Meet Esther Price! This petite 50 ish lb girl looks like a small Rottweiler / mutt mix! She is sweet, snuggly and loves every person. She is great with dogs & cats & is good on a leash! Looking for an easy companion??? Apply to adopt Esther Price ( “Essie”) today! She’s just as sweet as her name! All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application. We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information. Penny was gifted to our daughter and her boyfriend. They; however, were not looking to bring a dog into their home. Since we had been discussing getting a dog, we offered to take her in for them. Penny is super loving, and a little too loving at times. She doesn’t understand her size and can be overwhelming, but truly means no harm. Penny has gone through formal “boot camp” training for three weeks and knows basic commands pretty well. Although she is excited to see you, those kind get tossed to the side! She loves to play ball and will fetch until she gets too tired, then it’s up to you to get the ball. Although we don’t have other animals around her, when she was at training she interested with other dogs. Penny has not shown any aggressive behavior towards animals or people, even when taking a toy from her. She will watch out the kitchen window and if she sees an unknown person in our yard, she will bark at them. I am truly grateful for that behavior! Penny is crate trained and barks when she needs to go outside to potty, She loves to jump on you and we continue to work with her on this. This is the only thing that prevents us from wanting to keep Penny. My mother is battling pancreatic cancer and currently lives with us. They love each other but we can’t risk Penny jumping up on her at this point. Hi, my name is Montgomery but my friends call me Monty! I'm a pretty handsome fella. I'm quite the mix of breeds but they all equal AMAZING! Take a look at my pics to see my DNA test. I'm good with kids and other dogs. I'm super energetic and love to play fetch. I had a rough start to life and have some medical issues - nothing major! The nice people at MVPC and MedVet have taken great care of me. I had an FHO in hopes of bettering my quality of life. I had what their vet is describing as birth deformity’s in both his back leg/hip, and front leg, and while I do walk and run a little funny, the Vet has assured us all that my quality of life is good and with the right owner I should be able to live comfortably for a long time. I also have arthritis in his front leg and may require anti inflammatories to be comfortable for the long term. BUT, I have been cleared for adoption and is “as good as it gets” moving forward. Even though I may move a little funny it doesn't slow me down one bit! I'm ready to find my forever family to love and live my best life!
