This condition means she can’t open her mouth all the way, so she’s on a special home-cooked diet rich in meat and eggs to keep her strength up and takes a daily pill to manage her condition. Coco adores her walks and can be a bit of a puller on the leash if she spots another dog, but she’s always great with people. She’s super athletic and enjoys her time outdoors. Although she can’t play with toys or chew on treats due to her condition, she loves liquid treats and is happy and content in the car. A total sweetheart with a loving demeanor, Coco is also fine being left alone for periods. A litter of seven young puppies were being sold by an unhoused person on the streets of San Antonio when an angel stepped up to purchase all of The Seven and ensure they were adopted out through a reputable rescue who would also ensure they went to the best furever homes. Nothing is known about Mum or Dad- four girls and one boy are black with tan to rich brown markings making them look more Rottie, and one boy and girl are tan and look like Yellow Labrador Retrievers. One of the siblings DNA test showed: 41% Rottweiler, 24% Australian Cattle Dog, 9% American Staffordshire Terrier, 7% American Pit Bull Terrier, 7% German Shepherd Dog. Ducky is not shy or afraid of anything- her foster thinks she'd take on a Mountain Lion! The Seven have received their 1 year Rabies, Bordetella and 2nd DAPP (3rd due by 11/3/2024). Ducky weighed in at 18.25 pounds on 10/2/2024. The Seven arrived in Colorado 10/17, are being fostered in Highlands Ranch, and are available for adoption today! ##2216263##

I was found wandering around town and the nice people at the shelter weren't able to contact my owner. I'm the sweetest guy you'll ever meet, and I love making new friends. My goofiness is contagious, and I promise to keep you laughing with my silly antics. I've got a knack for making friends, whether they're dogs or cats, and I've never met a treat I didn't like. Some pets are in foster homes or may already have an appointment scheduled, so the appointment is important to make sure I will be available to meet you when you come. Polk County Humane Society is located in Bolivar, Missouri, but also makes transports to the Denver, CO, Des Moines, IA and St. Louis areas twice monthly. For potential adopters in those areas, we can do a virtual visit using FaceTime or another app. Just request an appointment using the same link, but note that you want the visit to be virtual. We will call you at the time of the visit once it is confirmed. For long distance transports to Colorado and Iowa, there is an additional $100 fee to cover the cost of the transport ($65) and a health certificate from a veterinarian ($35). For transports to St. Louis, the additional fee is $50 to help cover gas. Going that last mile home for our sweet pets! All of our pets are neutered or spayed, have vaccinations appropriate for their age, treated with flea/tick/heartworm prevention, dewormed and dogs are also microchipped. #adoptdontshop ##1037191##
