ABOUT ME… Hey there, I'm Bert! Some say I’ve got the charm of my namesake—Burt Reynolds—minus the mustache but with all the charisma. I may be past my prime to stay on the run from Smokey, but I sure do love a good road trip, a long walk, or just riding shotgun with my favorite human. Life has been a bit of a winding road for me. My mom passed away, and when my dad had to move into a care facility, my world got turned upside down. My caretakers wanted the best for me but couldn’t keep me, so they reached out to CO•PAW. That’s when my amazing foster family stepped in to help me heal and get ready for my next big adventure—finding my forever home. Through it all, I’ve been determined to stay a true gentleman—kind, loyal, and always up for some fun. Whether we’re cruising the open road or relaxing on the couch, I’m just happy to be part of the ride. I AM GREAT WITH... House manners—I know where to do my business: outside. I love long walks or just being your couch pal. I get along well with dogs big and small, and I adore people. My foster dad hasn’t had a chance to introduce me to cats, but I have a feeling we’d get along just fine. He also says I’ve got a heart as big and powerful as a Trans Am’s engine. I AM STILL WORKING ON... Figuring out what’s next. After losing my home, I’m still getting used to change. But I’ve been so lucky to have kind humans looking out for me, and I know my perfect family is just around the bend. I REQUIRE... A loving home where I can settle in and be part of the family. Someone who appreciates a loyal sidekick for walks, naps, and everyday adventures. A comfy spot on the couch—or at least an honorary co-pilot seat. Booster shots are included in the adoption fee and will be performed at our clinic, or the adopter can use their own vet at their expense. Adopters must reside within 2 hours of Columbus, OH. No transportation assistance is available.**
