Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Muffin Muffin is a handsome red Norfolk Terrier mix with a heart as soft as his name. Born around March 11, 2025, this little guy weighs just 11.5 pounds—but he’s packed full of sweetness and love. Muffin is a total love bug who just wants to be close to his people. Muffin came from a hoarding situation where he was living with 29 other dogs. Because of that, he’s still learning about the big world and what it means to be a cherished companion. He can be a little shy when meeting new people, but the moment you offer him a little kindness and attention, he warms up quickly and happily soaks up the love. He’s still working on his leash skills and hasn’t quite mastered walking on one yet—right now he much prefers being carried like the little prince he is! With patience and gentle encouragement, Muffin will continue to gain confidence and learn new things every day. If you’re looking for a sweet, affectionate little companion who just needs a bit of love and reassurance, Muffin might be the perfect match for you. Muffin’s adoption fee is $350. You can apply to adopt him at www.adoggie4you.org This dog is currently in Texas; however, it can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington KY or all along the East Coast. If transported, there is an additional transport fee of $250. We do not transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to their regulations.   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 15, 2026, 10:33 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Milo! Milo is a handsome Norfolk Terrier mix with a beautiful red coat and an even sweeter personality. Born around March 11, 2025, this charming boy weighs 14.5 pounds, making him a great small-to-medium sized companion for a loving home. Milo came from a hoarding situation where he was one of 29 dogs, so life hasn’t always been easy for him. Because of that, he may take a few minutes to warm up to new people. But once you approach him gently and offer slow, reassuring pets, you’ll see his guard melt away—and that’s when his affectionate side shines through. Sadly, Milo did not receive heartworm prevention earlier in life and tested heartworm positive. The good news is that he has already been treated and is doing well! He just needs to take medication for 30 more days to complete his recovery and get back to feeling his best. Milo gets along wonderfully with other dogs and truly enjoys their company. He is very smart and eager to connect with people, especially once he feels safe. With a patient and loving family willing to give him time to adjust, he will grow into a loyal and devoted companion. He’s still learning some basics, including walking on a leash, but with consistency and kindness he will quickly improve. If you’re ready to give a deserving pup a second chance and a lifetime of love, Milo may be the perfect fit for your family. Story
Meet Nugget Age: 2 years (born January 2024) Gender: Male Weight: 7.2 kg / 15 lbs (small size) Breed: Wire-haired mixed breed Color: Gold Health Neutered Vaccinated Heartworm negative Personality & Behavior Nugget is a spunky, vibrant little guy with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He’s intelligent, affectionate, and incredibly companionable. Nugget loves being involved in everyday life — whether that’s joining you for walks, supervising household chores, or relaxing nearby while you unwind. He happily greets new people and bonds closely with his family. Like many small breeds, he’s naturally alert and attentive to outside sounds, but his favorite thing is simply being near his people. Good with dogs: Yes Resource guarding: No Alert barker Good with kids: Yes, older children preferred Good with cats: No (strong small-prey drive) Low shedding (regular brushing recommended) Energy level: Medium Nugget truly thrives on companionship. He loves being with his people as much as possible and would also enjoy having a friendly dog sibling to share life with. Training & Adaptability ‍ Leash trained Good in the car Adjusts well to home routines and currently living successfully in a foster home Crate trained for travel purposes As with any dog, maintaining a consistent daily routine will help him continue to succeed in a new home. Home Life Nugget is a 100% indoor dog and sleeps comfortably on his dog bed in his foster home, always happiest when he’s close to his people. He would do best in a home where he can be part of daily activities and included in family life. A household where someone is home often, or one with another friendly, playful dog, would be an ideal match for his loving and social nature. Ideal Home Nugget is more than just a dog — he’s a loyal little companion ready to fill your home with warmth, joy, and devotion. With his affectionate personality and lively spirit, he brings positive energy to every moment. If you’re looking for a small dog who will happily be your sidekick, your walking partner, and your cuddle buddy, Nugget may be your perfect match. Adopting Nugget means gaining a best friend who will love you wholeheartedly every single day. Rescue Story Nugget’s rescue story is one of patience, kindness, and perfect timing. He was first spotted near a health clinic, following a man and young girl who assumed he belonged to someone else. When they entered the building and he wasn’t allowed inside, it became clear he was alone. He disappeared into the crowd. Days later, his rescuer saw him again in the same area. This time, she approached gently with food and patience. Trust was quickly built, and that moment marked the beginning of Nugget’s journey to safety. Over the past months, he has experienced love, stability, and care — and now he’s ready for a forever home to continue that journey. Location: Mexico (waiting for a 10-day trial commitment) Adoption Fee: $600 Apply: www.northwestwagrescue.org ##2627920##
