Hi everyone my name is Jasper and I am about to turn 9 years old and I am a Corgi and pug mix boy that is 24 lb and my 90 yr old Dad is going into assisted living. His family is not able to take me and let me live out the rest of my life with them so they have asked Critter cavalry rescue to find a foster for me and I have a really good one. I'm lucky because lots of people ask them every hour of the day to get a new place for their dog. I'm a good boy and I really like medium to small dogs best because big dogs kind of intimidate me. I haven't been around cats but I'm probably pretty good with him and you can see from my pictures I'm quite playful and I have a great smile. I am a housebroken and I really don't need a crate because I'm a good boy when loose in the house and I'm minding my P's and Q's when you're gone. I've got lots of great healthy years ahead of me. I'm looking for someone special to spin them with. Someone that loves a good strong playful medium sized dog that does everything right in life. I'm looking for happy people because I'm happy boy. I've got a great outgoing personality and I can help you make more friends if you just take me for walks and let me work my cuteness factor and charm. I'm neutered, I'm totally vetted and healthy and I'm microchipped. I'm also very ready to spend the holidays with you as my new best friends and forever family . Available dogs are met by appointment only and pre-Gus and Heidi are such a cute pair. The latest in designer breed. Young still with a lot of play and learning to do. Both are smart as whips and wokldmake fantastic agility dogs.Our dogs are currently in a foster homes which can answer your questions better than anyone else. We promise our fosters that we will qualify all potential adopters before we ask them to communicate with potential adopters.The application is the first step. Nugget is a 22 pound solid ball of love and play!He comes from an abusive family who smacked the dog while surrendering him to the shelter. He takes a moment to build trust-kindness and love has already begun the healing for his heart here in foster care. Because he was hit he is guarded when you come at him from above with your hand-he needs a gentle and slowly loving approach and he is ready to play and play some more! His favorite game is fetch the ball and return. He LOVES toys and loved to “destuff” them!He does not like to be approached in the kennel by children-he will become frantic. I suspect he was tormented there. He does not like the kennel but we have been working on getting him comfortably secure there for nighttime rest. He is a great eater and not fussy. Nugget loves belly rubs and will turn over on his back for love all the time! He just wants to play and be loved.
