He has been microchipped for identification purposes. As a young puppy, he is likely still in good health, having come from a shelter environment. His high energy levels are typical for a Jack Russell puppy of his age. Potential Needs and Considerations Rumble will require an active household that can provide him with plenty of exercise, playtime, and mental stimulation to prevent boredom and destructive behaviors. His strong prey drive and high energy levels mean he will need training and socialization to learn appropriate behaviors. Potential adopters should be prepared to invest time and patience into Rumble's training and development to channel his energy in positive ways. A fenced yard or access to safe off-leash areas would be ideal to allow Rumble to safely burn off his abundant energy. In summary, Rumble is a high-energy, social Jack Russell puppy who will need an experienced, active owner committed to his training and care. With the right environment and guidance, he has the potential to be a wonderful, loving companion. ##2230443##

Story
Hi, my name is Charley Feeny and while I'm the happiest buddy now, before my Underdog days I had a pretty rough go of it. I used to have a loving mama, but one day she went away, and I found myself living with a person who did not like me very much. He was not feeding me or even letting me in from the cold. I wandered off and a nice lady found me. I showed her where I lived and she took me back, but the man said I was a stray and even though I barked and barked, he would not let me inside. The nice lady took me to a shelter. They said I was a hospice senior, and I that I was on the urgent rescue list. Fortunately, the staff really liked me, so they reached out to Underdogs, who sent a new mama to pick me up. My new foster home is so nice. There are other dogs to play with, I am allowed to curl up under the covers whenever I want to and there is lots of healthy food and treats to eat. She took me to the dog doc and she told her that I was neither neither a senior nor a hospice dog. I tried to tell everyone that, but apparently dog docs are more trustworthy. As it turns out, I am only about 6 years old and though not being fed regularly and neglected overall was hard on my kidneys, proper food and some medicine have been healing them nicely. I now weigh thirteen pounds and am looking perky and am the most handsome scruffy terrier and miniature poodle mix.  I love the fenced yard at my foster digs and I especially love going for walks in the morning. New foster mama put an open crate in the living room so I can go in there any time I need time to myself. I also like toys to play with. One weekend we had lots of company, including a 12-year-old girl and extra dogs. Mama said she was so proud of how I behaved.  She tells me that we are looking for my new forever family, someone that will take me for walks, feed me well, love me and help me feel secure again. She says that I will do best with adults and older children with dog experience. I love dog friends, but the kitties are not my most favorite.  If you're interested in adopting Charlie Feeny, please fill out an adoption application here: https://underdogsrescue.org/adopt-form/ Underdogs is a small volunteer-based animal rescue and we unfortunately do not have the resources to respond to phone and email inquires about our adoptable animals at this time. Story
Francis is a young adult Terrier mix weighing about 11lbs.  Francis was dumped at an overcrowded, high kill shelter in Texas when she was incredibly pregnant.  The stress of the situation forced her into labor within 24 hours of being in the shelter.  We were SO lucky that Fancis and all her puppie survived until we were able to get them to CO to our safe foster home. Francis has been an amazing Mom.  So many doggy Momma's never care about their puppies and don't have that loving demeanor but Momma Francis has been amazing since day one.  She LOVES her foster humans and wants to be with them as much as possible, but also cares so much about her babies and loves to check on them and take care of them as much as possible.  It shows just how sweet and loving she is with everything and everyone.  Francis loves to snuggle and play with toys.  She loves sunbathing and hanging out with the other adult puppies in the home.  She is just a good, super super sweet girl. She is also very easy going. If you are interested in adopting Francis, please fill out our adoption application at brighterdaysdogrescue.com ##2203192##

Story
Louis is a 3.5MO, 4lb terrier mix.  Louis was dumped at a shelter with 3 other siblings when they were only 2 months old.  We transported little Louis and his siblings to CO to find their forever families in a safe area.  We are guessing Louis will be about 10-12lbs when full grown.   Louis is a sweet little man.  He gets along well with other dogs and the fosters bunnies, as well as all people.  He is playful happy little pup and puts a smile on the faces of everybody he meets.  Louis would do great in a home with another dog to play with (big or small) or with someone who has lots of time to spend with a pup, and can get him out and about to socialize and live life to the fullest. Story
Winnie is a young adult Terrier mix weighing about 10lbs.  Winnie was dumped at a shelter in Kansas without any history.  She was not doing well in the shelter, as she was absolutely terrified and shut down so the shelter staff reached out to us to see if we could take her, to get her out of the shelter setting.  Poor girl probably thought she was going for a ride in the car with her mom and instead ended up being abandoned at the terrifying, overcrowded shelter all alone.  She has been in our care for a couple weeks now and here is what her foster Momma has to say about her: "Winnie follows me around and is very sweet and snuggly.  It took her about 72 hours to feel comfortable enough to seek out snuggles and affection from me, but each day she is getting more and more comfortable, loving, and trusting. She loves to force my hand to her belly for rubs if it's near.  She would do best in a calm environment as new people do still scare her, but she does warm up to them if they give her the time and patience."   She does come around, but has clearly but under socialized.  An ideal home for her would be someone who has another dog for her to continue learning from along with someone who will be extremely patient as she learns to trust more.  We have seen her come around with her foster and her fosters friends so we know it happens, it just takes a few days.  It would be great if her forever family can continue to push her boundaries so she can keep learning all this world has to offer.  She learns quick and once she realizes she is safe in situation she really enjoys herself so want to make sure her forever human can keep expanding her world, even if it's a little tough in the beginning. There is not much as rewarding in life as watching a rescue dog who is terrified and shut down come out of their shell and learn how amazing humans can be and experience all this wonderful world has to offer.  Being a part of that transition is priceless.
