Story
Rottie is now taking applications. Rottie was left behind in a Columbus neighborhood when the person caring for him moved. He wandered the neighborhood for weeks before we took him in. Rottie is a goofy fun loving dog that loves attention. He is playful and is still learning good doggy manners. He would love an experienced Rottweiler owner to help with his training. He prefers a low key life style so a quiet home would be preferred. Rottie needs to be an only dog.Apply at ricopetrecovery.org to learn more about him.Adoption fee is $250

Story
King is a 125 lb. purebred Rottweiler from the renowned Earl Antonius Bloodline. He has all of his breeder paperwork, medical history, and has been well taken care of his entire life. He will take treats right from your hand, is completely house broken, loves taking walks and chewing rawhide bones. We never thought we would have to find King a new home but our family unexpectantly changed in a big way. We were blessed with premature twins born at 27 weeks. One of our twins has cerebral palsy and she is currently enrolled in many different therapies. We spend several months out of the year out of state for intensive therapy and King has to be boarded while we travel. Also we have in home therapy 3 days per week and we have to keep King gated off for several hours out of the day. Given our situation, we cant give King the love and attention he deserves. King was purchased as a puppy from reputable breeder. He is like a show dog with his size and look.

Story
This is Stanley. Stanley came to us in June, abandoned after his owner was evicted. Stanley is rarely asked about and we are eager to find him a loving home. He is the “eyes and ears” of the pound and a bit of a nark! If he can instigate and get someone in trouble, he will do it! Stanley can also jump a chain link fence and should not be left outside by himself. He has been dog selective while at the pound and as always, any kids or dogs in the home will need to come in for a meet and greet. Stanley is a curious, friendly guy and is getting impatient waiting for someone to choose him!

Story
Vada is a very special dog who quickly won over the hearts of our entire shelter staff. She comes from a rough background and is looking for a fresh start. She is terrified of men; we believe there was some abuse present in her past. She has her guard up, but with time and patience she opens up quickly. Vada LOVES cats and would do best with older kids/teens. She does not like dogs very much. She is really looking for a family willing to rescue her and continue to work on her trust building abilities. She knows her basic commands and seems to be house broken. She's eager to please once she breaks down her emotional barriers. She's going to be an awesome dog for someone, she just needs to be given the chance.Age: 5Housebroken: YesActivity Level: MediumKids: Older kids/teensDogs: Doesn’t seem to like dogsCats: Loves cats!Training Needs: Fairly high, terrified of strangers, especially menLeash Trained: YesMore information?
