Story
We are looking to rehome a sweet, large rottie/Great Pyrenees because my sister, who originally got him while in the military, has decided she no longer wants to care for him. She was previously paying my mom to take care of him, but now that she no longer wants him, that support will stop. My mom already has several dogs and cannot manage the responsibility of another large pet. He is a loving, affectionate cuddle buddy who thrives on attention and companionship. While he has a gentle and sweet nature, his size and energy make him too much for my mom

Story
Hi I`m Junebug! I`m an energetic dog who can sometimes be a bit mouthy or jumpy when excited. I`m incredibly treat-motivated, which makes me eager to learn! I may do best in a mature home. I am pushy with other dogs so will need slow and respectful introductions. I may be protective of my food and/or toys, it`s recommended I work with a qualified trainer.

Story
What`s up, I`m Aries! I`m an active boy that loves walks (hikes seem like they would be fun too!) and ear scratches. I tend to be pushy towards other dogs and may do best as the only dog in the home. A mature home is recommended due to my energy and size. I may be food possessive so it`s recommended I work with a qualified training professional. I know how to sit and am house trained.

Story
Meet Jax, Jax has been returned to rescue because he barked at a neighbor and well we can't really make that up. Jax is a blue & tan boy with natural ears and a tail that is just over 4 1/2 years old. He is a super sweet boy and deserves the best life. He is a very smart boy who loves cuddles, is great on a leash, and knows a lot of commands! He's a great running and hiking partner, too! Jax needs to be in a Doberman experienced home with no small children. Jax will need to be in a home that is willing to work with him and a trainer for him to continue to grow into the dog he is meant to be. He will also need a home with a 6 ft fence, as he can clear a 3-4 ft fence if he decided to let himself out on a run. Jax is fully vetted and ready for his new forever home. Jax is muzzle trained and in high stress environments like vet offices it would be best for him to wear it in case he gets over stimulated. This boy has had a rough life thus far after running the streets of Mexico to coming here. Jax is back to the dog we originally adopted out. He would be best in a home with another dog to keep his confidence up. He is good with cats and horses also. We are currently accepting applications for Jax at www.savingdobermankind.org/adoption-application All animals adopted from us are fully vetted including spay/neuter, vaccines, microchip, heartworm test and deworming. Please email us at HookedOnDobies@gmail.com, visit our Facebook page www.facebook.com/savingdobermankind or webpage https://www.savingdobermankind.org to request an application, inquire about an adoption fee, or to learn more! We do require a completed adoption application to be submitted before discussing details of a specific Doberman. We DO NOT have a central location, out foster homes are located throughout our geographic region including CO, WY, NM,and TX. We strive to PROTECT the privacy of out fosters. ALL Doberman meet and greets are conducted in a neutral meeting location made by appointment only.

Story
Meet Schmitt, Schmitt is a super super sweet boy that deserves the best home. He doesn't have the best story. We accidentally found this boy on Craigslist and well in true fashion we didn't get any good information from the person that was rehoming him. We thought we were getting a 14ish week old puppy. Turns out that's not close to true. We have had him for several weeks in our care working with our vets to see what this poor guys future would look like. What we know is that he is 6-7 months old and likely will be a true miniature doberman but not because he was born that way but something has caused blunt force trauma to his head which is why it's not shaped quiet right. After xrays were taken his skull isn't pressing on his brain but is likely what has stunted his growth and likely will not grow much more. His gate is slightly off as well but otherwise he is a happy boy that loves everyone he meets. Schmitt will need a home that is truly looking for a special needs boy. He is super sweet but he is going to require a structured home that will keep his routine normal. We have learned that throwing off his routine does set him back even if it's a change in environment. He will need a home with not a ton of stairs as he isn't exactly coordinated and runs into things a lot. He would not be a good candidate for a dog door as he likely wouldn't be able to go in and out of it. He would be a dog that will need to be crated when alone for his safety. His prefect home would be with an owner that is home most of the time. Schmitt is good with other dogs and would be best in a home with older kids respectful of dogs he has been around cats and wasn't exactly sure what to think of them. Schmitt is fully vetted now but still needs two rounds of vaccines. Story
Meet Sable, Sable found herself at a local shelter not once but 3 times after being adopted twice and returned. Sable is a super sweet energetic girl that is not quiet 2 years old yet. She is very much a puppy with her energy and will need a home that knows dobermans and no kids under the age of 10 due to her mouthiness. Sable learned several commands with her original owner though lost her training being in the shelter but after she decompresses from everything she has been through over the last month she should pick up where she left off. Sable will only respond to R+ training as adverse training she will give adverse reactions to. Currently we are working on her with cats and other dogs. She has done fine with other dogs in the past but this is the first time she will be with cats. To adopt Sable you will need to have a trainer in mind to continue her training with to get her back on track to the dog she started off being. Sable needs to be on a diet that does not contain poultry. To apply to adopt Sable please go to www.savingdobermankind.org/adoption-application All animals adopted from us are fully vetted including spay/neuter, vaccines, microchip, heartworm test and deworming.
