Hi, my name is Fury! But I'm more like a happy, gentle breeze that wants to have fun! You might recognize my name from the famous character Director Nick Fury of the Marvel movies, I'm kinda like him: I love being the center of attention and don't like it when people take my stuff! I am a big dog! With my mixed Doberman Pinscher/Black Labrador genes I am a whopping 52#/lbs and have a ton of energy and muscle that needs to be worked! Because of this it would be best if I was paired with an active family who knows how to keep a dog mentally stimulated and respects my boundaries well. No apartment living for me please! No cats or small children either! My caretakers have learned some important things about me: I am a chow-hound and will try to eat anything I can get my hands on! So please leave food out of reach from me or I'll swoop it all up. Secondly, I would prefer if people didn't grab things that I have in my mouth, it's mine not yours hehe! Overall, I am a big-hearted dog who wants to go play, be adventurous, have fun with other people and dogs! I am however not such a big fan of car rides, they make my tummy feel sick eww! I love all people and dogs, am a healthy, happy boy and just want to find my home. Let's work together and find it!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Jojo is a great dog! He Loves attention and affection, He is a protector, and likes to run the perimeter of the yard.. He has never bitten anyone, his nature is bark and if another dog barks at him while around him he usually submits, it’s funny for how a med. to lg. dog is not aggressive. When confronted by dogs that snarl and bark at him. He loves to run and probably needs more area to do so. He is definitely a type of a hunter, his smelling ability is huge! But he is just a big baby ❤️ He likes to lick/kiss too.

Toby is a shy, high energy boy who loves to run, jump and play. He is still a pup and will need training and house breaking. While we are not sure how he would do with children, we do know he has lived with cats and dogs and has done well, however he tends to be very dominant over other dogs. If you have children or other dogs at home, please bring them in for a meet and greet to make sure they are compatible. with being a puppy Toby does like to chew and would greatly benefit from a variety of tough toys. He loves attention and will take all the love and pets you can give. Toby was crate trained when he came to us, but may need a refresher. If you are looking fro a running or adventure buddy, Toby would be the boy for you. If you would like to meet Toby, please stop by SPCA Cincinnati to visit him and all our other adoptable pets.

Story
Ralphie was rescued from a kill shelter in New York City. He was dropped off at Animal Care Centers of NY on Nov 24, 2023. Happy Go Lucky Mastiff Rescue (located in Maryland) sponsored a foster in Albany, NY to get him out of the shelter in early December. The foster caregiver had to relocate, so I picked Ralphie up in Albany, NY on May 1, 2024 and brought him to Ohio. Ralphie is microchipped, but his name was not available, so we used his shelter ID (RAL188002) and after referring to him as Ral so often, I suggested we just call him Ralphie. Ralphie was neutered in April before I picked him up and he received all shots required in New York. He has all shots required for Ohio. Ralphie is reactive to other dogs and pulls very hard whenever he is on a leash. Ralphie may not be a good fit for households with young children because he is so energetic and often gets the zoomies. I am working with Ralphie to fix his behavior issues, and I think that he really can be a good boy!

Hi there!  My name is Hank. I’m a miniature pinscher and I need a special adopter. I’m an adult, and I weigh about twenty five pounds. Now here’s why I need a special person. I am not very trusting at first and sometimes I try to bite because there are some things I don’t like. Number one: I don’t like being picked up. Number two: I don’t like having my feet touched. Number three: I prefer not to be told what to do. I’ve been with my foster mom for a while now and she works around my triggers. If she has to pick me up she makes sure I can’t bite, same with wiping my feet. She also tells me what to do and doesn’t seem to mind when I tell her I’m not a fan of discipline. She says I’ve gotten much better about my triggers too! I like friendly dogs but may bully them at first if I feel threatened. I would do best in a home with no kids or with kids who respect my space. I can also coexist with dog savvy cats because I like to chase them. I’m also crate trained and go in for treats but I don’t need to be crated because I’m super well behaved. I’m also a champion cuddled and love to sit in laps and sleep next to my person. November 30, 2024, 9:57 am
