But when we look into his eyes, we see something different. We see a weary traveler, a dog who's lived in filth and never had a clean home to relax in. A wounded warrior, who has scrounged for food and fought to stay alive when no one was taking care of him. A voiceless soul, who couldn't ask for help when his owner went into hospice. He and his doggy siblings were left to fend for themselves. Rickey may not be a coonhound or basset but he is absolutely the definition of a Helpless Hound. He been through so much in his 4 years, and has never known what it's like just be a dog. UNTIL NOW. Here's to you Rickey, and your new life. We are here to make sure you get to live every day to the fullest. We will make sure you know that you will be clean, fed, and have a warm home to rest your head in. This handsome guy is Dawson. Dawson was unfortunately on a euthanization list and his time was almost up. He is only 2 years old. He is playful, good with other dogs, affectionate to people, calm...and about to lose his life because he was in a shelter that was filling up again. But he is safe now and ready for his people!
