Story
Farrah is a cattle dog mix born in April 2023. She came in as a stray with another dog. Farrah isn't very fond of the other dogs here at the shelter, so it might be best, if you have another dog, to do a meet and greet first to see how it goes. She walks well on a leash and likes attention from those she considers her friends. Do you want to meet Farrah and become one of her friends? She would like to meet you! All pets adopted from the Humane Society of Freeborn County will be spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, testing and will be microchipped. All of this is included in their adoption fee. Fill out an application to adopt at freeborncountyhs.org When transitioning your new pet home please allow for at least 4-6 weeks for your pet to adjust to their new home. They will need this time to decompress, and adjust to a new routine and environment. During that time we will provide check ins and counseling to ensure a successful transition. Please review all basic adoption requirements listed on our website before applying. We take finding the right homes for the animals in our care very seriously. They deserve nothing but the best! Please allow 2-7 days for applications to be processed. If an animal is listed in foster care, these pets are not at our facility, but are in foster care homes. They are still available for adoption, and meet and greets are done with pre-approved applicants only. If you have any questions feel free to send us an email at freeborncohumanesociety@gmail.com, send us a message on Facebook, or call or text 507-377-8501.

Story
Darling is a smaller cattle dog mix born in January 2021. She came in as a stray with another dog. Darling isn't very fond of the other dogs here at the shelter, so she would probably do best as an only dog. Darling is very smart and aware of everything going on around her. She loves people and loves attention. She walks well on a leash and rides well in a car. Darling is eager to find a new family and start a new life - would you like to be her new best friend? She hopes so! All pets adopted from the Humane Society of Freeborn County will be spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, testing and will be microchipped.
