Story
Meet Woodfin! Woodfin is an 8-week-old Corgi-Lab mix. This little pup is already crate-trained and making fantastic progress with house training, proving she's as smart as she is sweet. She’s great with cats, kids, and the other dogs in her foster home, making her an all-around wonderful addition to just about any family. Woodfin is full of personality and a true puppy at heart! She’s affectionate, a little clumsy, and curious about everything. She loves to play fetch (though she’s still working on giving the ball back!) and enjoys following her humans around, eager to discover the world by their side. With a high energy level and a love for outdoor play, Woodfin will thrive with a family that enjoys staying active. She's a play-hard, then sleep hard kinda gal. This wiggly, playful girl is learning so much from her foster siblings. She’s a quick learner, super friendly with new faces, and will gladly snuggle up after a good play session. With her sweet personality, love of chewing on toys, and zest for life, Woodfin is the perfect pal!   At the time you are seeing this post, this dog is still available for adoption. But please know that we may be working on multiple applications already, and any one of them could be approved at any time. Please READ THIS ENTIRE DESCRIPTION and complete an adoption application, if you are interested in any of our animals. Application at www.greendogsunleashed.org If you send an inquiry to ask if the dog is still available, or just tell us you are interested, your inquiry will not be answered. FILL OUT AN APPLICATION. We can do NOTHING without that. No, we cannot tell you if he would be a match for your family without seeing an application. PLEASE KEEP READING for info. */*/* PLEASE NOTE: The first communication you will receive after completing an application will be an email response, which will have instructions on how to proceed. Please check your inbox AND spam folders for the next 48 hours, for this email. We will not begin processing an application without the information requested in that email. */*/* We are happy to consider applicants from out of state on most dogs. Please read the description to see if this dog is an exception. If the applicant is approved to adopt, they MUST be willing to come to our location in Troy, VA, for a meet and greet. If all parties agree that the pup and family are a good fit, they would take the pup home at that time. For more information about our mission and for an APPLICATION for adoption, please go to www.greendogsunleashed.com. GDU does ask a minimum adoption fee of $400.00. This does not even come close to covering all expenses created by animals while in rescue. We are funded solely by the angels and volunteers willing to donate time and finances. This minimum fee includes DAPP, rabies if age appropriate,, heartworm test and preventative, if age appropriate, and flea and tick treatment, as well as neutering or spaying, if the animal is medically sound to undergo surgery. In an attempt to avoid tummy upset from a sudden change of food, the foster family may include a small, transitional bag of the food the dog/puppy has been eating. And if the dog/puppy has grown attached to a special item (like a toy or blanket), they may send that along, as well. */*/* Young puppies will receive age-appropriate vaccines, and will be spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Adopters may be required to provide additional puppy boosters and at 16 weeks of age, a rabies vaccine. Future annual vaccines, testing and monthly heartworm preventative are REQUIRED, and will be the financial responsibility of the adopter. *****Due to the sheer number of animals and applications in our program, coupled with a limited number of volunteers, applicants MUST have patience as we process applications.   If you do not hear back from us, the animal may have been adopted.   We strive to let people know but sadly cannot offer reasons for denial beyond that.  Any harassment of our volunteers will go unanswered and we will simply block you.   Our volunteers spend their time working hard to ensure the very best for each animal.   Please remember the animal, not the applicant, is our client.*****  ##2202813##

Story
Meet Enka! Enka is a 2-month-old Lab-Corgi mix with the most stunning ice blue peepers! This adorable pup is doing well with age-appropriate house training and relaxes nicely in her puppy pen with her sister when it’s time to wind down. She’s calm and sweet, especially for her age, and is a perfect fit for most situations, loving humans and dogs of all sizes and showing only mild interest in cats.   Enka has fantastic social skills for such a young pup! She’s respectful and submissive with her foster siblings, who range from 12 lbs to 120 lbs, and has excellent dog manners that make her a joy to have around other dogs. This little love is eager to please, very treat-motivated, and shows a strong interest in learning, which should make training a breeze!   Enka is an affectionate, smart, and playful cuddle bug. She would thrive in a family setting, especially with children and/or dog siblings, and is equally happy snuggling as she is romping around.   Enka would be a wonderful first dog for someone or a happy addition to an established pack. Ready for her forever home, Enka’s bound to bring love, laughs, and endless snuggles to her new family!   Continued training with GDU, either in-person or virtual will be required for adoption consideration. Preference given to those who can attend our Canine 101 in person. You can apply on our website. At the time you are seeing this post, this dog is still available for adoption. Story
Meet Candler!   Candler is a delightful 2-month-old Corgi-Lab mix. She's making great progress with age-appropriate house training and enjoys relaxing in her puppy pen with her sister during downtime. Candler is very sweet and shows no interest in chasing cats, making her a wonderful companion for feline friends.   This adorable pup has excellent social skills for her age. She's calm, submissive, and absolutely adores other dogs, displaying exceptional manners when meeting new canine companions. Candler would greatly benefit from having a dog sibling, as she thrives in the company of other dogs.   With her typical Lab personality, Candler loves humans and is highly treat-motivated, which will make her training a breeze. She's a cuddle enthusiast who enjoys playtime just as much as snuggling up with her favorite people.   While she does have the usual tiny, spiky puppy teeth, Candler is otherwise gentle and so, so good. She's just about perfect and would make a wonderful addition to any loving home. Continued training with GDU, either in-person or virtual will be required for adoption consideration. Preference given to those who can attend our Canine 101 in person. You can apply on our website. At the time you are seeing this post, this dog is still available for adoption.
