Dixie’s sweet face and perfect demeanor make her impossible not to love. In the play yard, she enjoys chasing after toys and even entertains herself with some independent fun.This affectionate girl adores being with people and melts into every pet and snuggle session. Prince finds himself euth listed, due to a bite history. A bite that was absolutely caused by human error! He is great with other dogs, and was a super sweetheart when she had him out in the play yard. He came from an awful hoarding situation with 28 dogs, most of whom have been adopted out already. He knows basic commands, is about 4 years old, 95 lbs., and would make a perfect new family member with a strong adopter & a quiet home. We can only take him if we can find a foster. Once we find a committed, approved foster, he will be going to our trainer for an assessment. As always, all food, vetting, toys, treats, etc… is covered by our rescue, while under foster. Preference given to foster to adopt.

Story
Penny was gifted to our daughter and her boyfriend. They; however, were not looking to bring a dog into their home. Since we had been discussing getting a dog, we offered to take her in for them. Penny is super loving, and a little too loving at times. She doesn’t understand her size and can be overwhelming, but truly means no harm. Penny has gone through formal “boot camp” training for three weeks and knows basic commands pretty well. Although she is excited to see you, those kind get tossed to the side! She loves to play ball and will fetch until she gets too tired, then it’s up to you to get the ball. Although we don’t have other animals around her, when she was at training she interested with other dogs. Penny has not shown any aggressive behavior towards animals or people, even when taking a toy from her. She will watch out the kitchen window and if she sees an unknown person in our yard, she will bark at them. I am truly grateful for that behavior! Penny is crate trained and barks when she needs to go outside to potty, She loves to jump on you and we continue to work with her on this. This is the only thing that prevents us from wanting to keep Penny. My mother is battling pancreatic cancer and currently lives with us. They love each other but we can’t risk Penny jumping up on her at this point. Penny can only go to a home that will have a yard for her to run and play in, and humans that will truly love her sweet personality! Adoption app: https://halok9behavior.com/ ##2253196##
