TWIGGY IS IN HER FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN, AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO CT ONCE ADOPTED!    Meet Twiggy — a spirited 1-year-old Jack Russell Terrier/Basenji mix with a joyful personality and endless charm. This playful young female thrives in an active home where she can enjoy plenty of exercise, games, and adventures with her people. Smart, affectionate, and full of life, Twiggy loves curling up for cuddles on the sofa just as much as she enjoys playtime. Twiggy gets along wonderfully with other dogs and would especially love a family with energetic children who can keep up with her fun-loving spirit. One of her most endearing traits is her elegant, prancing walk — graceful enough to remind you of a show horse in motion. If you’re looking for a loving, lively companion with beauty, brains, and a playful heart, Twiggy may be the perfect addition to your family. She is fully vetted. Vetting includes spay/neuter, microchip, rabies and all dog vaccinations. Her adoption fee of $600 includes the transport to CT. We use a licensed and registered USDA transport company that will bring Twiggy up north to her new family.   If you have any questions, please email us at: newbeginnings_animalrescue@yahoo.com   You can apply to adopt Twiggy here: www.newbeginningsanimalrescue.net      THANK YOU FOR CONSIDERING ADOPTING A RESCUED PET! Story
Meet Max, a delightful 30 lb bundle of joy. He is around 2 years old. Max had been hanging at one of our local municipal rescue partners for several months. His time was up, and we happened to notice his cute little smile and short stubby legs on their last plea post. Even though he had already tested positive for heartworms, there was something about this little toot that called us to save him. And man oh man....we are SO happy that we saved him because he truly is just a little bundle of joy and love He's very interested in what humans are up to and he's not a Stage 5 clinger by any means, but he is a solid Stage 2 clinger. He's good to get in his crate with a toy or puzzle, but he really wants to be in on the action. His temp foster dad was doing some chores around the house that didn't involve Max, but Max wanted to be sure that he was in the mix. If he could have taken notes, we feel certain he would have made notes for future reference in case his forever Dad needed help with same chore. Known for his sweet and endearing nature, Max is the epitome of a great companion. His intelligence shines through in every interaction, and his playful, energetic spirit is contagious. Max loves to engage in fun activities, and he is a GREAT candidate for agility training if that's your cup of tea. He is always ready for a game or a puzzle. His friendly and goofy personality makes him a favorite among both staff and volunteers. Adopting Max means bringing home endless laughter, love, and loyalty. He's simply the perfect addition to any family looking for a furry friend to cherish. Apply to adopt Max today at www.cprdogs.com. Max is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. All dogs 6 month + receive a Proheart 6 injection at the time of their heartworm test. This provides heartworm prevention for 6 months from the time of that injection. This dog has tested positive for heartworms and will be fully treated before leaving our care. The adoption fee is $450 if your adoption is prepaid and final prior to your dog's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on dogs that are adopted at an event, or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368. WANT TO MEET OUR DOGS IN PERSON? Check the Events tab on cprdogs.com for all weekend adoption event info. The majority of the dogs marked as 'meet me' will be there to see you! If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05. TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get a confirmation. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back. After receipt of your application, an adoption counselor will then be in touch to answer your questions about this pup, discuss the adoption process and get the ball rolling! If you have not heard from one of our volunteers within 5 days of submitting your application, please email mollibo@gmail.com.

Story
**I am located in Georgia, but I can be transported north to you!** Name: Roxy Breed: Jack Russell Terrier Mix Sex/Age/Weight: Female/8 years old/10lbs Vetting: Up to date on vaccines, spayed, microchipped, and heartworm negative. Please see the special notes regarding Roxy's cancer diagnosis. House-trained/Crate-trained: I am fully house-trained and crate-trained, although my foster parents leave me out of the crate when they are not around. I spend most of my time sleeping anyways. Dogs/Cats/Children: I would prefer to be the only dog in the home. I also don’t like cats very much. I have never been around children inside a home but I have met a couple on walks and I seem to like them. Energy Level: Low energy but I enjoy going on short walks. Before FAR/My History: Before coming to FAR, I was surrendered due to a cancerous mass. Since then, I have undergone three surgeries to remove the masses. The vet mentioned that there is still a possibility that the cancer may have spread to other parts of my body. There is also a possibility that the cancerous masses that were removed will come back. The type of cancer I have is an aggressive form of doggy breast cancer. However, I have been doing well and have been gaining weight under the care of my foster parents. Things I like: Cuddles, treats, and getting love. Things I don’t like: Loud noises. Ideal Family/Home: I am a senior dog with special needs, but I am still a loving and sweet companion. I am hoping to find a peaceful and comfortable place to spend my golden years. Special Notes: Roxy is a senior dog with special needs, and due to her cancer diagnosis may require extensive medical care. If you are interested in giving Roxy a forever home, please visit the link below to fill out an application! http://fureverafterrescue.org/adoption-application.html It is best to submit an application through a computer. We have experienced some problems when applications have been submitted using a mobile device. *When you submit the application, you are not obligated to adopt however it does reserve for you the opportunity to adopt that particular animal. We review them on a first come first served basis. If your application is approved, we will contact you and allow you the opportunity to adopt. If you choose not to adopt, we will contact the next approved applicant. If you have any questions or difficulties, please contact us and we will be glad to help! http://fureverafterrescue.org/adoption-application.html

Story
Meet Wilford Brimley!!! Unlike his namesake, he will not try to sell you "Diabeetus" testing supplies but he will try to convince you that he is all you need. He wants to meet everyone he sees. He gets along well with his foster siblings and all other dogs he has met. He would love another canine to play with in his forever home. He is indifferent about the resident foster cat but this cat is very dog savvy. He loves to cuddle and snuggle with his human but he is crate trained and does sleep in his crate overnight. Wilford loves his walks and traveling in the car but also be happy with a fenced in yard. He loves affection but not while he is eating. He does best with a slow feeder bowl. He does respect other dogs during their food consumption events. Wilford or Mr. Brimley, has been in foster for a few months, as we gave him time to decompress and become familiar with what is expected of a loved, balanced canine companion. His new family should expect to give him time to show what a good dog he can be. Wilford would thrive with Adult companionship as kids are too animated for him. An apartment is not ideal for him as he is still working on learning an appropriate inside voice. Wilford Brimley would love a window seat as he takes great pleasure in people watching. If you think you can assist in his quest for balance, please fill out an application. ##2633256##

ALL our cats and dogs are in the NY area but can be adopted out of state to the purrfect furever home.  In some cases, we can help transport.  Zani's al fresco Summer Adoptions  follow us on FB to find us this summer as we will try new locations to meet the needs of NYC and support the little stores:)       Handsome Chicho- 3 months, from Puerto Rico. All dogs are located in NY/NJ area All our puppies need puppy play dates/doggy facetime so we recommend homes with other pups or daily interactions to keep them tired out, happy and social.     Facebook: Zani's Furry Friends ZFF (weekly adoption event info posted there) Twitter: zanisff  Instagram: zanisfurryfriends   Dogs are spayed/neutered, UTD on age appropriate vaccines, Rabies vaxed, and microchipped (not Lyme vaxed but we seriously recommend it!)  All are in the NY/NJ area but we will adopt out of state to the purrfect home and in some cases, we can arrange transport.  Please go to our site  https://zanisfurryfriends.org  fill out an application  Many of us (cats/dogs) will be on display on Saturdays or Sundays, weather dependent--please ask by writing us at dogs@zanisfurryfriends.org and following us on FB. If you are seriously interested in adopting one of us in particular, please fill out an application early Friday so that we can be sure to be there. Otherwise we decide based on other variables. Usually we are in our foster homes so this is a bit more stressful and a slightly artificial environment but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes too.   Please consider providing a home for more than one dog, especially if you are considering adopting a puppy. Dogs are pack animals and very much enjoy as well as need other dog company to learn to play, socialize and be good companion animals to people. The upside to this is that you won't feel as guilty leaving them alone and you get twice the love. Please come! And if you can't adopt, maybe you can foster or volunteer, and you can always donate! If you want to know about cats/dogs specifically being shown at our adoption locations, please email us info@zanisfurryfriends.org closer to the date so we know your interest and will make every effort to have that pet at the event or let you know how and where you can meet.  It is extemely helpful and speeds up adoption if the application is filled out prior to visiting us so please do that before coming to our weekend events.
