Hi everyone! My dog Dixie is in need of a new loving home. We rescued her from a bait and tackle shop at just 5 weeks old and she is now approaching her 4th birthday. Since then she has blossomed into an energetic and playful dog who thrives on interactive fun. She adores chasing sticks and balls, with fetch being her all-time favorite game. She is exceptionally smart and will keep you on your toes! Her quick-witted and animated personality has brought my family such joy and laughter over the years. Dixie would thrive in a home that offers ample space for her to run and plenty of opportunities for exercise. While she is incredibly sweet and affectionate with people, Dixie prefers to be the only dog in the household. She has had some challenges cohabitating with another dog in our home and would do best in an environment where she can be the center of attention. This handsome red heeler mix puppy is called Ernie and he and his brother Bert and their mom were found in a barn where they had been raised by their stray mother. Their mother was barely hanging on to life. The happy ending to her story is she is living with a wonderful family now and is loved and Ernie is looking for a wonderful family too raise him, love him, and bring his own special joy to. Ernie is a really delightful and well adjusted 6-month-old puppy that weighs 26 lb. He is a friendly little guy that enjoys meeting people and loves to chase a ball and bring it back to you. His innocence and love for life is contagious. He craves being with people that like him and speak kind words to him. He will crawl in your lap and be your best little buddy. His foster mom who raised he and his brother Bert says that he has the best temperament and personality. Recently this little guy went to a yoga class at the YMCA and had so much fun. It was a totally new and unique environment and he handled it with great poise and embraced all of the Zen vibes going on. Ernie is housebroken, crate trained, loves being around other cats and dogs alike and adores children. There isn't a living creature on this earth that he doesn't like. He is learning quite well, how to walk on a leash and he rides in a car like a pro. He would be a great dog to take for hikes, long walks, outdoor events and adventures, and of course he would be a hit at any family reunions. Ernie is ready to call a family and their home his very own.
