Story
A portion of my adoption fee has been sponsored by my friends at The Murray Fund. The adoption fee sponsorship credit of $375.00 will be applied during the contract process. Hi, my name is Camilo. I am a local surrender. From the foster: Hi, I'm Camilo! My favorite thing to do is play fetch. If I have a ball then I'm super happy. I also like to explore new places and car rides for ice cream are pretty fun. I have quite a bit of energy and will let you know I am bored by shoving toys in your face. I also really enjoy cuddling and will curl up next to you on the couch anytime. I am a super sweet dog and I really love my people. I'm such a good boy that my foster family leaves me to have free range of the house while they're gone. I sleep with my foster mom and prefer it to a kennel but I am okay with either. I really hope to find my forever home with people that will love me as much as I love them! Camilo does have seasonal allergies and will occasionally need shots for it but is really easily managed. The biggest complication with him is he has some pretty severe people reactivity. He does amazing with us and is just fine with close friends and family that he has met many times. He doesn't like strangers to come in the house and is okay outside as long as people are far enough away. This is something we have been working on but he still has a good ways to go before he is able to be brought anywhere with people. This past winter he did just fine as less people are outside, however, with the nicer weather his reactivity became more apparent. He does just fine with most dogs, especially if they are smaller than him, and currently lives comfortably with another dog in the same space. He really is an amazing companion. He is super sweet and gentle when at home, just doesn't know how to manage his fears and needs some more extensive training.

Story
Hi! I'm Biscoff. I'm from Texas. From her foster: Hi my name is Biscoff and everyone says I'm the sweetest dog. I'm very friendly and love being with people of all ages as well as with other dogs. Currently my absolute favorite thing to do is go to dog parks. I'm not shy so I will introduce myself to every person and dog at the park and initiate playing with them. I get lots of compliments from other dog owners about my sweet temperament. And they can't believe how good I am with little kids. My foster mom's 4 year old daughter loves to play with me, hug me ,cuddle with me ,and I'm always very gentle with her, even when she gets kind of wild. I get really excited when my foster mom and daughter get home. I also like it when other people come over, even strangers. I will run up to greet them. My foster mom is working with me on not jumping up on people. I just want them to pet me. I also will roll over for a belly rub. My second favorite thing to do is go on walks, the longer the better because I have lots of energy. I'm still considered a puppy at one year and 3 months of age. I tend to pull on the leash so I'm working on that too. When it's time to go to bed I would prefer to snuggle up with my foster mom in her bed but she prefers that I sleep in the kennel, I'm fine sleeping all night in my kennel. I also go in the kennel while my foster mom goes to work. I would love to have a back yard to spend time in. I think I'd be fine with a single person forever home or with a family of any size. If you have another dog for me to play with that would be nice. I'd be fine if I got all the attention as well. If you have some love to give, get ahold of The Bond Between. I won't let you down. I have a lot of love to give as well.

Story
Hi! I'm Cinnabun! am an energetic, smart, and playful pup! I would do best in a home without young children, though I do like them! I have been guarding my food so I need some help with that! I love to learn though, I just need you to provide the instruction! It would be best for mealtimes to be away from people and other dogs... Table for one please! :) My report cards for house and crate training have been top notch... I'm really smart! From her foster: Cinnabun brings laughter and sweetness into our home every day and we truly enjoy her company. She is an energetic puppy who will benefit from a home that can provide consistent, positive training. She'll need special attention to resource guarding training when eating and playing with toys. We've been working with her and she is eager to learn. She is potty trained, woohoo! As a heeler mix, she loves learning new skills and having jobs to do. She'll do best in a home where she can be active, both physically and intellectually. Cinnabun is undeniably sweet, as well. She checks in with us regularly to make sure her people are all there and okay :) and absolutely loves a good belly rub.

Hi! My name is Owen and I am from Texas. From his foster: Owen is a very friendly, good with kids, likes naps, gets zoomies but can be super calm. He is still learning to potty train, will whine if you leave him in kennel but if he's in kennel at night and he can see someone then he'll be fine

Story
Hi! My name is Ozzy and I am from Texas. From his foster: He loves taking naps, going for car rides, walks, or just hanging out with his humans. He is doing very well with potty training and crate training. From the Vet: Hi! I''m Ozzy and I'm looking for a special forever family! When I came into rescue my siblings and I were set to be spayed and neutered, but it was discovered that I had a fairly serious heart murmur. After an echocardiogram with my friends at the University of Minnesota Cardiology it was determined that the cause of my murmur was 2 heart defects. PDA (Patent ductus arteriosus - a defect that causes the ductus arteriosus to not close properly at birth) and pulmonic stenosis (a narrowing of the pulmonic valve). I was promptly scheduled for a heart surgery to repair these 2 defects. During surgery a device was placed in my artery to close the whole caused by the PDA defect. While attempting to place the balloon in my pulmonary valve I had some complications that halted surgery so my cardiology team could save my life!! I am so thankful they did. The team at the U of M has decided that it will be best to recheck my heart in 3 months and decide if that time if the balloon will still be needed. I hope that my future family can help me continue on my road to recovery, but for now I am a happy puppy with a much better prognosis than I had a few weeks ago! While I am still a puppy my family will want to keep a close eye on my and give me lots of breaks if my ever becomes too rapid or labored. Should I ever experience irregular respiration, extreme lethargy or fluid buildup in my abdomen this may require urgent or emergency care. TBB will agree to cover my recheck echo in 3 months along with the balloon valvuloplasty surgery (plus any medications provided along with surgery) if recommended at that 3 month recheck scheduled in Feb 2025. Because of these heart conditions they also advised that any elective surgeries such as a neuter be delayed until after that recheck. TBB will agree to cover my neuter procedure if completed at TBB or an approved veterinary partner. I hope to meet you and fall in love soon!

Story
I am looking for a foster or forever family! I have a neuter appointment on 11/22. I would love a foster home with a canine companion who loves to play! Please email fostersupport@thebondbetween.org to sign up to foster! Select the "Apply for Adoption" if you would like to adopt Hi! My name is Fiddler and I am from Arkansas. From his foster: Fiddler is your typical, 100% puppy! He has two modes, on and off. He and his brother wrestle, play, and partake in zoomies, followed by a flop and a nap. Potty training and crate training is a work in progress. He is the more independent and outgoing of the two, but is more upset when left alone without you. He LOVES toys and playing both inside and out. If you sit down on the floor he immediately wants to be in your lap. He does great with dogs but hasn't been tested with cats. When he gets all his energy out during day he's already been sleeping through the night. If you're ready for a typical puppy and all the love (and shenanigans!) that come with it, he will make a great addition to most families!
