Updated: 05NOV24 **Meet Leah, the Queen of Cuddles and the Smallest of the 11 Puppy Powerhouses!** Age: 10 months (but still believes she's a tiny diva) Breed: Dutch Shepherd mix (with a sprinkle of love!) Weight: 45 lbs (all of it pure cuteness) Spayed: Yes Vaccinations: Up to date **Origin Story** Leah's adventure began when her mom was rescued, only to discover she was pregnant and ready to unleash a whole litter of love! Born into the foster system, Leah and her siblings entered the world like a bunch of adorable little superheroes, ready to take on life one cuddle at a time. From day one, it was clear that Leah was destined to be the star of the show! **Personality** Leah is the ultimate love bug! This little cuddle monster wants nothing more than to be held by her foster dad-seriously, if you don't pick her up, she might just give you the puppy eyes that could melt glaciers! While she enjoys running and playing with her rowdy siblings, you can bet your bottom dollar she'll be back in a flash, demanding to be scooped up like the precious cargo she is. And let me tell you, she's quite the chatterbox while being held, happily expressing her approval with adorable vocalizations that say, "I'm happy! Now, hold me tighter! **Health** Now, here's the plot twist-Leah has hip issues, which means she has to strut her stuff a little differently. But don't let that fool you! Even with her medical needs, Leah is worth every ounce of love and care. Once she reaches maturity, our rescue will consult with an orthopedic specialist to figure out the best game plan for her future. She's on a daily regimen of supplements and pain meds (only when needed), and she's feeling snazzy and ready to conquer the world one cuddle at a time! **Forever Foster or Adoption** Leah is on the lookout for her forever foster or a special family that can shower her with all the love and devotion she deserves. The rescue will handle all her vetting and potential surgery, so you can focus on what really matters: endless cuddles and belly rubs! **Why Leah?** Because every 10-month-old big baby deserves a family that understands her need for love, devotion, and a few extra cuddle sessions! Leah may have medical issues, but she is truly a perfect puppy who brings joy and warmth to everyone around her. If you're ready to welcome a charming, cuddly companion into your home, Leah is just the girl you've been waiting for!

Weight: 45 lbs (all of it pure cuteness and maybe a little attitude) Spayed: Yes (because even divas need to be responsible!) Cat Friendly: Yes (but only if they know who's boss!) **Cuddly Companion* * Dorie is the cuddliest puppy you'll ever meet! "Step right up for the cutest puppy in town! **Foodie Fun** Dorie is super food and treat responsive-she's always prepared for a small nibble, whether it's food or your heart! She's the first one to sit patiently by your side, tail wagging, as you fill your glass with ice, practically drooling with excitement. "Is it a treat? No? Well, can I at least have a selfie with that ice? **Snuggle Buddy** When she's not busy playing, you can find Dorie snuggled up right by your side or cozying up next to her sister, ensuring maximum cuddling efficiency! She also loves to cuddle with the cats, proving she's the ultimate companion for both humans and furry friends alike. "Hey, if you can't beat them, join them-especially if they have warm fur! ***Brilliant Mind** Dorie is one of the smartest puppies you will ever meet! With continued love and training, she's on her way to earning a Ph.D. in "Cuteness Studies. Her eagerness to learn and bond with her family makes her a joy to have around. "I may be a diva, but I'm a smart one! **Background** Dorie was born into the foster system when her mom was rescued, and it was discovered she was pregnant. Growing up in a loving environment, she's had the privilege of being spoiled rotten, which has shaped her into the affectionate and playful diva she is today. Now, she's ready to find her forever home! **Training Progress** Her foster is currently working with her on walking skills and riding in a car, so she's learning to be the perfect travel companion! **In Summary** If you're looking for a playful, affectionate, and intelligent puppy with a side of sass, Dorie is the perfect match! Story
Updated: 07NOV24 **Meet Mila! The Cuddle Queen Who Loves to Splash!** Weight: 65 lbs of pure charm Age: 10 months old (still a puppy at heart!) Breed: Dutch Shepherd Mix (with probably a splash of Lab!) Spayed: Yes Appearance: Mostly black and fabulous! Kid and Dog Friendly: Absolutely! **Background Story. From Foster to Fabulous!** Introducing Mila, the pint-sized dynamo who was born into the foster system when her mom, the fabulous Kate, was rescued. Growing up in a loving home, Mila has mastered the art of being adorable and is ready to take on the world! **Personality Traits. Brains, Beauty, and a Splash of Goofiness!** According to her foster mom, Mila is not just a pretty face; she's super smart and has a personality that can light up any room! In fact, she's so clever that she once picked up her own harness and proudly trotted over to her foster mom after watching her put it on her brother. We think she's just trying to show off her skills- "Look, Mom! I can do it too!" Mila loves to snuggle up with her humans, especially during bedtime, making her the perfect cuddle buddy. You can always count on her to keep you warm as you drift off to sleep! Plus, Mila has shown that she doesn't get into anything she shouldn't and doesn't chew on objects lying about the house, which is a huge plus for any family. **Summer Splashing Fun!** During the summer months, Mila comes to life with her favorite activity: playing in her puppy pool! She loves to splash around and fetch balls from the pool, turning any hot day into a fun-filled adventure. If you sit or stand still long enough, you may find her settling down at your feet, claiming her spot as your loyal companion. **Loves Children** Mila is great with children of all ages, bringing joy and laughter to their playtime. However, being still a puppy, she can be a bit rambunctious, so some supervision during playtime is always a good idea. While she's submissive with the other dogs in her foster home, she can be a little shy when meeting new dogs or encountering unfamiliar situations. When she's feeling nervous, her adorable squeaky bark makes an appearance-it's like a tiny alarm bell that says, "Help! I'm a little unsure! **Shy Girl** Mila tends to take a little longer to warm up to men compared to women, but with time, patience, and treats, she'll reveal her sweet side to everyone! She would thrive in a home that includes both men and women, as she loves to be part of a diverse family. **Tennis Ball Obsessed!** And when it comes to her one true love-tennis balls-Mila is relentless! If you're not throwing the ball fast enough for her liking, she'll give you the 'I'm-not-leaving-you-alone-until-you-help-me' look. With a likely sprinkle of Labrador in her mix, she brings that classic Lab enthusiasm for playtime. Plus, she's an excellent car rider and has no issues with car sickness, making her the perfect travel companion! Whether she's lounging on the couch or making a puppy pile with her siblings, Mila is all about love and fetch! **Why Adopt Mila? Your Future Cuddle Buddy Awaits!** If you're looking for a furry friend who's equal parts cuddly, clever, and absolutely fabulous, Mila is your gal! She's on a mission to find her forever family, and she promises to fill your days with laughter, snuggles, and the occasional "Look what I can do! moment. Don't miss out on the chance to add this delightful little diva to your family-adopt Mila today and prepare for a lifetime of giggles and puppy antics!

Story
Cookie was abandoned by his homeless owner and left on the street. A neighborhood BYB picked him up. He was kept out in a small 4 foot pen and never allowed out. Cookie was heartworm positive. I assisted with his rescue and several other dogs on the property after reporting the person for her illegal operations. Cookie received heartworm treatment and is free from heartworms now. He's neutered and trained to do tricks for treats. Great dog, housebroken, loving and friendly to other dogs. I let him play with all my new Intakes. Great for a older gentleman who is retired and likes to go for walks. Cookie can also hike the trails with young females. He's very versatile.

Meet Lilibeth Currently fostering in Tennessee. (If not adopted by then she'll be moving to a New England foster on 9/24/22) Here's the link to our adoption application: https://form.jotform.com/201317338010137 Let us introduce you to Lilibeth and her gorgeous little flowers. These guys found themselves in need of a new place to land and we agreed to take them in. Lilibeth has done a wonderful job protecting, teaching and taking care of her sweet little babies. Most of her babies have found their forever homes, now it is her turn. Lilibeth is a very sweet girl that enjoys spending time with her family. She is a great medium size dog at 46 pounds. She follows her foster mom around the house frequently just to see what she is doing. Her favorite place to be is on the couch next to anyone getting love. She adores kids, and will follow them were ever they go. Lilibeth is house trained, crate trained and doing great at all her manners. She is fostering with several other dogs of various sizes and personalities. She seems to do best with the ones that are closer to her size and a little calmer and submissive. Big dogs with lots of energy make her anxious. Lilibeth also tends to want to be the boss. Our fosters work tirelessly to integrate our rescue animals into their home, so that we can provide as much information to potential adopters as possible. In addition, our coordinators offer as much information regarding the medical and behavioral and personality characteristics as is known to our organization. Without them, and our extremely generous donors, we would not be able to save as many animals as we do every day. With each adoption, we operate a Pay It Forward program, whenever possible, to help other animals in our rescue and future animals in need. If you are interested in one of our animals, please complete an application. The application link can be found on our Petfinder homepage under the picture. You may also find our application on our website at www.petmatchmakerrescue.com under the Adopt page. If they are listed on our website, their adoptions have not been finalized yet.
