If you are interested in adopting this dog, please fill out an Adoption Questionnaire athttps://petstablished.com/adoption_form/43315/generic.You can learn about the adoption process by visiting: http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/howtoadopt/.Dog's Name:  Fozzie Howie  (FOZ0326ALAMD) Estimated Breed:  Standard Poodle Mix Approximate Age:  2-3 yearsApproximate Weight:  50 lbsCurrently Living at:  BoardingAdoption Fee:  $400DOG'S DESCRIPTION:  Meet Fozzie Howie, a friendly Poodle mix all the way from Alabama who is officially ready to leave his “before” photos in the past and start the next chapter of his life—preferably on a comfy couch in a loving home. He’s a friendly fellow who enjoys being with his people. He is cautious around new dogs, so he would need a slow introduction if there are other dogs in the home      When Fozzie Howie was rescued, he was in pretty rough shape and desperately needed a good grooming (be sure to check out his video). Luckily, he has since enjoyed a much-deserved spa day, and underneath all that fur was one very handsome—and very happy—fella. Now that he’s cleaned up and feeling like his fabulous self again, Fozzie Howie is ready to focus on what really matters:  finding a forever home and family who will love him, keep him looking sharp, and give him the safe, happy life he deserves. Could that home be yours?     Apply today—Fozzie Howie is ready to meet you and start his happily-ever-after. Your pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.    Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSPONSOR ME! Help Save Lives!    Make a tax-deductible donation today and help save a life. Story
Cashman is a handsome, quiet Standard Poodle that has gone through some life upheavals that he needs to put in his rearview mirror very soon. There has been no neglect, just anxiety from his humans that was passed along to him.  We are looking for a place in life that will not leave him for long hours in the house alone.  There are so many good situations that he would thrive in.  Kids would be perfect if they are in the home.  He is good with other dogs, cats, meeting new people is totally easy for him and he loves to load up easily in a car and go for rides.  He is housebroken, crate trained and so very loving and easy to live with.  He is 3 years old and weighs 56 pounds and could easily put on another 5-10 pounds of good muscle weight.  We have published a BEFORE picture of him when he came to Critter Cavalry Rescue.  We quickly  had him groomed and now he features a handsome Summer cut.  He was a dream at the groomer and she took the AFTER pictures of him in her beautiful garden.  This boy is not a train wreck l like so many rehomes.  He is a sweet dog that needs a stable family that provides him with no reasons to be anxious and alone for long periods of time.  Dogs are such a reflection of their environments and we are looking for a Norman Rockwell family if that still exists!   :-)  Please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com if you are interested.  He is in excellent health and a most sensitive heart with so much love to give.  PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMay 18, 2026, 5:20 pm

Jade Doodle Female Silver/Beige 3 Years old 52lbs Meet Jade: Jade is a female sweetheart of a doodle who is full of love, energy, and personality. She absolutely loves being around her people and is always eager to please. While she may be a little shy or nervous when first meeting someone new, she warms up quickly and happily soaks up all the affection and attention she can get. Jade is house-trained, walks nicely on a leash, and knows commands like “sit” and “down.” She loves playing with toys, especially fetch, and enjoys exploring outside on walks or relaxing in the backyard. She is not crate trained. Jade would thrive in a home where her people are around most or all of the day, as she forms strong bonds very quickly and can become anxious when left alone. She will likely do best as the only dog in the home. She has not been exposed to cats in her foster home, and she does have a strong prey drive when it comes to backyard critters like squirrels. Overall, Jade is a loving, loyal companion who is looking for a calm, caring home where she can be close to her people and shower them with affection. Please Note: **No children under 10!** If you are interested in adopting JADE, please visit our website at www.somersetcottagepoodlerescue.org to learn about our adoption process and download the adoption application JADE's adoption donation is $1100

Story
Meet Zeke! Zeke came to the Haven from a home where he was a beloved family member. Unfortunately his family could no longer care for him, so he's in the market for a new one. The benefit of adopting a dog like Zeke is that he knows how to behave properly in a home and exactly how much he is entitled to be worshipped. Zeke is housetrained, rides well in the car, and sleeps through the night. He enjoys gentle walks around the neighborhood (10-20min/2-3x a day) and will try to chase squirrels and bark at birds, but walks very nicely on a leash. He has also started trotting like a little pony on walks when he's in a good mood! When he is left alone for a few hours, he usually just settles down for a nap. He should wear a belly band when he's alone, however, as he may want to stage a small protest to your absence. He LOVES cuddles and massages and gets "happy hops" and grunts like a piglet when he wants attention and cuddles but otherwise will settle in the same room as you. (He knows "go lay down"). He likes his licky-mat and treats, which he takes very gently. He has discovered he likes toys! He will do a very light version of "fetch" where you throw his favorite toy about 4ft away and he grabs and shakes it while bringing it back. He absolutely loves any type of affection and touch, massages and cuddles. He enjoys having lots of soft dog beds to choose from at naptime. Zeke has lived successfully with cats and other calm dogs, but he does sometimes engage in resource guarding. So, if he has other animal friends, they need to respect his space. He has done well with older children (we haven't had a chance to observe him around littles). He likes a calm environment and lots of naps, so it might be best to stick to older kids. He does not like being left in a room alone when you're home. When you're home he needs to be where you are or he will bark. (He's currently serving as a furry paralegal and makes a great office dog!) Zeke arrived with some masses, which are being addressed, and a cough from a mild case of collapsing trachea, which is helped by medicine. He has more limited vision at night and may have reduced hearing. He can still see well enough to go up and down the stairs. If you would like a polite, cuddly, well-behaved shadow, come meet Zeke. Zeke is approximately 13 years old and 21 lbs. Fostered in Stony Beach, MD Please apply at MirisHaven.org
