Story
Meet beautiful Lilli Meet sweet Lilli a 18-month-old (as of Oct), Dobbie/shep mix female. She is fully vetted with 3x DHPP, 2x Bordetella, rabies, spayed, HW negative, microchipped, and currently on preventative (credelio and interceptor) which comes with her. Lilli is a curious and relaxed puppy. She loves meeting new dogs and is always hanging out with his partner in crime, brother Ronny. She is good with other dogs, kids, and cats. Lilli is a happy-go-lucky puppy. She gently welcomes other dogs and likes to share her toys with her friends. Lilli is potty-trained and crate-trained. Lilli travels well inside her crate when going out for car rides. Her energy is medium level. She still has some puppy energy but entertains herself well with chew toys and playing with her sibling Ronny. Lilli loves looking at herself in the mirror and is a super funny girl. Her foster momma taught her the commands "sit and "stop in Spanish. She needs more leash training but is super smart and does well off-leash walking with her rescue pack. This puppy is so respectful of boundaries and polite. I can't think of a behavior that needs correction. She would benefit from more group activities with other dogs. Lilli would do well living with other sweet and chill pups like her. Being part of a family that could get her out on hikes and trips to the beach would make her feel like that luckiest puppy. She is the perfect addition to any active family. Like we've seen all too often in rescue. Lilli and Ronny's mom had an irresponsible owner who let their mom have litter after litter. Lilli and Ronny plus 4 other puppies were born right before their mom was spayed (The Mom is now spayed thanks to a rescue who offered to cover the mom's surgery). Sadly, the owner gave Lilli and Ronny's 4 siblings to random people with no assurance they were truly safe. Lilli and Ronny's story is completely different as they've been with rescue, loved, fully vetted, and ready to go to their fur-ever loving and committed homes. If you're interested in Lilli - please see our website: https://serendipityanimalrescue.org for more info and application.

Story
Meet Blue, Blue was part of a cruelty case involving 9 pure bred Dobermans. Blue has spent his entire life, locked in a kennel 23 out of 24 hours a day. Him and many of the dogs were deprived for human attention and food. Through it all, Blue has remained the sweetest, funniest, outgoing pup you ever met! He is very friendly towards humans and loves to wrestle with other dogs in the yard. He is definitely soaking up all his freedom and not taking it for granted. We are hoping his new life with be full of love, a large backyard, and many adventures he never got to do as a pup. * BLUE IS SCHEDULED FOR A NEUTER JUNE 25th * If you are interested in adopting Blue, please submit an application to be contacted! Story
Meet Cara!   Introducing Cara, our blue and rust Doberman Pinscher pup! This sweet girl is looking for her forever home, and she’s ready to bring joy and love to her new family. Cara is affectionate and curious and adores her littermates. She’s also very friendly towards strangers, playful, and incredibly sweet.   Cara loves to play tug, play chase, and romp with her siblings. Currently, she’s still living with her littermates but is ready to find her own human family to guide her and teach her the ropes of being an adored house pet. She is still just a pup and will need to be introduced to crate training and continued work on her house manners.   If you’re looking for a loving and energetic companion, Cara is the perfect match! Preference will be given to applicants within one hour of 22974 who have Doberman or other large breed experience. Positive reinforcement training, either in person or virtual with Green Dogs Unleashed (GDU), will be required for adoption. You can apply to adopt Cara on our website and give this adorable girl the forever home she deserves.   At the time you are seeing this post, this dog is still available for adoption. But please know that we may be working on multiple applications already, and any one of them could be approved at any time. Please READ THIS ENTIRE DESCRIPTION and complete an adoption application, if you are interested in any of our animals. Application at www.greendogsunleashed.org If you send an inquiry to ask if the dog is still available, or just tell us you are interested, your inquiry will not be answered. FILL OUT AN APPLICATION. We can do NOTHING without that. No, we cannot tell you if he would be a match for your family without seeing an application. PLEASE KEEP READING for info. */*/* PLEASE NOTE: The first communication you will receive after completing an application will be an email response, which will have instructions on how to proceed. Please check your inbox AND spam folders for the next 48 hours, for this email. We will not begin processing an application without the information requested in that email. */*/* We are happy to consider applicants from out of state on most dogs. Please read the description to see if this dog is an exception. If the applicant is approved to adopt, they MUST be willing to come to our location in Troy, VA, for a meet and greet. If all parties agree that the pup and family are a good fit, they would take the pup home at that time. For more information about our mission and for an APPLICATION for adoption, please go to www.greendogsunleashed.com. GDU does ask a minimum adoption fee of $400.00. This does not even come close to covering all expenses created by animals while in rescue. We are funded solely by the angels and volunteers willing to donate time and finances. This minimum fee includes DAPP, rabies if age appropriate,, heartworm test and preventative, if age appropriate, and flea and tick treatment, as well as neutering or spaying, if the animal is medically sound to undergo surgery. In an attempt to avoid tummy upset from a sudden change of food, the foster family may include a small, transitional bag of the food the dog/puppy has been eating. And if the dog/puppy has grown attached to a special item (like a toy or blanket), they may send that along, as well. */*/* Young puppies will receive age-appropriate vaccines, and will be spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Adopters may be required to provide additional puppy boosters and at 16 weeks of age, a rabies vaccine. Future annual vaccines, testing and monthly heartworm preventative are REQUIRED, and will be the financial responsibility of the adopter. *****Due to the sheer number of animals and applications in our program, coupled with a limited number of volunteers, applicants MUST have patience as we process applications.   If you do not hear back from us, the animal may have been adopted.   We strive to let people know but sadly cannot offer reasons for denial beyond that.  Any harassment of our volunteers will go unanswered and we will simply block you.   Our volunteers spend their time working hard to ensure the very best for each animal.   Please remember the animal, not the applicant, is our client.*****  ##2062824##

Story
IF YOU ARE VIEWING THIS LISTING ON PETFINDER OR ADOPT-A-PET, please visit: Caninesandkittiesrescue.org to access adoption requirements, more information and pictures. Meet Little Poppi - Poppi is about 6 months old and weighs 18.5 lbs. We think she looks like a Dobby/Shepherd mix, but that is just a guess! Poppi is a bit shy right now, but she is doing great in her foster home. She enjoys running around the yard with the resident dog and enjoys cuddling with the resident cat. Poppi will require a forever home with another young dog or with a cat who likes to play and cuddle. Poppi is house and crate trained. Poppi would do best in a home with kids 5 years and up. Young puppies will require an adopter who is at home a good portion of the day to continue training - no exceptions! This puppy is up to date on age-appropriate vaccines and microchipped. This puppy will need to be spayed at 6 months of age. The Adoption Fee for this puppy $400.00. The adoption fee for this dog is $400, which helps with the cost of routine vet care. This fee DOES NOT INCLUDE spay/neuter if the pup is not already spayed/neutered. If the animal you are adopting is not already spayed/neutered, you will be required to sign a contract legally obligating you to have the animal altered. A $100.00 fee will be returned to the adopter once the animal has been sterilized. We will provide information on this process during the approval process. ***You must be at least 25 years of age to adopt from CKRescue*** ***Note that puppy adoption fees most often help generate revenue that goes towards older, special needs animals that need our help. Surgeries, heartworm treatment, boarding costs and/or all things that often result in adoptable dogs and cats being left behind to be euthanized. So, adopting a puppy saves not just one life, but many! ***Please note that our first step in approving adoption applicants is to complete a vet check. Vetting of current and past pets is very important to us, thus we will be speaking with the vet(s) listed on your application to ensure that your current and previous pet(s) are kept up to date on vaccines (including rabies), spayed or neutered, maintained on appropriate monthly preventatives and examined annually by your vet.*** Our organization cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. The breed listed is based on any background we may have been provided, and/or the general appearance of the animal. **Please visit www.caninesandkittiesrescue.org to complete our non-binding application.**
