Story
Calling all Rottie lovers...Trixie is here waiting to steal your heart and your wallet. You see, Trixie knows what she wants and here is her list: A cute leash because she loves her walks. Her own bed because she is kind of over sleeping in a crate. Her very own food bowl...she is a bit possessive of her food and wants everyone to know what bowl is hers. A comfy blanket to snuggle on the sofa with her new favorite person. People to love her...but even Trixie knows you can't buy love...but you also can't say no to those puppy eyes.

Story
I got Ruger from the humane society 10/18/24. They said he was microchipped and a stray and 8. But he seems 5 or 6. He knows how to sit lay down shake go away go to bed and stay. He's getting better using a lead leash and is pulling less but he still pulls. He is 85 pounds and strong. He is a great guard dog! Unfortunately he has tried to bite a few friends who he does not know when they are petting him. I would not have him around kids. He got used to my little dog who is 11 lb. He's a very good dog he's just a little bit too much for me and I don't want him biting anyone. He hasn't tried to bite me in about 5 weeks. But even when I would pet him too long or pet him if he was laying down sleeping He would growl at me and let me know he does not want to be pet. But now he is very affectionate and loves kisses and hugs from me. I am able to get on the floor with him and play with him. I'm working with a trainer to get him to not but people that are petting him for more than 2 minutes.

He likes to play ball, cuddle, play with all kinds of toys, receive treats, jump into water, and spend time with people. McRib is such a happy guy overall and he`s going to be an excellent companion for whoever is lucky enough to adopt him! He is respectful of our shelter kitty and does not mind seeing or being around other dogs in outdoor, neutral spaces. He does like his own space and has shown resource guarding of possessions and people in a home setting which is why it is recommended he be the only dog in the household. Story
Zora is a spunky young female boxer. She came into rescue from a local shelter, and before that she lived her entire life in a fenced yard with her littermate.Zora is very playful and exuberant, and loves all kinds of toys. But the thing she loves most is being petted and snuggling with her dog brothers and foster humans. She is completely housetrained, rides perfectly in the car, and walks well on leash with no pulling (see below for exceptions). Zora is working on her house manners and crate training but is extremely bright and learns quickly.Because she wasn't exposed to other dogs and new people, she is reactive to both. However, she can be redirected using treats and responds well to praise. Zora would do best with a well-adjusted/socialized male dog. She loves rough housing with the foster family's 80lb American Bully mix, and is fine with their older male Pug (Zora is somewhat more interested in playing with him than he is in playing with her [🙂] ).The foster family doesn't have any cats or smaller pets, but Zora has shown some prey drive when on hikes. This indicated that she may not be ok with smaller pets, birds, or cats. Dog-savvy, respectful children should not be an issue.Boxer experience (specifically female/puppy) highly recommended. Well-adjusted/socialized male dog of similar size required. Zora will require obedience/behavior training to address her reactivity as specified in the adoption contract. If you are interested in meeting or adopting Zora, please fill out an adoption application! We require professional obedience training from a certified trainer for ALL adoptions.
