Story
Hello, I am regrettably needing to rehome Kissie. I am retiring and moving into a retirement home which only allows 1 dog. I have another dog that is older, and I have had her longer. Miss Kissie history with me. I adopted her in 2021, and they estimated her age to be 1 or 2 years of age. So, guessing she is about 6 years old. Kissie gets along with my other dog. She does display a dominance behavior but not aggressive. She acts tough at first and then becomes like Velcro. Kissie does get onto the furniture and sleeps in bed with me. I have had a lazed home for my pets. I treat them like little children. Kissie tells you when she needs to go out by starring at you. She does bark if she sees something outdoors or hears a noise. Of which doesn't bother me. Guess because I know she is a dog. However, it's not obsessive. OH, because I work full time, I have not kenneled my dogs. I have used a washable potty pad for them to use while I am at work. Works great for me and them. I

Story
Machi is new to Bonaparte's and we pulled her because she was extremely terrified and shut down at the shelter. But as soon as she got to her temp foster's home she opened right up and has been doing great ever since! We do feel like she is a dog that needs other companion dogs in the home but loves to snuggle, play, and definitely needs a fenced in yard to get her young energy out! She has been checked out at the vet and seems to be a healthy girl-yay! She is young at only two years old so has some puppy energy in her, but with some work on some basic cues she will shine in a home and will be your bestie! She hasn't completely gotten rid of her shyness and anxiety but she does warm up quickly!April 18, 2025, 10:27 am

Story
This 40 lb, 10 month old half corgi, half pit makes this lady extremely smart and full of energy. She responds well to training and is very athletic. Very loyal and has stayed around when unleashed. Crate trained, House trained, trained to recall, sit, and heel around distractions. Very attentive when leashed. Great with kids! May become territorial once she determines a space is hers, which has turned into her reacting, but not attacking. NOTE: the person who took these dogs in didn't realize having three dogs in a small condo with 3 children would be a little cramped. Clover lived in a condo with her brother, Oak (also available for adoption), with children & another dog & received daily leash walks from April– December. Then, she & Oak were taken to my parents farm where they are indoor/outdoor dogs & have been around cats & other dogs & have maintained their crate training & positive attitude. Clover is a great, high energy girl with no behavioral issues!

Story
Nugget is a 22 pound solid ball of love and play!He comes from an abusive family who smacked the dog while surrendering him to the shelter. He takes a moment to build trust-kindness and love has already begun the healing for his heart here in foster care. Because he was hit he is guarded when you come at him from above with your hand-he needs a gentle and slowly loving approach and he is ready to play and play some more! His favorite game is fetch the ball and return. He LOVES toys and loved to “destuff” them!He does not like to be approached in the kennel by children-he will become frantic. I suspect he was tormented there. He does not like the kennel but we have been working on getting him comfortably secure there for nighttime rest. He is a great eater and not fussy. Nugget loves belly rubs and will turn over on his back for love all the time! He just wants to play and be loved. He would do best in a home with adults and older teenage children.Nugget was professionally behaviorally assessed and passed with flying colors!Russellrescuetn@gmail.com Available dogs are met by appointment only and pre-approved adopters ONLY.Our dogs are currently in a foster homes which can answer your questions better than anyone else. We promise our fosters that we will qualify all potential adopters before we ask them to communicate with potential adopters. The application is the first step.
