Story
A 2-year-old, 36-pound mix of Feist and Terrier, Lulu came to us from a hoarding situation. She's a lovely dog with a sweet personality who, upon first meeting can be shy, but will warm up quickly. She loves being stroked and loved; in fact, she's very affectionate. We think she's grateful that we brought her into rescue with us. She's been treated for heartworm and is ready to go home with you! How about it? Show her what a real home is like! (posted 12/29/25, ME) Adoption Fee: $395.00-- covers microchip, worming, all vaccines, monthly heart worm preventative, monthly tick/flea preventative, spaying/neutering, health certificate, and complete medical records. Transport Fee: $160.00-- We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip. We make every effort to arrive with healthy and minimally stressed dogs. **It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. **December 29, 2025, 4:16 pm

Story
Current Location: Lusby, MD Meet Ragnar, lovingly called Rags. He is one of those quiet souls who gently steals your heart. Rags is a little timid right now, but you can see the confidence building every day. He has been wonderful in his crate and enjoys having his own space to relax. After a few early nervous dribbles, he has had no accidents in the house and is already settling into a routine. He is still on the thin side, but his appetite is strong and treats are quickly becoming a favorite part of his day. He recently met his foster’s resident dog and did great. He was cautious at first, then curious, with that full body wiggle that says he wants to be friends but is still figuring things out. He is friendly and affectionate in his own gentle way, standing back at first before sneaking in for a quick pet. Rags will need some leash practice and help learning his basic commands, but he is eager, sweet, and clearly ready to learn. Watching him discover safety, kindness, and consistency is already a joy. With a little patience and a lot of love, Ragnar is going to blossom into a truly wonderful companion.

Story
Rocket Man is a dog with a strong personality. He is short and stocky, making him stand out among other dogs. Rocket Man enjoys being in control and likes to be the boss of the pack. He craves attention and loves being around people, always seeking out affection and playtime. However, his assertiveness can sometimes lead to him bullying less dominant or submissive dogs. Despite this behavior, Rocket Man's loving nature and need for human companionship make him an ideal companion for an active and experienced dog owner. He enjoys running around with other dogs at the dog park. With proper training and socialization, Rocket Man can become a loyal and loving pet who will always be by his owner's side. Story
https://foha.org/pet/milo2024/ ABOUT THIS ANIMAL: Hi, I’m Milo (pronounced MEE-LO)—a small dog with a big heart! I’m a sweet, speedy little guy who loves both playful adventures and peaceful moments. I have a cute routine of carrying a chew toy in my mouth when I’m getting ready for walks. I enjoy spending time outside soaking up the sun and doing my lightning-fast zoomies. After a fun outing, I’m the perfect co-pilot who curls up and naps in the car. I’m a bit timid at first but eager to connect with my people. I’ve thrived in a home environment and have done well living with other dogs, though I do appreciate breaks from them sometimes. I’m loyal, intelligent, and affectionate—just the right companion for active yet cozy days. And make sure to scroll down past my bio to see all the AMAZING videos my foster mom has posted! You can really see how much I thrive in a home, and maybe it’ll help you see how I could be in your home and heart! HOW AM I WITH DOGS: Good with dogs with proper introductions. I’ve lived with multiple dogs and did great, but I may need patience and breaks from them occasionally. HOW AM I WITH CATS: I am a bit too interested in cats and would do best in a home without feline friends. HOW AM I WITH KIDS: Unknown. I KNOW THE FOLLOWING COMMANDS: Sit, stay, come. MY HOUSEBREAKING AND/OR CRATING: I have good house manners! THINGS I LIKE: Chew toys, sunny yard time, car rides, cuddling, zoomies. THINGS I DISLIKE: Storms, sudden dog encounters in public places. FOHA ADOPTION POLICIES AND PROCESS – https://foha.org/pet-adoption/adoption-policies/ ADOPTION FEE INCLUDES: Spay/neuter, vaccines (rabies, distemper & Bordetella), 1-month access to Petcademy for training and behavior support, slip lead leash, 1 bag starter food, 1 month flea/tick & heartworm preventatives, diagnostic testing, and additional medical procedures as recommended by our vet. My adoption fee has been covered by a generous donor!!
