Story

Cashman is a handsome, quiet Standard Poodle that has gone through some life upheavals that he needs to put in his rearview mirror very soon. There has been no neglect, just anxiety from his humans that was passed along to him. We are looking for a place in life that will not leave him for long hours in the house alone. There are so many good situations that he would thrive in. Kids would be perfect if they are in the home. He is good with other dogs, cats, meeting new people is totally easy for him and he loves to load up easily in a car and go for rides. He is housebroken, crate trained and so very loving and easy to live with. He is 3 years old and weighs 56 pounds and could easily put on another 5-10 pounds of good muscle weight. We have published a BEFORE picture of him when he came to Critter Cavalry Rescue. We quickly had him groomed and now he features a handsome Summer cut. He was a dream at the groomer and she took the AFTER pictures of him in her beautiful garden. This boy is not a train wreck l like so many rehomes. He is a sweet dog that needs a stable family that provides him with no reasons to be anxious and alone for long periods of time. Hi, my name is Zara! I am a beautiful gray and white 3-year-old Australian Shepherd Poodle mix. While ladies typically don’t disclose their weight, I am about 50 lbs. If you are a smart and active person or couple looking to adopt a dog with a similar temperament, then we could be a great match! I love going for walks and would appreciate having someone who can incorporate that into my daily routine. Getting outside for exercise is something I enjoy, and I would also make an excellent running companion. Visiting the park or going on hikes would be a lot of fun, too! Not to brag, but I believe I'm quite a looker, and I’m confident that if you took me to the park, we would make lots of friends together. While I love people, I am not used to being around other dogs, so a dog park wouldn’t be suitable for me. However, I’m always up for hanging out where the people are! I’m also a bit too energetic for young children; I sometimes forget that I'm bigger than they are and might accidentally knock them over. It would be wonderful if someone in the household could work from home, as I am crate-trained but don't like spending long hours alone. I thrive on human interaction and am seeking a loving home.
