Story
I’m Mira! I am a sweet younger girl who LOVES kids and babies! I get along well with other dogs and cats, I can just can be a bit extra playful with cats. I am potty trained and my foster family has even trusted me out of my crate at night and I don’t get into anything I’m not supposed to. I’m very well mannered but still like to play!

Story
Cooper's trial did not work out. He definitely needs a dog savvy owner with leadership skills. Cooper has been in a foster-training program so we could get to know Cooper best and what type of a home is needed. Fosters notes: We use a halti collar and he is a perfect gentleman. He is very loyal and loves to be pet, especially a good scratch. He is excited to greet guests and is very loving, but we are working on not jumping. He is awesome at fetch and sitting pretty. He is definitely partial to women, but that doesn’t mean he does not like men. He does not do well with soft toys and becomes possessive with them so he should not be given the option. We have been working on this very hard and he has improved! If he has the right owner that will establish all the rules right from the beginning he will do great. He was a huge counter surfer, since his head is counter high, but he has completely stopped and knows it is not tolerated. He really can learn anything you teach him. He’s a good loyal dog that needs a strong handler to keep him in check. Looking for a BIG loyal Bear? Meet Cooper!! Cooper is a 3 year old Rottweiler/Doodle mix weighing 98 lbs. Cooper is housebroken, crate-trained, and knows all his commands including sit, stay, down, come, shake and sit pretty! He is a very smart dog. Cooper walks great on lead and loves to ride in the car. Cooper's favorite thing is a game of fetch. Cooper is dog friendly but really wants to be a loyal companion dog. He is cat friendly too. Cooper is neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped. Cooper is a Doodle mix and will require grooming and he is not a fan of the clippers around his face and feet, so requires an experienced groomer and some meds to relax him prior to grooming. He is good for a bath and everything else just face and feet seem to upset him ;-(. Due to his large size an adult home is best. Helpful if you have large breed experience, he is a BIG boy! If you are interested in Cooper, please submit an online application so we can learn a little about you to make sure Cooper would be a good match for you and your family. We do not do out of state adoptions, due to our trial adoption process. Adoption fee/donation is $150.00 If you have specific questions, please email the adoption coordinator at info@loveastraydog.com If you can't foster or adopt, please consider donating to help us with medical expenses and ongoing care. You can mail your donation to: Love-A-Stray, P.O. Box 125, Attn: Cooper, Avon Lake, OH 44012 or visit www.loveastraydog.com for credit card/PayPal information, adoption application, available dogs and upcoming events. Thank you!

Story
Meet Remington, a sweet Rottweiler who is eager to find a loving home after overcoming difficult circumstances. This special boy has so much love to give to someone who can give him the care and attention he deserves. Remington is a healthy young dog, estimated to be around 3 years old. Despite his rough start in life, he is a resilient pup who has overcome several health challenges. He is now neutered, treated for heartworm and Lyme disease. While Remington may be big and clumsy at times due to his size, he has shown no signs of aggression towards people or toys. With his friendly and playful personality, he is sure to bring lots of joy to his future forever home. It is important that Remington's new home has a fenced-in yard to allow him to safely explore and play. Remington LOVES kids, but due to his size and energy level a home with older kids is recommended. He would never intentionally injury a child, but when he gets the zoomies he forgets that he is a big boy. After completing a board and train, Remington has become dog friendly to most other dogs. He would require a meet and greet prior with any new fur-siblings to make sure they are a fit. He is a gentle soul who just wants a second chance at a happy life. Open your heart and home to this special boy, and you will be rewarded with unconditional love and loyalty. Let's make Remington's dreams!

Story
Babygirl is a beautiful young dog who is in need of a loving home. She is a friendly girl who loves to give kisses and can't wait to snuggle up with you on the couch. She's a clever dog and is always eager to please. Babygirl loves going on walks and playing with her favorite toy, an empty dog bowl. She is good with most other dogs, especially if they tend to be more submissive. She would do best in a home that does not have another extremely dominant dog there already. She is friendly with people and is a great companion, if you give her the time to warm up to you. She would likely thrive in a home that is female only, or that has a female that she can bond with first if the male in the house is willing to be patient and take things slow with her. If you're looking for a sweet and loving companion, Babygirl is the perfect fit for you!
