Meet Josie- a gentle soul ready for her forever home. After surviving a tough past—living outdoors with 13 dogs and losing her home to a fire—she’s now healthy, happy, and craving stability. Josie is a 9-year-old Rottweiler mix who weighs 70 lbs and ready for a calm, loving retirement home. Josie is loyal and affectionate, especially with women—she’s attached to her foster mom like Velcro! She prefers a quiet home without small pets or young kids. With proper introductions, she does well with medium to large dogs. The ideal home would be a low-key, non-active household where Josie can relax and feel safe. She enjoys short, slow walks and peaceful days. After months in foster care, she’s even starting to play with toys! Josie has excellent house manners and never jumps on people. She was heartworm positive when we rescued her, but at her age, the traditional treatment would be too tough on her as they are painful and distressing for the poor dog. SOS has chosen to do the slow kill method with her and we will provide a LIFETIME of medication for her. This might scare some people off but this sweet girl has been through so much and she’s ready for a peaceful, loving home. If you’re looking for a gentle companion who will stick by your side like Velcro, Josie is your girl! She is spayed, housebroken and crate trained. Her adoption fee is $50 fully vetted, and we will provide a lifetime of heartworm medication for her to continue to keep the disease at bay. Save Ohio Strays does not have a shelter. Our dogs are integrated into their foster homes who can tell you all about them to make the transition into your home informative and supportive. We were finally able to pull Prince from the shelter, thanks to our wonderful fosters!! Prince is a loveable, playful, charming guy who is good with other pups and is fantastic with cats! He is up to date on shots and will be chipped prior to adoption. He was euth listed at a local shelter after a minor bite incident in which he clearly expressed discomfort and his warning signals were ignored. He was a staff/volunteer favorite, while at the shelter. Prince prefers a quiet, adult only household.

Meet Lydia!This 7-year-old boxer mix is the perfect blend of wiggles, smiles, and sweetness! Lydia has all the classic boxer charm — she’s friendly, affectionate, and full of happy energy. Lydia loves people of all ages and is always ready to make new friends. Whether she’s at the vet or out at an event, she’s a social butterfly who wins hearts everywhere she goes. She’ll sit patiently for pets and might let out a soft little whimper if she thinks she’s being ignored — she just loves attention that much! Lydia gets along well with the male dogs she’s met and the puppies in her foster home. She can be selective with female dogs, and her reaction to cats is unknown. She’s both crate trained and housebroken, making her an easy addition to your home routine. Before joining Rescue330, Lydia was living outside in West Virginia. Thanks to some kind rescuers, she’s now safe, loved, and ready for her forever home. She’s received excellent veterinary care, including being spayed and having some masses removed. Her most recent surgery revealed that two were benign and one was a low-grade mast cell tumor with clean margins — wonderful news! Lydia is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and current on heartworm and flea prevention. Her adoption fee is $200.
