Artichoke is looking for a loving foster home where he can rest and recover until he is ready for adoption. He would appreciate a patient foster who will allow him to adapt to a new environment at his own pace. He has a bit of separation anxiety and would do best with someone who will be home with him most of the time. Reason for Foster: Upper Respiratory Infection (URI), Skin Infection, Ear Infection Foster Time Frame: Approximately 2 Weeks (The foster timeframe may vary depending on recovery and any follow-up medical needs.) Foster Care Plan: Artichoke is being treated for an upper respiratory infection, which is similar to a common cold. While recovering, they may have symptoms such as sneezing, congestion, and nasal/eye discharge. Because URI can be contagious to other dogs, we recommend keeping them separated from resident dogs until they have fully recovered.He is also being treated for a skin and ear infection. He will go to foster with medication and a medical consultation will be provided at your pickup appointment to ensure you are prepared to care for this sweet boy. How to take this pet home:Artichoke is available through our Foster-to-Adopt Program, which allows prospective adopters to take pets home before they are available for adoption.Visit Operation Kindness and speak with our Client Services team.
