Nana has been in foster care with a MARS staff member since Aug 2021. During this time Nana has been working on all her life skills, with the help of our trainer.  At her annual exam on 6/7/22 she tested positive for heartworm. She went through heartworm treatment with flying colors. She has been retested for heartworm and is now negative. She needs to remain on monthly heartworm prevention, year round, for the rest of her life. Nana came to MARS with some significant fear based reactivity, stranger danger and trust issues. With the dedication of her foster and trainer she has improved dramatically and is ready to find her FOREVER home.  Nana will need to continue using these newly mastered life skills in her new home with a calm and confident human leader. MARS will provide training with her adopter during the transition.  While Nana is able to live in a townhome she would do best without shared walls as she does get vocal when she hears the door bell, loud noises, sees dogs or sees/hears people outside. Nana would LOVE a home with a big fenced yard that she can safely run around and have the zoomies. She loves to chill outside during the warm months! Once you are one of her trusted people she is sweet and cuddly and just wants to be with you. She would prefer to be the only pet in her new home.   If you are interested in learning more about Nana please complete an application! Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  or    *The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility and does not come with a pedigree. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. //   Find our applications at www.midwestanimalrescue.orgAdoption Fee $400 plus taxGracie is the happiest and sweetest girl with a pinch of sass and goofiness (and she's the cutest). Her tail is always wagging and she loves to be around people. She loves looking out the window and watching cars drive by, neighbors walking their dogs, and keeping an eye on those pesky squirrels. She also likes to look out the window to keep track of us leaving and waits for us to come home. It’s the cutest thing to see her sitting in the window. She spends most of the day looking out the window so she would love it if her forever family had a spot for her to watch the world go by. She finished her heartworm treatment at the end of January, but she is still on restricted exercise until the end of March when she can slowly be eased back into exercising. Once she’s able to exercise again, she would love to have a fenced in yard so she can run, chase squirrels and rabbits, and lay in the sunshine. She would also like to go for daily walks. She does well on a leash but will pull if she sees a squirrel or other small animal. She is a cuddle bug, especially in the morning so she would love if her forever family spent time in the mornings recharging her cuddle battery. She does not like the kennel, she gets very stressed, but she does well having the run of the house. As long food and trash are put away, she doesn't get into anything. She’s also not a fan of the car, but that could probably get better with positive reinforcement training. She is very smart and picks things up quickly. She hasn’t met any cats or dogs yet living with us so I can’t speak to how she reacts to new furry friends, but she has met kids and does well with them. If you’re looking for someone to go for walks with, play in the yard with, and then sit on the couch with, Gracie is your girl. And look at those ears!     If you have previously applied with us please email adoptionatmars@gmail.com to reactivate your application with new interest. All fees are subject to MN sales tax and a processing fee at the time of adoption. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.     Winnie is a playful, energetic, young cattle dog/husky mix who is approx just over a year old. She was found in the middle of the road on a stormy day, frantically pacing back and forth, soaking wet and covered in ticks. After many people reported seeing her and no one coming forward to claim her for weeks, Winnie was lured to a live trap with lots of good treats so she could be brought safely inside! Young lady Winnie has a lot of energy and curiosity! She loves to play fetch, go for car rides, dog kibble and hanging out with her dog friends. Winnie currently is fostered on a farm with dogs, cats, cows, horses and chickens. She occasionally wants to chase the cats and chickens, but overall does well everyone. She's a little nervous about new people at first, but warms up quickly. She will do best in a home with older kids or adults that will respect her boundaries and that can be patient with her as she will need to continue some basic training. Winnie does have some separation anxiety (which is understandable with what she went through!) but still kennels pretty well. She will always greet you with a very excited howl when you arrive back home! Winnie is a smart girl and with her food motivation and complete loyalty to her people once she's comfortable, she will make a great companion! Winnie is currently fostered in Becker, MN. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.     This is Divine (1yo, 30lb) and she lives up to her name! She's a Bluetick/Beagle/Cattle Dog mix (we think) who is a total sweetheart & love bug. Divine loves going out and about with her people. She loves nature walks, going out to fancy dinners, and running around the park with her pup pals! We think Divine would be the perfect addition to a home with another dog (or two!), older kids who want a buddy to play with and train, and an active family who can give her all the socialization and mental & physical stimulation she needs to thrive!  Divine is crate & potty trained, knows basic commands, learning threshold boundaries, and is very eager to learn more!  She is still learning "off" because she is very excited to experience the world around her. She does have a nose for adventure - she may take extra time to learn recall. For this reason we encourage a long-lead or fenced yard to train! She is still learning how to walk on a leash, but is making progress with every walk. Divine is still learning to love car rides, she just asks that she doesn't eat before going for a cruise!  She’s loving and affectionate, and outgoing to everyone she meets. Divine is happy to curl up on your lap for a cuddle after a good play session with her doggie friends. She’s good with other dogs, good with kids, and has been non-reactive to cats. Divine is the perfect combination of playful and cuddly, and will make an amazing family dog! Interested in adopting? Please complete an interest form on our website   here  . You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.     Say hello to little Elena! Elena is a sweet heeler mix pup who is about 3-4 months old and around 24 lbs. Born in rural Alabama, Elena and her siblings were surrendered to a shelter as an unwanted litter. Elena has a gorgeous distinctive look about her - in addition to her darling freckles, she has reddish brown eyelashes on one eye, and ivory cream eyelashes on the other! Typical for a puppy, Elena is sweet, playful, inquisitive, and eager to learn. She is a big time cuddler and loves to either sit or lay right next to her people any chance she gets. Elena is already proving to be very smart - she has learned how to "sit" and wait patiently for her meals already. She also has got leash-walking down pat, and sleeps through the night. Elena LOVES to be outside, whether it's going on walks, playing chase or wrestle with the resident dogs, or just to lay in the sun.  Elena loves chews and toys - especially furry squeaky ones. She's working really hard to contain her excitement and not jump, but she'll have that down in no time! Elena does great with other dogs, but hasn't met any kitties yet. Her potty training is going great, and she's trustworthy enough to be left to roam the house with the other dogs when her fosters are gone.  Interested in adopting? Story
Meet little Bramble!! This little girl is such a cutie. She is a blend of Australian Shepherd x Australian Heeler. She is probably one of the sweetest little deaf girls we have had. Don't let her deafness fool you, she is wicked smart, loves her people and want to be with them. Bramble gets along with other dogs, is crate trained, and almost completely house trained. A fenced yard is preferred, solely because she is deaf and this is merely for her safety. Bramble is looking for a home that will be able to communicate with hand gestures and will give her the direction she needs. Often times deaf dogs will bond very tight to their people or other family pets and they will utilize them as their ears. Don't let this detour you from looking at her, she really is a little gem!! Bramble came into rescue through transfer from another facility where she came in as a stray. Bramble is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, tested negative for heartworm, and is microchipped. Bramble is available adoption. Fine Print: All dogs of NWMNAR are screened at the headquarters in Ada, Mn until they are vetted. They are then transferred to foster homes throughout MN and some into ND so they can get used to lifestyles with a family in a home. Adoption fee for an adult dog is $300 + Mn tax. Adoption fee for a dog over 3 years of age is $300 + Mn tax., pup/dog1 year to 3 years is $400 + Mn tax. Under 1 year of age $500 + Mn tax. Free adoption applications can be found on our website at: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/NMA/Dog. Because NWMNAR is not a public shelter, meet and greets do not take place until an application has been approved and a home visit has been completed in person or virtually. Meet and greets will take place in a public setting along with the adoption if compatible. Dogs can be met in Ada, MN weekday and weekends, or in our alternate office location in Maple Grove, MN on weekends only. Once we receive your submission, our application review team will be in touch with you. Please have patience while they look over your application.

Story
In the spring of 2023, we got a call about 4 dogs who were in bad shape and living in the woods a couple of hours from me. We set traps and were able to rescue 2 of the 4. We tried and tried to get the other 2, but we were unable to do so. Some of the local people continued to try to get them, as well, but couldn’t. I am still very sad about having to leave them behind. Chester and Chloe were near death when we rescued them. They were starving, their skin was horrible, and of course, they had every known parasite. They are healthy now. Chloe is still very shy, and I feel that she needs a special home with a lot of love, patience and attention! We do not see any aggression in her. She has been at Blue Ribbon Kennels now for 14 months and needs a forever and loving home so badly. She has never had the opportunity to live inside a house and to be part of a family. Chloe is in Mississippi. When adopted, she will come fully vetted and will be transported by Rescue Riders, a very reliable transporter. All of this is included in her adoption fee.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    DOB:  03/22/2017 Requires another dog in home: No Okay with dogs of all sizes: Yes, sometimes selective with small dogs Okay with cats: No, has prey drive Okay with children under 12 years old: Has done fine with kids 4+ that are respectful  Weight: 49 pounds Requires a fenced yard:  No,  with limited mobility he needs a special helper harness for his back end. A yard would give him the freedom to roam.  Note: dogs must always be leashed whenever outside of a contained area Hello, my name is Galleta, and I am an incredibly handsome and happy adult Shepherd/Cattle Dog mix. Sure, I have limited feeling and movement in my hind legs, but I love life just the same! I mean not only do I have a wonderful wheelchair that allows me to run around but I also get to do about 10-15 minutes of physical therapy, stretches, & exercises every single day to help ensure my muscles don’t atrophy. Some people may not like doing a PT regimen, but I don’t mind it at all because it’s more quality time with my people. I would love to find a family that would also bring me to a chiropractor, acupuncturist, and even swimming!! Oh my gosh not only is playing fetch in the water is SOOOO much fun but I am an excellent swimmer! I do not like a lot of commotion and I’m a bit shy around new people especially if they get too close, but I love to be with MY people and I’m getting braver every day! I have a high prey drive so cats are probably not a good fit for me; I’m good with kids as long as they don't try and climb on me; and I do well with most other dogs although I can be a bit selective with small dogs. But mostly, I am easy going! I am a super smart boy who’s not only potty, crate, and leash trained but I know a bunch of commands like “down”, “kennel/crate”, “outside”, “wait”, and a release word “ok”.  Also, I have learned how to go up and down stairs! I can climb 3-4 steps of any surface on my own, and a full flight of carpeted stairs on my own if supervised. Sometimes I need a little help to get started if the landing is slippery like vinyl or hardwood. Ideally my forever home doesn't have a lot of stairs inside and going outside.  I am a happy, playful, and very loving boy who loves giving hugs, kisses, & snuggles, playing fetch in a huge yard, going to the dog park, playing with my toys, going for leashed walks, getting lots of belly rubs, and eating treats especially fruits & veggies! YUUUMMM!!! Oh yeah, I almost forgot, I also love to practice Barn Hunt…I may not be able to compete, but I sure do have a great time practicing! Hee, hee!! Anyway, I am an incredibly sweet bundle of love who is simply looking for patience and unconditional love from a committed fur-ever family that not only will NEVER give up on me but who will help me continue my physical therapy routine and keep me safe. I promise that I am totally worth it, and I will love you more than you could EVER imagine! Love & snuggles, Galleta. *Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders.  Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit.  Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.  ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there***  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Want to meet me? Come to the Underdog Headquarters (3345 Dakota Ave, St. Louis Park, 55416) on Sunday, March 16th from 10:30-11:30 am. Please email inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com for questions regarding the dogs. Hello, my name is Tacoma and I am a happy gal from Texas ready to find my forever home in Minnesota. I am an incredibly beautiful 6.5 year old Australian Cattle dog mix. I am a bit on the smaller size – so perfect for snuggling into a comfy dog bed! I also really like laps and my humans. I like to see them and be by them when I can. I am such a smart and fun girl, but there are a few things you should know about me. I am deaf, but I don’t let that stop me. I have picked up the routine in the house very quickly. And I know that if you are patient with me, I'll keep learning more and more stuff! I also have a medical issue called “fly biting”. The dogtor thinks it is related to my diet. With a low carb diet and daily Prilosec, it is manageable. While it might be weird, or nerve wracking for you when you first see it, it doesn't last long. In fact, my foster dad says I shouldn't worry that it will make people not want me. He says it isn't a big deal and that he never even notices anymore.  When I came to Minnesota it was also discovered that I was heartworm positive. While those pesky worms are gone and I'm a very healthy girl now, I will need to be on year-round heartworm prevention. I know that's a lot for a girl, but I think being honest is the best policy.  Isn’t that what you humans say?  And even though I get nervous about it sometimes, my foster dad reminds me that we all have quirks and that I should stay positive about finding my forever home. He says that I'd do best in a calmer home and that there are loads of families with calm homes, and that I just need to be patient.    I would love to find a forever home with another dog that can help me stay on a routine and keep me busy. I am not a high energy dog but a busy girl following my people and the other dogs around the house and yard. I don’t need a fenced yard since I am leash trained but would do best in a fenced yard to run and play in.  If running in a fenced yard isn’t possible, it’s okay if I have someone who can help me burn some energy out on walks, runs or teach me agility skills (I am very smart after all!).  I love meeting new people and really like watching passing cars or passing people.  I think everyone is my friend, they just haven’t met me yet so I like to try to meet everyone!  I do try and play with the cats in my foster home, so if there are cats in my forever home they would need to be dog savvy and slowly introduced. If I didn’t have my foster sister to romp around and play with, I might be too interested in the cats and I don’t think they would enjoy how much fun I am. I love being around my people and following them around – they are helping me work on my manners like not jumping on people or barking at strangers. The barking doesn’t really bother me since I can’t hear it anyway, ha ha, but I guess strangers may not like it.  I’m doing well and will keep practicing my manners.  I do love face and neck rubs with an open hand. Back scratches aren't my thing and might make me nervous. But, when the face and neck rubs are really good I will even snort! I also really love laps, like really really love laps. I had to learn that laps are sometimes things vs all the time things. Apparently, humans can't really drive when I want to sit on their lap in the car. Who knew? Instead I just sit quietly and look out the window, but you may have to remind me I can’t sit on your lap in the car, ha!  There are some neighbor kids that I get to hang out with and we love each other. They like to hold my leash and hug me, and it is fun to get to hang out with them. I love naps too. And, even though I can't hear, I know if you get up and will wake myself up after a few moments to come find you! Remember...I love to hang out with my people. I am potty trained and crate trained. I live with a few other dogs and really enjoy the company of one in particular – she is a great buddy and we like to play together. Sometimes I do get into trouble, and it kinda makes my foster dad laugh, although he knows he shouldn’t. He says that I will pick up anything that isn’t nailed down – shoes, socks etc and carry it around – then my foster sister grabs the other end and the circus begins. Play time is great!! I love to be part of the action and would love to find a forever home that will love me unconditionally and help me be the best girl I can be! I know you will love me with all your heart, because I already love you! I hope to meet you soon! Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Story
Hi! My name is Dally but you can call me handsome, or good looking, or baby boy I am just happy to be called anything from people! I have been with my foster family for a little while now and all I ever hear them call me is “good boy”. In the short time that I have been with my foster family I have learned so many things! Like that I LOVE small humans, I have heard them called kids. I also love other dogs and have done well with cats! I have learned a few manners like sit, up, down and come Dally (well okay most the time I remember this one!). I have dogs in my foster home now and I love to play with them. My foster mom says that I adapt to their attitudes really well. If they want to play I am all in and if they just want to hang around and be lazy I am happy to just snuggle with them and keep warm! One of my favorite things about being in rescue is the access to all the bones and toys a good boy like me could ask for! I am great at sharing them with the other dogs in the house as well. My ABSOLUTE favorite thing about being in rescue is know that I will always have a full belly and treats to munch on! My foster mom says this makes it easier to teach me new tricks! I am house trained AND trusted to not be in a kennel when my foster family leaves for the day. They did try out the kennel when I first arrived and I just wasn’t feeling it. I would sing the Blues until someone came home. So now I am left out most of the time and I do okay when I can just watch out the window waiting for them to come back! See I told you I was a good boy! The only thing that my foster mom would say I need to work on is staying in the yard. She puts me on a tie out to keep me safe but I would do well with a 6 foot fenced in yard so I could roam free while still being safe!  I do really well with the tie out though and have become the master at untangling myself! I would really love to find a family of my own! So if you are looking for a smart, affectionate, playful pup I’m your boy! Correction… GOOD boy! If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please submit an Adoption Request Form. This is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about The Rescue Crew adoption process and the care our foster animals receive, please visit our Adoption Process page on our official website.  All companion animals adopted by The Rescue Crew are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLK (cats) or heartworm (dogs), microchipped, dewormed and provided with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives prior to adoption.  The Rescue Crew is a foster based rescue organization, meaning all of our adoptable pets are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a physical location where you can stop by to visit the animals - we require the completion of an Adoption Application prior to meeting any of our adoptable pets in foster care. For the most complete information regarding this animal, and all of our adoptable pets, please ensure you are visiting our website directly at www.RescueCrew.org. You can also access the necessary online adoption application here as well. Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. ##2213868##

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. //   Find our applications at www.midwestanimalrescue.orgAdoption Fee $350 plus taxPeggy Lee is a smart and spirited mix of shepherd/herding and working breeds. She seems to be always thinking and noticing. She takes time to warm up to people, but once she does, she cannot get enough belly rubs and snuggles. Until she feels comfortable, she will “alert bark” at strangers and does not want to be approached, unless it is on her terms. But… be ready for a complete 180. Displaying kindness and patience in the first few weeks will pay off in a lifetime of affection and adoration from this lovable girl. Before you know it, you will have a snuggle buddy and loving companion. She has begun occasionally letting a gentle stranger pet her, but it takes calm encouragement from the person she trusts. With consistency and support, she should greatly improve in this area. She went from being fearful of foster mom’s boyfriend to wanting belly rubs from him, within a few visits. She loves car rides, naps in the yard, trips to the dog park, walks, and any other adventures. She would probably be a happy boating dog. She may also enjoy agility or another active sport.  Peggy Lee is crate trained! After a few mournful moments as foster mom leaves for work, she settles down in the crate, much easier than when she’s left loose in the house. She will voluntarily choose to hang out in her crate even with the door wide open. But she wants to be near her people and part of the family. Peggy Lee has so much affection to give. She wants nothing more than to love and be loved. She is easy to train, when done in a loving way. Peggy learned sit, lay down, and “paw” (to shake) in just a few days. When I tell her she’s a good girl, her tail just thumps on the floor in pure happiness. She entertains herself with chew toys and loves a good squeaker. As a strong and athletic dog, she benefits from an opportunity to run and play every day. Don’t miss the video of her zoomies with the frisbee. Peggy Lee sleeps soundly at night in her dog bed on the floor, although she would be happy be with her human in the bed as well. She needs the company of another confident and interactive dog in her home. She looks to the other dog for cues for just about everything. She will gleefully engage in play with her doggy sibling. She is overly obsessed with cats, and very vocal about it, so she needs a cat-free home. She will keep all squirrels, cats, and birds out of your yard. She will also let you know if she sees a cat out the window.  Peggy Lee really is a special kind of dog who is just what someone out there is seeking. Adoption Fees are Non Negotialble. All fees are subject to MN sales tax and a processing fee at the time of adoption. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  or    *The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility and does not come with a pedigree. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. Sometimes the pets appear to be a particular breed(s) in the pictures we receive from our rescue partners and when they arrive we are surprised to see an entirely different breed(s) in person!  If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess. It is with deep longing that we wish there was a breed called 'cute' as we believe all of our dogs would fall under this new breed classification! Completion of an Adoption Application via our website www.midwestanimalrescue.org is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is the first step in our adoption process.  *Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.  Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance. //

Story
Hi, I’m Moose! I’m a herding breed mix of some kind born 10/7/23!   I am very energetic and always looking to play. I’m even good at playing by myself with my toys!  I’m friendly with everyone - adults, kids, dogs of all sizes, and cats.  Any person I meet immediately becomes my best friend!  I bark sometimes when other dogs are playing rambunctiously or when I get scared.  I like to make my foster mom laugh by talking back to her when she tells me to be quiet.  I typically prefer to be cuddled up with my people.  I am potty trained and can go several hours without an accident (while my foster mom is at work).  I sleep in my crate, and I am quiet at night.  I’ve mastered leash walking but want to sniff EVERYTHING on my walks and also will try to chase squirrels.  If you’re interested in meeting me, let me know!  I’d love to meet you!   Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $550.00 Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 5, 2024, 5:33 pm

Story
Jenny is a mini Aussie born 4/17/21.   I also call her JJ and Jen Jen.   Jenny is still working on potty training. She doesn’t let you know when she has to go. She does use a reusable pee pad, when she does have to go. She will chew up the disposable ones. She is kennel trained and does great. The longest I’ve had her kenneled is 12 hours and she hasn’t had an accident when in her kennel. She is still getting used to my 6 year old, so I would say older kids would be best. She has been great with the other dogs she’s met. She is good with my cat although she can play rough but she redirects well.    She does good on the leash and is now great in the car. She likes putting her head out the window.  She has a high energy level so a fenced in yard would be best. She is extremely fast and hard to catch. She does have a good recall. She’s still cautious and skittish with new people.   It took her 6-8 weeks for her to trust me and can still be skittish with me. She will paw and bark at you to get your attention. She will also let you cuddle with her.   She is making progress everyday. She is not kenneled at night and I allow her to sleep in my bed. If you kennel her while you’re home she will bark and paw at her kennel door. Once she trusts you she’ll be your best friend and protector. Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, dental, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue.
