Give her a little time, and you’ll see her silly, goofy side—playing, wagging, and soaking up every bit of affection she can. Kash is a 60 lb unaltered male heeler. He lived across the street from me and when the owners moved, they left him, so he ended up staying with me. My house and yard are too small for 2 active heelers. He gets along with my female dog (spayed), my 2 cats and grandkids. He would love to follow a pack, he does whatever my dog does. He gets very excited and will jump on you; but is learning his manners. He loves attention and car rides. He has an appt to be neutered in March.

Rehoming due to not getting along very well with our older male dog. Has been around kids, but does get very excited and jump. Needs time and some training for sure. Lots of space to run. Was supposed to be a temporary stay, but fell through.

- Can be shy at first but is super sweet once he opens up - Knows sit and will happily show you for treats - Walks nicely on a leash - Prefers to explore and do his own thing here in the shelter but will likely open up more once he's in a home environment and has had time to decompress - Tends to be an introvert around other dogs and may prefer one-on-one interactions or smaller groups of dog friends; may not be comfortable at dog parks or at large, dog-friendly events (dog intro recommended) - Looking for a teens-and-up home right now All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and DA2PPV as appropriate for their age)The ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed.
