Story
POPPY is ready for her furever home for the holidays! ❄️ Here is what POPPYs foster has to say: “This is Poppy! They said she’s around 9 months old and about 45-50 pounds. She’s super sweet & shy at first but has gained more confidence from being around and playing with my golden retriever. She thinks she is a guard dog and is VERY loyal to her “pack”. So far she’s been good with my dog and our cat with the exception of an occasional chasing of the cat when he runs. She’s doing better with potty training & does very well in her crate and is a super smart fast learner. She learned “sit” and “shake” within a couple tries of each.”

Story
Meet Hank! Hank, an 8-month-old pup with a natural stumpy tail, is likely a Stumpy Tail Cattle Dog or Heeler mix. His foster mom says he’s loyal, alert, and always nearby. He does great with dogs, cats, and even cuddles with other heelers. He’s learning not to chase feathered friends and loves to explore. Though timid at first, he quickly warms up and is eager to play and learn. Hank will soon be neutered and is up to date on vaccinations. History: At just five months old, Hank faced euthanasia in an overcrowded shelter. Thankfully, Friends Furever Rescue stepped in to save him. Breed Information Both the Australian Cattle Dog and Stumpy Tail Cattle Dog are hardworking herders with loyal, energetic, and intelligent traits. They thrive on exercise and mental stimulation. While the Stumpy Tail is more reserved, both breeds are excellent companions when given structure and activity. Traits: Loyal, alert, active, and smart. Exercise Needs: Long walks, runs, or herding classes. Training Tips: Positive reinforcement, socialization, and consistent rules are key. Disclaimer As with all rescue dogs, breed identification is based on appearance and experience and may not be exact. Hank is currently being fostered in Rupert, Idaho. Story
***NEEDS FUREVER HOME*** Currently in Kimberly, ID INDIE is a 2.5 year old, 40-lb kelpie/cattle dog mix with high/mid energy. INDIE is a very affectionate and playful dog. She loves being in the backyard where she can run the fence and bark with the neighbor dogs. She loves to spy on them through knot holes in the fence and call them over. INDIE is food-motivated and very eager to please. Indie is doing well with basic commands, but she is not a loose-leash walker. An over-the-nose leash helps her not pull as much on our walks. Indie has a high prey drive - she even helps me in the garden by catching grasshoppers. INDIE loves everyone she meets, especially children. She is not crate-trained, but is well-behaved when I leave her home alone in the house. She sits by the front window and watches for me to return. She loves looking out the window to see what is going on. Whether you left the house for 2 minutes just to take the trash out, or you were gone for hours, she will greet you with great excitement when you come back in. Indie is very social and loves to play with other dogs, but she is selective. Slow, proper intros are best. Indie is ready to join a loving family. Apply to meet Indie today! BACKGROUND: Former ranch working dog that got injured. She was turned in by her owner to the rescue with a healed (formerly broken paw ), pregnant, and living outside. Momma INDIE is so very grateful to be out of the blizzard conditions when she was rescued. She had even dug a hole in the frozen ground to keep her seven pups warm and safe before she was rescued. Story
If we had to choose one word to describe Ryder, it would be thoughtful. This 7-month-old pup takes his time to watch, observe, and then decide on his next move. Ryder is exceptionally intelligent and quick to pick up new skills—he’s always a step ahead of his siblings when it comes to learning. He knows how to sit and wait patiently for a treat. Ryder is fully housebroken, crate trained, and uses the doggy door like a pro. He’s also a big fan of water! Whether it’s dunking his whole face in a kiddie pool or playing with the hose, he can’t get enough. When it comes to walking, Ryder is a dream. He’s well-behaved on a gentle leader head collar leash and is generally calm for a puppy his age. He’s a sweet snuggler who loves to be close to his person, always wanting to stay by your side. Ryder has a knack for learning from his surroundings. He watches the older dogs and picks up on what gets them corrected—then chooses a different, more favorable way to behave. He’s treat-motivated and shows off his impressive leaping skills when he’s excited—he can look like a flying squirrel, leaping gracefully for a reward! Ryder has been well-socialized and has done great meeting other dogs, cats, and even children. He’s a well-rounded, agile, and loving pup who’s looking for his forever family. We are still getting to know this bunch of 6 sibling puppies, but so far, they are all pawsome! DOB: ~3/19/2024 SPICE (f) is dog-friendly and has shown no food-guarding issues while kenneled with siblings. She takes treats with a gentle mouth. She will need more help with loose-leash walking. BACKGROUND: These lucky puppies were rescued from an unsafe place in Malta. Unfortunately, 2 of their siblings got hit-by-car while they ran the area between neighbors. Story
My daughter and her boyfriend have this dog, Willy, but just found out they are going to have a baby in July. They also have a cat and another dog, and Willy is tolerable of them, but would rather they weren't there. He needs a place to run and exercise, honestly. He's a loving boy, about 5 years old and does not have accidents in the house. Please let me know if you have the space and love for this guy. Thank you.

Story
MEET RICK: Your Loyal Companion Rick has endured more than his share of challenges, spending 8 months surviving at a Boise-area landfill before being rescued. Now, this sweet and resilient pup is ready to leave his past behind and find his forever family. Rick is about 1 to 2 years old and weighs 38 lbs. He is a compact little guy with a loving, gentle nature. He gets along well with other dogs with proper introductions and has blended nicely with the pack at his foster home. While he hasn’t met cats yet, he’s done well around young kids and is eager to bond with people who will shower him with kindness and patience. Rick is potty-trained, and although crate training is still a work in progress, his intelligence and eagerness to please make him a fast learner. He’s a “Velcro dog,” happiest when he’s by your side, and his low-key, chill personality makes him a wonderful companion around the house. Because Rick can be sensitive to raised voices and is still learning the ropes, he would thrive in a calm, understanding home that can offer him love, stability, and the guidance he needs to continue blossoming. If you’re looking for a loyal, laid-back, and loving dog to be your partner in life, Rick might just be the one. Are you ready to give this sweet boy the home he’s been waiting for?
