She is now looking for a furever home without small kids. Foster mom is learning a lot about PAPRIKA who she renamed KYVAH. KYVAH is a typical active puppy who needs a patient family to help her with socialization. KYVAH is already house-trained and crate-trained. She is smart and has lots of potential, but she appears scared (barks or backs away) and does not have the self-confidence to be able to greet strangers. Foster mom is working on more socialization with people by bringing her on walks with her mobility scooter. KYVAH likes to play with other dogs (check out video of her with big dog AZURE and foster sibling) and is fine with the resident cat (see video). She does show herding behaviors (e.g., nipping), so we are likely looking for a home without small children. ***NEEDS FOREVER HOME*** Currently in Malta, ID ---POSSIBLE THERAPY DOG--- Meet 8 month old, 23-lb BOB who was hit by a car and has already had 3 surgeries to repair both upper leg bones. Fortunately, we scored an excellent, experienced medical foster home who has nursed BOB back to a healthy condition and socialized him, so he is ready for his furever home. His furever family just needs to know that he will have some physical limitations. BOB needs to gain strength and endurance which will come in time. From the foster mom's perspective, BOB is an absolute charmer! He loves a lot of attention. He bonded quickly with her and has become a velcro dog. He's still skittish around strangers (especially men). He will let you know when he needs to go outside or hungry or just wants some cuddle time. BOB is great with cats, dogs, chickens, rabbits...all kinds of animals. He shows no food or other resource reactivity with animals or people. BOB is house-trained and crate-trained (it is his safe place). He has been trained to stay off of furniture. He has been taught to walk beside his handler even without a leash. BOB is still getting used to getting into vehicles, but once he gets in, he really enjoys going for a ride and he's very well-behaved. Foster mom believes that BOB would make a really good therapy dog because he seems to have a lot of empathy when someone is sad or lonely. So BOB isn't perfect...if BOB doesn't get your attention or if he is left free in the house while you do an errand, he will make his presence known...he will find a work glove or slipper or tennis shoe and chews on it. What's interesting about this, is he gets one shoe/slipper from every person in the house! INTRODUCING ARIA🩷 Aria is an affectionate 9-month-old Border Collie/Labrador mix that is seeking her new family through PAWS Rescue inc. Aria has a natural curiosity and a quick mind. Eager to learn and impress, she would excel in agility training or any mentally engaging activity. Aria is fully house-trained, comfortable in her kennel, and happiest when she’s with her people or enjoying playtime with another dog. Aria can be left un-kenneled while gone and is a perfect princess. She walks well on a leash, making her an excellent companion for daily strolls, and is wonderful with kids. While she may be tempted to chase cars, her playful energy and charm make her a delightful addition to any home. Her behavior with cats is still unknown. Meet Lovable Louie! He is about 11 pounds, 8 weeks old, and we think he may be an Australian Cattledog/Boxer mix, but with rescue it’s always a guess! This puppy is from a part of the US where puppies are regularly euthanized. So, this puppy needs you! Rowan is a 1yo heeler mix. He is FULL of puppy energy and never seems to get tired. The only thing he loves more than his ball, is his person and he wants to be right by your side all the time. That being said, he also does well by himself for long periods of time as long as he has a chew toy or a puzzle. He has his obedience training down, is learning basic agility, and has started scent training. He is extremely intelligent and eager to please. He also does great in long car rides. However, he does have strong heeler genes. Rowan can be protective and can be aggressive towards others. He did not receive the socialization or training needed as a puppy. We are working on training and have seen progress in his behavior. Unfortunately, we do not have the resources to maintain this. He needs an understanding owner who will love him like we do and a home where he can thrive.

***NEEDS FUREVER HOME*** Currently in Kimberly, ID INDIE appears to be about a 3 year old, 35-lb kelpie mix with good energy and was a very good momma to her 7 puppies. INDIE is a very affectionate and fun dog. She plays with toys and chases balls and sticks. She loves playing with water (see videos). She loves being in the backyard where she can scan the perimeter for the neighbor dogs. When she hears them come out, she runs to the fence, wags her tail and whines to get them to come run the fence with her. She loves to spy on them through knot holes in the fence. INDIE is food-motivated and very eager to please. She is not a great walker in the neighborhood. She enjoys our walks, but she pulls on the leash. And when she hears a dog up ahead or sees people getting out of a car, she pulls harder. She wants so badly to go see what is going on and meet new people and dogs. She used to try and chase cars as they drove by, but now she stops walking and watches them drive by. She also loves to chase squirrels and birds. INDIE loves everyone she meets, especially children. She had a little bit of excitatory pee the other day when meeting the neighbor kids. She plops over and offers her belly to everyone she meets. But she can be a little mouthy when she is excited and someone is petting her (puts your hand/arm in her mouth), but she does not bite - it is just a little surprising. This could be because of the herding dog in her. INDIE has a healed shoulder injury from her original living situation where she was a working ranch dog, but it does not slow her down a bit. She is not crate-trained, but is well-behaved when I leave her home alone in the house. She sits by the front window and watches for me to return. She loves looking out the window to see what is going on. Whether you left the house for 2 minutes just to take the trash out, or you were gone for hours, she will greet you with great excitement when you come back in. Now that her puppies have been adopted, INDIE is being a good sport as the only dog in the house, but she would love to be a part of a family and have a playmate of her own. He is an absolute cuddler. RYDER has a little white diamond on the tip of his nose and a diamond mark on his forehead. He also has horseshoe type lines like eyeliner around his eyes.
