All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. Penny was gifted to our daughter and her boyfriend. They; however, were not looking to bring a dog into their home. Since we had been discussing getting a dog, we offered to take her in for them. Penny is super loving, and a little too loving at times. She doesn’t understand her size and can be overwhelming, but truly means no harm. Penny has gone through formal “boot camp” training for three weeks and knows basic commands pretty well. Although she is excited to see you, those kind get tossed to the side! She loves to play ball and will fetch until she gets too tired, then it’s up to you to get the ball. Although we don’t have other animals around her, when she was at training she interested with other dogs. Penny has not shown any aggressive behavior towards animals or people, even when taking a toy from her. She will watch out the kitchen window and if she sees an unknown person in our yard, she will bark at them. I am truly grateful for that behavior! Penny is crate trained and barks when she needs to go outside to potty, She loves to jump on you and we continue to work with her on this. This is the only thing that prevents us from wanting to keep Penny. My mother is battling pancreatic cancer and currently lives with us. They love each other but we can’t risk Penny jumping up on her at this point. Just like the classic debate- Left Twix versus Right Twix... both sides together ARE THE BEST!!! I am the same way, I am sweet on one side and salty on the other- together we are perfect! I have a tale to tell, however, none of it matters anymore because I am here right now to tell you- the best is yet to come! I am a big love bug, and although I can be nervous at first- I settle in quickly to be just a big couch potato! I am good with other dogs and would love to have a friend for life in my forever home. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Prince. This handsome boy was shot and left for dead in a dumpster. Somehow this brave boy managed to crawl out. When he was found he had curled up on a couch, gave up, waiting for death. A volunteer was contacted and we rushed him to the vet. He was shot in the eye, the bullet grazed his brain and lodged in his chest. He came in with a severe infection in both the eye. After a week in the ICU, a plasma transfusion and eye removal he is ready for a new home. Prince is great on a leash, absolutely loves people and is very friendly. Playing in the water is a favorite hobby of his. However he is cat reactive and needs to be in a cat-free home. He constantly wants to be with his people. He will need a privacy or 6 foot fence where he can run safely. Prince was born around 11/2021 and he weighs 50 pounds. HIs adoption fee is $300. You can apply for Prince at www.adoggie4you.org. This dog is currently in Texas; however, it can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington KY or all along the East Coast. If transported, there is an additional transport fee of $225 . Well, HOWDY!!! I still can't believe i am IN TEXAS!! My story may be a little convoluted but suffice it to say... the OK Corral has nothing on me! I was not fighting the outlaws.. i was not fighting at all! I was just trying to figure out why I was saved and in a wonderful rescuers home.... then... back into a high kill shelter?? UNTIL, I was saved by ANOTHER rescuer and was transported from Louisiana to TEXAS and here I am! I LOVE everyone, I want a home that will walk me a couple of times a day and then chill out with me on their couch :) I don't have a whole bunch of energy but that is PERFECT for a lower energy home. I came to the rescue with heart worms but am going to complete my treatment by Christmas!! What a gift that will be! I am now looking for my family, someone who will love me for who I am.. a little low rider, kinda chunky but as loving as the day is long! ADOPT ME!!! Meet Lillith, Lilly for short. Lilly was on the euthanasia list at the Preble County Warden's office. We were able to "pull" this sweet girl and get her into foster care where she has gone from skin and bones to a joyful, thriving, beautiful girl. Lilly's DOB is 12/11/19. She is crate and potty-trained. Lilly likes to watch birds and squirrels. She will chase them a bit. She loves to look for treats in the yard and she loves belly rubs. Lilly has gotten used to being wiped down with a wet towel. She's not a fan of getting her teeth brushed or cutting her toenails but she'll let you do it. She's always down for a walk. Lilly loves to cuddle with her humans but is a bit picky with her dog friends. She does ok with male dogs but definitely not females. It might be better if she doesn't have to share all the snuggles with any dogs. If you would like to give Lilly her happily ever after please fill out an application.

I am rehoming Sadie for a friend of mine who just wasn’t able to keep up with her needs. She has been kept up in a bedroom for majority of her life and was severely malnourished when I discovered her. She longs for company and to be able to freely run outside, so a fenced in backyard is preferred. She is the sweetest dog ever and will try her hardest to not let you down. She just wants affection. She has the best “SIT” I’ve ever seen and I wish I could take her myself but I already have 2 dogs and am relocating soon. Because Sadie was underfed for so long, her stomach is sensitive and has to go quite often. But she will always let you know she has to go, and is very sad and ashamed when she can’t hold it. Which isn’t her fault, but she has been treated as so. I’m not sure if her exact age and breed, but am sure she is a loving and sweet girl with a hysterical personality that deserves lots of space and attention
