Story
Unfortunately for Rex and our family it has come time to rehome him. We are moving and home situation wouldn't fit us and him unfortunately. Rex is a GREAT dog, He was born Dec 22nd of 2019 and will be 5 years old soon. He is a GIANT SCHNOODLE. Giant schnauzer/standard poodle. Adopted from Pierce Schnoodles in spring 2020. He is leash trained, potty trained, inside trained, crate trained. He will sleep at your side and cuddle you if allowed. He has been left out of his crate when we've been gone and he's done fine. (not allowed on furniture in our house, so I'm sure he would forever grateful if allowed in his new home) LOL. He goes often to doggy daycare and has been boarded many many times with NO issues or problems EVER. Rex is LAZY BONES, he loves to sleep but like most dogs he can get excited when played with. Usually when he first wakes up and right before the kids go to sleep lol. He is about 90 lbs, NON shedding and hypo allergenic. Please reach out for further info!

Story
Thank you for your interest in dog who needs a new home.  Adoption can be one of the most fulfilling experiences in your life and especially in the life of your new canine companion. A note to those looking at CPR.  We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone.  Our job is to find those someone's.  Our most successful adopters come to CPR not because they want a dog.  They come to us because they want to give a dog a home.  We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture.  While we like to know what you like in looks, a dog is more than a pretty face.  Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home.  We want to create furever families.  Our descriptions contain all that we know about this dog today.  We'll update as more information is known.  Are you looking to adopt within the next 30 days?  If so please visit our webpage at www.carolinapoodlerescue.org and complete the application.  You'll find it in the menu on the left hand side.  You'll also find a total listing of all our dogs available.  Just browsing but interested in poodles and poodle mixes?  Please drop a note to applications@carolinapoodlerescue.org with your name, address and phone # and email.  We'll add you to our mailing list. thanks the CPR Adoption team   Date into Rescue:12/3/2024 Reason for being in rescue: Breeder release Foster location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet SC Special Needs? Bingo is neutered, up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative. Weight: 53 lbs Height: 24 in Spayed/Neutered: Yes Adoption Fee: $599 Fence needed? Yes, Bingo requires a physically fenced yard with fencing 4 feet or taller. What kind of home would be best for me?  Bingo is still learning to trust humans and build his confidence. Having spent most of his life in a breeding environment, he has had very little human interaction and no experience with the love and care we all hope for in a pet. Everything is new to him, and he is still learning to trust his caregivers. Bingo needs an adopter who can provide the patience, time, and love that he’s never known. He has never experienced the caring touch of a kind human, so he will need a special person who can offer him a safe and loving environment. Bingo requires someone with an endless well of patience and understanding, someone who is committed to helping him grow into the confident, loving companion he’s meant to be. While we are doing our best to provide him with love and attention here, Bingo needs an adopter who can be home most, if not all, of the time to give him the care and training he deserves. Bingo requires another large, confident dog in the home. Bingo has never lived without the companionship of other dogs, and needs a confident leader that he can follow and learn from. Bingo does not like to be rushed - slow and steady is going to win the race with this boy. Bingo is not suited for a home with children; he is still learning that humans are okay and needs calm and consistent. Like a delicate flower, Bingo will need time to bloom and thrive in his new home. If you have the time, patience, and most of all, the love to nurture him, your efforts will be richly rewarded with a loyal, loving dog who will become your devoted companion. What is my personality like? Bingo was surrendered into rescue via his breeder. He's had very little life experience in his first 4 years, outside of breeding and living with other dogs. Everything about being a pet is new. Everything. You will teach him all that he knows. Bingo will also need help learning the basics, such as walking on a leash and commands like sit, down, stay, and come. Bingo is shy and timid but is making great strides in developing his confidence. He’s still learning how to interact with people and other dogs, but when he feels comfortable, he enjoys playing with dogs he likes. How do I act when I first meet new people? Bingo is naturally shy and may not approach you right away. When meeting new people, it’s important to give him time and space to adjust to the situation. After a few minutes, he will typically allow you to pet him. Bingo needs to move at his own pace and build trust in his own time. Other tips and tidbits: Bingo's' birthday is 3/19/2021 House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained.  A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule. Please note - we do not ship dogs.  If you are interested in adopting, please take a look at the distance between the foster home location and your location and make sure you are willing to make that trip.  Most of our dogs are at our farm in Pacolet, South Carolina.   To apply, please visit our webpage at www.carolinapoodlerescue.org and visit the tab on the left that directions you to the online application. Please note that when screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home.   You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, color, age, etc.  Others here may be a better fit for you.  It is very difficult to get to know a living animal from a picture and a short description.  Since we are constantly getting in new dogs, this may be a  dog not in our listings yet.  We want you to be very happy with your new companion and will make suggestions based on what you tell us about you. Thank you for considering CPR. December 13, 2024, 10:19 am

JD is neutered, up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative. JD arrived in rescue in pitiful physical condition. After 2 months, he has gained weight, built muscle strength, regrown hair, and is a happy boy. Our best guess is that JD is a standard poodle, However, he was found as a stray so we have no way to confirm this. Given this, we cannot guarantee that he is hypoallergenic. Weight: 35 lbs Height: 24 in Spayed/Neutered: Yes Adoption Fee: $599 Fence needed? Yes, JD requires a physically fenced yard with fencing 4 feet or taller. What kind of home would be best for me? JD is an active, happy boy who loves to play. He would thrive in a home with an adopter who enjoys an active lifestyle—whether you’re a single person, a couple, or a family. While JD enjoys company, he can be a bit unsure around boisterous young children, so he’d likely do best with kids aged eight and older, or calmer, dog-savvy children. JD is the ideal companion for someone who enjoys outdoor adventures. Whether it’s playing in the backyard, going for a jog, or hiking in the mountains, JD will be there, ready to keep up. He’s full of energy and loves to be included in family activities. JD requires a home with a canine companion, as having another dog around will help him learn how to be the best pet he can be. His foster describes JD as a playful goofball who brings pure joy to everyone around him. He loves playing hide-and-seek behind trees and shrubs, and he’s the master of zoomies—extremely fast and full of energy! JD also LOVES toys, especially squeaky ones. Throw one out in the yard and enjoy watching him chase and pounce. JD is a funny, affectionate dog who loves to play and is very social with other dogs. He’s also non-reactive with cats, which makes him a good fit for a multi-pet household. What is my personality like? JD is a Hurrican Helene survivor who is now looking for his forever home after being rescued from a harrowing situation. He was abandoned in a crate that had filled with water, but thanks to the kindness of Good Samaritans, he was saved. Unfortunately, we have no information about JD's life before his rescue, but we do know he's ready to move forward with a fresh start. JD had a few medical issues when he was rescued, but he’s well on his way to full recovery. His left ear is being treated with EKT, and he’s on his final round of treatment, so he’ll be ready to go once adopted. JD’s teeth aren’t in perfect condition, but his foster is working on improving his oral hygiene, and he’s making great progress. All in all, JD is on track to a clean bill of health. JD is a smart dog and is quick to pick up new things. While he doesn’t pull on the leash when walking, his adopter will need to continue working on leash training and basic commands like sit, stay, down, and come. His foster describes him as “wicked smart,” so he’ll likely pick up new skills quickly with the right training and guidance. JD is crate-trained and loves his crate. He happily sleeps inside at night, even when the door is left open. He’s clean in his crate and can go for long stretches without an accident. His adopter will need to continue enforcing a consistent potty schedule to help maintain his excellent potty habits. If you’re looking for an active, affectionate dog who will be your constant companion, JD is the perfect match. He’s looking for someone who can keep up with his energy and adventures, but who also has the patience to help him continue learning and growing.  How do I act when I first meet new people? When meeting new people, JD is a bit shy at first, both with humans and other dogs. However, once he feels safe, he warms up quickly and will roll over on his back with a big grin, clearly saying, “Belly rubs, please!” Other tips and tidbits: We estimate JD was born on or around 10/8/2020. House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule if a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained.  A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.
