Story
This girl was picked up on the side of a road. She is very friendly and sweet. She loves people and attention!! She is getting house trained along with learning how to be on a leash. She does well in a car and would be great with kids. She is a happy girl who we think used to have a home. She is fun and does like to play. She has a wonderful personality and would be great with any family. She is ready to head to her new home. Winnie is in Tennessee but can be transported to you through Rescue Riders.

Story
Hey there, folks! Is this mic on, or am I just barking up the wrong tree?     Allow me to introduce myself—I'm Tater Tot! Yes, you heard that right, like the crispy potato treat, only I'm much fluffier and far less edible. I'm a 6-ish month old terrier mix, although what kind of terrier exactly is anyone's guess. Perhaps I'm a one-of-a-kind breed called "Adorable Mutticus," known for its irresistible charm and mysterious ancestry.   Now, let's delve into the riveting saga of my life, beyond my self-evident cuteness that rivals that of a celebrity puppy influencer. I've been fully vetted, meaning I've collected all the cool medical accessories: vaccines (check), a microchip (double check), and yes, I've even been neutered, which sounds way more intense than it is. I'm basically the James Bond of the canine world, minus the fancy gadgets and suave British accent.    When it comes to socializing, I'm a regular party animal. I get along with everyone—kids, dogs, cats, you name it! I’m an equal opportunity snuggler, spreading joy and tail wags wherever I go. Whether you're a tiny human learning to walk or a grumpy old cat that thinks it's the boss of the house, I promise we'll be best buds in no time.   Now, let's talk about my energy levels, which are as dynamic as a toddler who's just discovered candy. I have a zest for life that can rival a caffeine-fueled marathon runner, but I also possess the magical ability to morph into a couch potato faster than you can say "Netflix binge." One moment I'm zooming around like I've got a jetpack strapped to my back, and the next, I'm curled up on the couch, mastering the art of relaxation like a Zen master.    I've been diligently working on my housebreaking skills and crate training, and I'm happy to report that I'm on the cusp of becoming a canine prodigy! If there were gold medals for peeing outside and napping in a crate, I'd be a champion. I think joining obedience classes with my family would be a blast—and a chance to further showcase my brilliance. Who wouldn't want to see me master the art of sit, stay, and maybe even "fetch me a treat"? So, if you're ready for a bundle of joy with a side of comedy, look no further—Tater Tot is here to steal your heart and maybe a sock or two!  ##2226700##

Story
adoption donation $799     weight: 22 lbs      Age: 1 1/2 years        Pudding  is an active, friendly boy who along with his brother Vanilla Bean and sister, Chocolate, was found abandoned in a rural part of  Mississippi. Since arriving at the rescue, Pudding has made himself at home, playing with the other dogs and snuggling up with his siblings for naps.         Pudding gets along fine with all the dogs at the rescue and is a loving boy, he just adores a belly rub! He is house trained but like any rescue will likely need some time to adjust in a new home.       On Saturday, November 16 Chocolate and Vanilla bean left the rescue to travel up to the northeast to find loving homes of their own,  sadly leaving Pudding behind. Now it’s this sweet boys turn! Pudding is a loving and gentle dog will make a wonderful member of the family. Pudding is up to date on his vaccinations and has been neutered.      Wags is a registered 501 C3, it is a struggling rescue in Mississippi where one woman cares for almost 150 homeless dogs. Adoption donations are our only source of funding for the rescue. Adoption fees include the transport, vaccines, spay or neuter.   For more information, please email Mariaeftimiades@yahoo.com  November 17, 2024, 1:14 am

Story
Percy is a stumpy guy with a lot of personality, needs a gentle hand and a patient person that can bring the best out in him. He is housetrained and once you win him over with treats, he’s your best friend. Hasn’t been socialize much and does good with male humans that he was used to caring for him. Good with other dogs and would most likely learn the ropes from another pup. Isn’t leashed trained and would do better with a harness. Looking for his forever home to live his life with many years of happiness. Percy Is spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, treated for all of the intestinal parasites, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. Because intestinal parasites are cyclical, your puppy may need additional treatment once you get him/her home. This is common and nothing to be alarmed about. Puppies and dogs need to be treated periodically for parasites throughout their entire lives. The adoption fee is $550 if your adoption is prepaid prior to your pup's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on puppies that are picked up from our Southbury CT adoption center, adopted at an event, or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368. WANT TO MEET OUR DOGS IN PERSON? Check the Events tab on cprdogs.com for all weekend adoption event info. The majority of the dogs marked as 'meet me' will be there to see you! More and more of our adopters are having fun with DNA tests on their pups. You might ask yourself why our breed guess is varying degrees of difference from the DNA tests. Most of our puppies are rescued from high kill shelters or other abandonment situations and we have no info on parents. When we rescue puppies that have no background info, we make our very best educated guess as to breed mix and age. Our guesstimate comes from years and years and years of animal welfare work and training, but our guesses won't always agree with your vet, your neighbor, your DNA test, etc. The most important thing to know about your puppy's breed mix is that most likely he/she is a Super Lovable Mutt made of many many many different breeds. If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at the Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05. TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get an automatically generated confirmation email. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back. After receipt of your application, an adoption counselor will then be in touch to answer your questions about this pup, discuss the adoption process and get the ball rolling! If you have not heard from one of our volunteers within 5 days of submitting your application, please email mollibo@gmail.com.

adoption donation $599     weight: 30 lbs      Age: 6 months           Jesse is a sweet and friendly puppy who loves to run and play and gets along with everyone she meets. And those ears! She is a quirky funny girl who loves to follow her foster mom from room to room, tail wagging.       Jesse was taken in by local family in Mississippi when she was a small puppy but the family recently fell on hard times and medical issues have made it impossible for them to keep Jesse.
