Story
MEET Marley! 8 y/o mixed breed mellow spayed older gal Miss Marley was unfortunately surrendered to a vet for euthanasia for nipping at the owners grandkid. Even though the grandkid was pestering and overwhelming her space. The kind staff at the vet reached out to us since she has so much life left in her. She has been at Windswept a couple weeks and cries everyday all day she’s incredibly confused on why she’s here. She doesn’t seem to mind the company of smaller dogs. She would love a warm and cozy foster or furever home to live out the rest of her senior years! APPLY To meet Marley today!

Story
MEET ROMAN! Roman’s Journey: From Stray to Soulmate Roman is a handsome Heeler blend, approx 42 lbs and 1 1/2 years old. He is available for adoption through PAWS Rescue, Inc. Roman’s story began on the backroads of rural Idaho, where he was found wandering as a stray. Underweight and in need of care, Roman’s future looked uncertain until a kind rescuer stepped in. With love, patience, and a bit of good food, Roman began to blossom into the incredible dog he is today. In his foster home, Roman quickly showed his sweet and loving personality. He’s house- and crate-trained, and his eyes light up when he gets a treat or cuddles from his foster. His calm, low-energy demeanor indoors makes him the perfect companion for a cozy evening, while his playful spirit shines when he’s outdoors, ready for a walk or a game. Roman loves other dogs and does well with proper introductions. While his history with cats and chickens is unknown, he doesn’t seem to have a strong prey drive. And though his past suggests he might be a working heeler, Roman seems happiest just being part of a family, giving and receiving love. This gentle boy would thrive in a home with older, respectful children and someone who can share his love for leisurely walks and quiet moments. After everything Roman has been through, he’s ready to leave his past behind and find his forever family—a place where he can finally give and receive unconditional love. Are you ready to write the next chapter of Roman’s story?

Story
Goose is a big dog, in a very small package. He may be purebred, just lacking a lot of color. He is non aggressive and great with other dogs and cats. He is very smart, athletic, loyal and friendly (once he knows you) it takes him a minute to accept strangers, he's a little under socialized. He loves his crate, and squeaky toys.
