Story
My mama was one of two young dogs abandoned at an intersection. They were being fed by a nearby resident; eventually she realized we were both pregnant. The resident's friend posted on Facebook and another nearby resident saw the plea and took action. SPOT agreed to help when a foster offer came through! This PUPPY is currently located in Wharton County, Texas, but can be transported to New York via a licensed, reputable transport company. The transport fee is included in the adoption fee.

Story
I was a stray living in Wharton County and had a litter of 6 puppies. We were all living on the street, scrounging for food and living in a culvert and barn. SPOT was alerted to our situation but no one volunteered to help and then we disappeared. Several weeks later, SPOT Board member Melanie Cochrum spotted us and went to work rescuing us! Wharton ACO Jurasek was able to help catchpole the momma dog Cat; Melanie found the last puppy hiding in the neighbor's barn and was able to capture him.

Story
Peppermint is an adorable and sweet pup who is about to be 3 months old. She is friendly and loves everyone. Great with people, dogs, and we predict cats too if she grows up with one. This pup and siblings were abandoned on a rural road outside Austin, Texas, likely left in a box found nearby. In freezing, wet conditions, they were at serious risk, especially Apollo, who was found in the middle of the road. Two good Samaritans rescued the litter, with one taking two puppies and the other taking three. While we couldn’t secure the first two, we were able to bring Apollo, Star, and Peppermint into rescue care. Thanks to Apollo’s presence in the road, the entire litter was noticed—ultimately saving their lives. They will soon have all their shots and be spayed/neutered and ready to go! We can drive this pup to your area! Story
Get ready to fall in love with Buffalo, the 2 year old fetch champion who brings endless joy to every room he enters! Buffalo is crate and house trained, loves riding in the car, and is a certified professional cuddler. He is extremely agile, and loves to play. He is also extremely affectionate and has never met another person or dog that he does not love. Cuddling is one of his favorite pastimes! He is also highly intelligent and food-driven, therefore he learns new tricks very easily. He already knows the following commands: Sit, Stay, Down, Crate, Fetch, Drop (the ball), Paw, and even Roll Over! Buffalo is 50 lbs and would thrive in a home with a yard, or with a family that has another dog to play with. He would make a great fetching, walking, running, or hiking companion. Buffalo received his namesake after he was found abandoned next to the Buffalo Bayou dog park - a prime dumping ground for dogs. It was very hot outside and he was spotted jumping into the bayou without a collar or leash, desperate for a drink of water. Despite his initial challenges, he has flourished in his foster home and is optimistic for his future. He can't wait to move on to his next adventure! Will you be his new best friend? We can drive this pup to your area!
