Story
Frankie is a stunning, 5 year old, female, Rottweiler. She originally joined MHCR a few years ago. As her adoptive family grew, welcoming 3 kiddos, two of which were twins, Frankie grew uncomfortable with the chaos that ensued. She came back into our care now seeking a home without any kiddos. Frankie has been hard at work on weight loss! She was a whopping 124 lbs!! She’s down to 103 lbs now and is ready to find a forever family committed to helping her achieve her weight loss goals. Ideal weight is likely around 85 lbs so she has a ways to go. Luckily, she LOVES fetch! She will chase a tennis ball around all day long and never tire. She’s a very playful girl and playing is definitely her love language. She seems to do ok with other large dogs – however she’d love to be the queen if someone’s castle. She tends to do better with dogs that aren’t super high energy (which makes sense given her dislike of toddlers). She’s house trained, too! She’s independent (minus playing) and comes for loves but isn’t driven by them. A secure fenced in yard is a must! Frankie is being fostered in Lakewood, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs. * You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/frankie/. Story
Jenny is a bright, confident and energetic girl. She loves to play and go on long walks. She is very affectionate and friendly with people both adults and children. She has a strong personality and though she is small for a Rottie tends to be the more dominant type of dog. We're practicing letting her get to know other dogs and she's showing good progress with her manners. She's looking for an owner who would be comfortable continuing to help her with this. She is very smart and is going to make someone a fantastic loyal companion.

Story
Meet Basil, the energetic and playful Rottweiler! This handsome black pup is a young male, only 1-3 years old, and is a medium-sized dog weighing around 50 pounds. As a Rottweiler, Basil is known for his strong and muscular build, making him the perfect companion for outdoor adventures. Basil is a sweet and loving dog who enjoys the company of both people and other dogs. He is good with kids, making him a great family pet for families with children. His playful nature and affectionate personality make him an ideal playmate for children who are looking for a furry friend to run around and have fun with. While Basil gets along well with other dogs, he may not be the best fit for a household with cats right mow. His high energy play style will improve as he matures but he would a lot for a kitty to handle. Eventually, with proper training and socialization, Basil can learn to coexist peacefully with feline companions. With his striking black fur and loving personality, Basil is sure to steal your heart. Whether it's going for a hike, playing in the backyard, or cuddling up on the couch, Basil is up for any adventure as long as he's by your side. Bring this lovable Rottweiler home and make him a part of your family today!

Story
**Mollie is a board and train dog through Brighter Days.  Please read all about this before applying to adopt** Mollie is a 2 year old Rottie mix Mollie was surrendered to Brighter Days Dog Resue because her previous owners had never taken the time to train her properly.  Becuase of this she was surrendered to Brighter Days to find a family who actually has the time and dedication a 4-legged companion needs.  When an adult dog comes to us lacking any sort of training we immediately get them into our board and train program.  One of the main reasons dogs get euthanized in an overcrowded shelter is due to lack of training.  When we started Brighter Days we made a commitment that we would make sure every single Brighter Days Dog would be set up for a life time of success, which includes training.  Our trainer works so hard to get these dogs to be wonderful, stable, balanced, obedient, great dogs.  To make sure their hard work is not lost over time due to owners who don't continue the training, we require each one of our adopters who is adopting a board and train dog to take our trainers classes in longmont.  It is an eight week course that is usually $300, but for Brighter Days adopters it is free! Here is what our Trainer has to say about Mollie: Mollie is a high energy, hilarious, sweet and affectionate dog. Mollie will need daily exercise, so an active home is best for her, a home that enjoys walking, running, hiking, etc. Also she needs a house with a big yard and a fully enclosed with a 6 foot privacy fence. She is an awesome dog and will be perfect for the right, active family.  We are going to require Molly goes to a home without other dogs, cats, and kids just to make sure she is set up for success.   If you are inerested in adopting Mollie please fill out our adoption application at brighterdaysdogrescue.com ##1403699##
