Story
Lucy is a great dog. She is playful(sometimes rough) like walks and toy. She loves to chew. She get along with other dogs and cats but doesn’t know her size. So she does play rough. She has never bit anyone or another animal. I just have very little time to spend with her. I work all kinds of hours at my job. I am in recovery so I spend a lot of time at meeting and events to help me stay sober. I feel absolutely terrible doing this but Lucy doesn’t deserve to be alone 18 hours a day. When I got her as a puppy in Sept of 2024 this was not the life I had in mind for her. The adoption fee can be adjusted possibly.

Coffee is a beautiful rottweiler who was at risk of getting shot after being dumped on a rural property. She was heartworm positive but has been treated for it. She has stubby tail. She has been good with male and female dogs medium to large but has not been around small dogs or cats. She is very very friendly with people. She walks well on the leash. She is currently still in Oklahoma where she was rescued but she can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. She has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport at one of our transport drop off locations below. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, we will either find a local foster to take her in or she will go back to Oklahoma on our next transport until a new home is found. This is Miss Fig, the ultimate lover girl.Fig has a stunning black coat with warm caramel markings and that perfect white blaze down her nose. Although she’s total head-turner, she is more than just looks. Fig is affectionate, well-mannered, and such a sweetheart. She recently went on an overnight home trial and was described as pure perfection. She behaved like an angel and seems to have a fantastic grasp of house training. Unfortunately, the potential family had an unknown dog allergy and Fig had to be returned due to no fault of her own. She is a dream on leash, enjoys lounging on a tie out, and loves frolicking around a fenced yard. Fig came to FDHS with another dog, so she has the potential to make furry friends, though she can be a bit reactive with some of the more intense dogs. She passed her cat test with flying colors and would likely do great in a home with cats. As always, slow introductions with other animals in the home is absolutely essential for success. Fig is a devoted, loving girl who just wants to be the best girl she can be. We know whoever ends up with this sweet thing is going to be incredibly lucky! **Spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative, and up-to-date on vaccines & monthly prevention. Weighs about 55 lbs**

We welcomed him to our facility in May 2025, hoping a fresh start would help him find his forever home. Now, at 1 1/2 years old, he's still waiting, and we can't understand why.Despite his past, Toledo is an absolute sweetheart. He loves cuddles and is a total goofball, adoring our staff and volunteers, but it's not the same as having a family. He is a gem on a leash. He loves car rides and pup cups. He loves to play with toys, but hasn't mastered fetch. He truly just wants to be with people. He seems to get along with other calm and kind dogs, as always, slow introductions are best.
