Story
Everyone, Sherman Levon & Koda ????Their story begins at the West Memphis Animal Shelter, where Koda was actually born on October 25, 2018. A Shepherd/Black Mouth Cur mix, he was originally named Orville before being adopted that December by a loving family who renamed him Koda.About a year later, that same family returned to the shelter to find Koda a companion—and that’s when Sherman came into his life. Sherman, a Doberman Pinscher, had been surrendered as a 6-month-old puppy named Admiral. After his adoption, he became Sherman—and from that moment on, the two were inseparable. For five wonderful years, Koda and Sherman lived their best lives together. Sadly, after their owner passed away, they were given away. While their next home kept them healthy and up to date on care, the fencing wasn’t secure, and the boys began to escape. That’s how they found their way back to the West Memphis Animal Shelter…together. They’ve been through so much, and through it all, they’ve only ever had each other. We are doing everything we can to keep this bonded pair together—just as their mom would have wanted.Koda is now 7½ years old (turning 8 in October 2026), and Sherman will be turning 7 on April 22, 2026 ??Let’s try to give them the best birthday gift possible—a forever home together. Please share their story and help us find them a family who will love them both ??

Story
Updated 23Mar26 Meet Bowie - The Toy-Loving Extraordinaire! Breed: Doberman Mix with a nose for adventure and a heart of gold (DNA test confirmed!) Background Bowie’s journey began on a scorching summer day when he was found on the side of the road, huddled in a small kennel with his mom and siblings. Thankfully, they were rescued and given a second chance at life. Now, Bowie is ready to leave those tough beginnings behind and enjoy a life full of love and fun. Personality Traits Bowie is a sweet and playful pup who lives for two things: toys and fun. If there’s a squeaky toy around, he’s already claimed it. Socialization Bowie is dog-friendly and always up for a good romp with his furry friends. He treats every playdate like a party — full of toys, tail wags, and the occasional clumsy bump that just adds to his charm. He loves his toys and plays well with others, but like many dogs, he may want to keep high-value items to himself. He hasn’t been tested with cats yet, but he’s far more interested in toys than anything else. Adoption Info If you’re looking for a playful companion who will keep you entertained and make every day feel like an adventure, Bowie is your guy. He was raised with his mom and siblings, so he understands how to interact and share space. All he needs now is a forever home where he can spread joy, play with his toys, and be part of the family.
