This is Ellee (Noelle), a 5 month Jack Russell mix with a big appetite for affection and your attention. Her gaze will melt you and her sassy, prancy trot will entertain you! She loves other dogs and people, does not mind cats and doing well on her house training. She will sleep in her kennel but prefers to share the bed with her humans. Typical of her breed, she is very energetic with zoomies through the house and yard and also a nibbler which may not be good for young children. She is learning "no bite", giving her a toy instead of our hands. Ellee is always trying to get the big dogs to play with her, sometimes a bit annoying and will steal their toys when they are not looking. This beautifull girl will mature at probably about 30lbs and can't wait for her family to find her. Opi was rescued from a shelter in New Mexico. Meet and greets are by appointment only. An approved application is required to schedule a meeting. Check out our events page for upcoming open adoption events! We have no additional back story or update for this dog at this time. When we do, it will be updated here. This is all the information we have currently. Approved Applicants may make the adoption fee payment by clicking donate above. Partial adoption fees will not hold a dog. If upon meeting the dog of your choosing at your scheduled pickup time you find that you aren't a good match, your deposit will be fully refunded. Adoption fees include vaccines up until time of adoption, microchip, spay/neuter and 1st 30 days of free pet insurance. We are not affiliated with MetLife pet insurance. (you have to sign up for the insurance or it will not go into effect). Adoption fees help cover the medical care of the animals while he or she waits for a new home, as well as food and transportation costs. These fees help to provide care for the other animals in the shelter or rescue group who may have medical bills that are much higher than any possible adoption fee. The money also acts as a donation to help support the organization as a whole, allowing the group to continue its efforts to rescue and rehome pets. The dogs in our care are fostered in Colorado, Texas, and New Mexico. While all dogs are picked up during our scheduled times, sometimes transport dates change due to unforeseen circumstances. Misty had a rough start in life and almost didn't make it to Colorado. Her eye was badly infected and she needed to have it removed. But FOJ rescuers saw her sweetness and resiliency shining through and made it happen. Now, she's a one-eyed wonder and she barely seems to notice she's different! This tiny, scruffy girl will melt your heart! She is a mix of so many things depending on her comfort level -- she can be shy at first and a little skittish, but her explorer nature quickly takes over as she checks out every corner of your house. She loves being close to her humans and really just wants to curl up on your lap! She's great with kids and other dogs.
