Sweet Bluebelle At a little over a year old, this Australian cattle dog/retriever mix is a sweet and cheerful girl that loves to play and never gets tired of chasing frisbees. She loves kids and other dogs but can get too rough for small dogs at times. She would do best in a home without cats. Bluebelle has a great personality and can charm over anyone she meets. She is extremely loving. She would enjoy adventures or just to be a snuggle partner. You will defiantly love coming home to this beauty's smile. She is fully vetted, microchipped and can be sent your way via ground transport or adopted locally. She is located in Texas

Story
Rowan is a sweet 16 week old Cattle Dog/Staffy mix. His adult weight is tough to estimate but we would think 40-60lbs full grown. He was saved from euthanasia by our rescue partner in KY and recently made his way to us along with his brother Reilly to search for their forever homes! They are currently living with cats and dogs of all sizes and love everyone and everything. They sleep in a crate through the night with no accidents and their potty training is coming along excellent! These pups would be the perfect addition to any household Please note, Rowan and Reilly are only available on a foster to adopt basis until their neuters. If you’re interested in fostering or adopting, please fill out an application at www.rosebudrescue.com/adopt *If you have previously submitted an application for another dog who is pending or has been adopted, you can email us with your full name and phone number and ask us to process your application for another dog or general pre-approval instead*

Story
Sailor is a 2 year old Australian Cattle Dog mix (possibly Akita!) weighing around 50lbs. He recently came to us from a shelter in New Jersey. They picked him up as a stray running down the highway jumping over the medians to avoid capture! Sailor has been good with both male and female dogs, and is on the neutral side but likes to play when he gets comfortable. He’s young and has a high energy so he can get a bit overstimulated at times and would benefit from a calm but confident owner. He is crate trained and potty trained when kept on a consistent routine. He loves walks but needs some work on loose leash walking. Sailor is looking for a home WITHOUT cats as he is overly interested in playing with and herding them. Due to his size and energy we would not recommend him for a household with young children. Please note, Sailor is only available on a foster to adopt basis until after a few more vaccine updates. If you’re interested in fostering or adopting, please fill out an application at www.rosebudrescue.com/adopt *If you have previously submitted an application for another dog who is pending or has been adopted, you can email us with your full name and phone number and ask us to process your application for another dog or general pre-approval instead*

Story
Coraline is a 2 year old Australian Cattle Dog/Australian Shepherd mix weighing around 30lbs. She was surrendered to us about a month ago because she was no longer getting along with the other female dogs in the house. She is crate trained, potty trained when kept on a consistent routine, and walks great on a leash. In true Cattle Dog fashion, Coraline does bond strongly to her “people” and is pretty indifferent to anyone else. She will be nervous at first when integrating into a new household, but once she warms up she will be your best friend and stick to you like glue! Our foster to adopt program would be great for her as it would give a potential adopter a few weeks to see her true self come out once acclimated. Coraline is dog selective but could live with other male dogs who will respect her space. NO female dogs, cats, or kids under the age of 10. A fenced yard is not a requirement as she CANNOT be left alone in a yard unattended with a fence shorter than 8ft, however she is fine to be off leash in a shorter fenced area as long as she is monitored. If you’re interested in fostering or adopting Coraline, please fill out an application at www.rosebudrescue.com/adopt or email us if you already have an application on file.

Story
Axel is a 1.5 year old Australian Cattle Dog/Border Collie mix weighing around 45lbs who never stops smiling! He was surrendered to us about a month ago after getting loose and killing the families chickens. Axel is dog friendly and will match another dogs energy well, but he does enjoy running and wrestling with other playful dogs. For obvious reasons, he will not be a candidate for a home with cats or other small animals. He can be apprehensive when meeting new people, but once he learns to trust you he will be your best friend! He’s just a big baby who hasn’t been exposed to much. Older respectful children should be fine but no kids under the age of 10 for this guy. Axel is crate trained, potty trained when kept on a consistent routine, and good on a leash but lacks confidence and needs more reassurance in new places. He is very smart and food motivated, and he’s going to make an excellent dog for someone patient who can give him a little guidance in life. If you’re interested in fostering or adopting Axel, please fill out an application at www.rosebudrescue.com/adopt or email us if you already have an application on file. Long distance adoptions considered at the adopters expense after a meet and greet in West Falls, NY. We DO NOT adopt outside of the United States.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. This pretty Penny is patiently waiting for her forever family to find her. We'll never know what happened before she was abandoned & became a Diamond but we do know she had someone who loved her at some point. Penny is a smart, loveable girl & came to us with a head start on training; she knows commands like down, sit, stay and off. Penny's crate is her "safe base" and comfort zone. Her foster dad will often find her in there when she needs a nap or just some alone time. She doesn't have to be crated when she's alone but you'll want to make sure everyone's shoes are put away! Our girl has a bit of a shoe addiction, lol. Penny's ideal home will be able to provide the routine, consistency and patience she needs to thrive. She'd enjoy a fenced in yard to run around and play in but as an adult dog, daily walks and playtime would also meet her exercise needs. She doesn't get along with cats or other dogs but she loves all humans! We're recommending only older, respectful children 10 years and up due to Penny's love of collecting & sometimes resource guarding items that don't belong to her (shoes, socks, etc.). We don't know for sure but with as much as she enjoys searching & finding "treasures", Penny might be a good candidate for nose work or increasingly challenging dog treat puzzles. After all, girls just wanna have fun! If you're looking for a wonderful companion to make your house feel like a home, please fill out an application to find out if this sweetie is the "lucky" Penny for you! Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. &#226&#150&#186 We do not adopt to Canada  due to border restrictions and breed-specific legislation &#226&#150&#186 We adopt & foster locally only ; within an approximately 55 mile radius of Lockport, NY 14094 USA Adoption donation includes Spay/Neuter, Vaccinations, deworming & flea treatment. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Buzz is a young energetic pup looking for structure and socialization.  He's got a lot of energy and nowhere to put it.  He takes a minute to warm up but, loves treats and pets.  A home with a fenced yard or active that will take him on walks or to an agility class would be ideal. Buzz is good with cats, he actually ignores the cats he resides with and allows them to rub on him.  Buzz has been around a few social dogs since becoming a Diamond and has done well, can play a little rough but also has no problem just coexisting when it's not play time.  He is currently frustrated with pent up energy, and we feel he would do best in a home with older considerate kids and get some structure, exercise and decompression before seeing how he'd be with other dogs.  An obedience class where he can learn the basics around other dogs would help him tremendously. He knows sit and down but, not his other commands, yet.  He is very treat motivated.  However, in a new place with new smells, sights and sounds he loses focus on you and the treats.  With some socialization and basic training, that will improve.
