Story
Meet Ranger, the spirited Rottweiler with a heart of gold and a unique story to tell. Despite being hearing impaired, Ranger's playful spirit and affectionate nature make him an extraordinary companion for those who appreciate his special qualities. Ranger's love for play knows no bounds. Whether it's chasing after his favorite toy or frolicking in the yard, Ranger's enthusiasm is contagious. His boundless energy and playful antics are sure to bring joy to a forever home. Despite his hearing impairment, Ranger has an uncanny ability to connect with people. He thrives on human interaction and enjoys nothing more than spending time with those he trusts. Thanks to a dedicated volunteer, Ranger has learned some basic commands such as sit and shake. However, he still requires some training to help him become the best companion he can be. With patient guidance and positive reinforcement, Ranger is eager to learn and improve his manners. In order to ensure the best match for Ranger and his potential adopters, a scheduled meet and greet is required before adoption. This allows both Ranger and potential adopters to get to know each other and determine if they're the perfect fit. Interested individuals must also apply before meeting Ranger. It's important to note that Ranger may sometimes display possessive behavior over his toys or food. With patient guidance and positive reinforcement training, Ranger's tendencies can be addressed and managed effectively, ensuring a harmonious relationship with his family. Ranger's spirited demeanor and loving nature make him an ideal companion for families who understand and appreciate his unique needs. However, due to his spirited nature, Ranger would do best in a home with no kids, where he can receive the attention and support he deserves. Don't miss out on the opportunity to welcome Ranger into your life. Reach out today to schedule a meet and greet and apply to make him a cherished member of your family, and experience the unconditional love and joy he has to offer.

Story
Happy Tala Tuesday!!   This beautiful miss is: 1. undoubtedly GORGEOUS 2. looking to land the perfect forever home she’s so patiently been waiting for! Tala (female) is a unique breed mix, so will need a unique family to ensure her needs are fully met! Her Embark DNA test revealed that she is: 50% Doberman Pinscher, 47% Belgian Malinois, and 3% German Shepherd. This means that she is a BUSY little bee! She will need an ACTIVE home that is familiar with her breeds, and who will see to it that she remains both physically and mentally stimulated! Tala weighs 50lbs; she was born on 3/17/23, so is just under 11 months old. And although Tala will be a year old next month…she is still just an adolescent pup in an adult’s body! She has come such a long way in her foster home, but will need a person/family who is dedicated to diligently working with her/continuing her training…because she deserves to be the very BEST version of herself! Tala needs:  a job/things to keep her brain busy (dog sports, nose work, barn hunts, etc.) EXERCISE! a strong leader/pack who understands the working-breed mentality  a home with older children (she hasn’t been exposed to young kiddos/toddlers) OR a home with no kids at all would be ideal!  limited time in her crate and/or a family who will take her to doggie daycare (where she does great!) if they are away from home for more than a few hours Tala is:  100% potty-trained! Kennel-trained and crates up nicely for mealtime/treats…but gets anxiety if kenneled long, so is a great candidate for daycare! So, so, SOOO SWEET!!! Tala LOVES her humans and really attaches to her person! Super playful! Great with dogs her size or larger. She does require a home *without* small dogs/other small animals.  Incredibly cuddly, and will take FULL advantage of any snuggle-time she can get with her humans! Silly , curious, trainable via treats (which she takes so gently!), and toy-motivated.  Insanely SMART [which is true to her breeds]! Tala is more than ready to settle in with a family all her own! She is a sweetheart through and through…and will make the SWEETEST addition to the home who recognizes her potential and appreciates her for all that she is! Please share her adorable face far & wide so we can make Tala’s adoption a reality! APPLY HERE: https://newleashdogrescue.com (or private message us if you’re already preapproved!)  **Tala’s $250 adoption fee includes her spay, vaccinations, heartworm test, and microchip. ##1852520##

Story
Sweet Cora is an alumni of NLOL from many years ago when she was young—but now she is about 7 years old and has lost her vision. She was not doing well with the younger kids in her home and they felt a calmer home would be better for her. Other than being blind, we are not aware of any health issues. She is about 40 lbs and of course it is hard for her to learn her new surroundings, so a family who will help her navigate her new environment with patience is necessary. A fenced yard is also required. She would love a calm home and can do well with calmer, smaller dogs, but since she cannot see other dogs, that can sometimes be scary for her. She is about 40 lbs. She loves to snuggle and is completely housebroke in her foster home. Her vaccines were all updated and she had an updated heartworm test, and she is good to go. Her adoption fee is partially sponsored at $100. If you are interested and don't have an application on file, please go to our website and fill out an application. www.newleashdogrescue.com. If you have an application on file, please PM us. ##2231956##
