shake and settle. He is highly toy and food motivated and responds wonderfully to focused training. With continued training, we could even see him being an agility pup! Barkley is crate trained, housebroken and does well on leash. He is fully vetted, meaning he us neutered, up to date on all vaccines, microchipped and on monthly preventions for flea, tick and heartworm. For more information on how to adopt Barkley, contact us at MokasMission@Gmail.com for an application.
