Story
Henry is very shy, it will take some time for him to adjust, he loves other dogs, and is cautious of humans. He loves playing as long as there is a playmate for him, once he is with you for a while he will start being curious and you can at that point use toys to lure him closer. Henry came in with another dog that was completely opposite and he used him as a crutch, a friendly dog that don't mind a stage 3 clinger friend would be best for Henry. A Physical fence is required even though he won't appear to want to leave if something scares him he will bolt and he is afraid of everything until he isn't and it is a slow process for him, he was afraid of his own shadow for the first month he was with his first foster. 3 days, 3 weeks, 3 months is not for Henry he will take longer. We are just not sure how much because it seems to be better and better every week and then nothing for a few days and back to better and better. Freds Mission Rescue has an adoption radius of 100 miles from Cincinnati. All dogs are fully vetted, altered, current on flea/tick/heartworm/wormer, and microchipped. The rescue does not adopt out to properties with invisible fences or tie outs. Application: https://form.jotform.com/FredsMission/app

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Are you looking for a best friend?  Then say Hello to Socks! Socks is a 2 year old corgi mix who looks more like a dachshund. She came into rescue when her owner became ill and could not keep up with Socks and her siblings. She has been fully vetted and is spayed. Socks is full grown at 21 pounds.  She is also house trained! This sweet girl is so lovable and will be content to sit next to you. Honestly, Socks would prefer to just live on your lap. She plays well with all sizes of dogs and her previous owner stated she is good with cats. Socks is crate trained. She stays in her kennel when her foster Mom leaves the house.  She also sleeps in her kennel at night.  Socks will walk on a leash with you.Socks will be a bit shy when you first meet her, though she seems to really LIKE men!!  Give her a few hours and you will have a new best friend.  We think Socks would be happiest in a quiet home without a lot of loud noises. An interesting tidbit about Socks.....Her foster Mom is diabetic and has noticed that Socks jumps up into her lap and noticeably sniffs her breath when her blood sugar is getting high. This little one pays attention to her person!   Are you looking for a cuddle bug to share life with?  Check out Socks!!Adoption Fee: $300  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 1, 2024, 11:44 am

Story
🐾 Meet Casper! 🐶❤️Casper is a charming 5-year-old pup weighing 37 lbs and full of love! 🌟 He's proven to be a great companion in households with kids and cats, getting along well with both. 🐱👧 Casper is short, long-bodied, with thick legs, looks like a cross between a corgi and basset hound, but who really knows. While Casper may be a bit shy around new dogs initially, he warms up with time and patience. 🐾 He absolutely adores meeting new people and thrives on companionship—he'd rather be by your side than anywhere else! 🥰Casper is the kind of dog that if he was a girl he would likely be part of the mean girls. All his photos he looks like he is silently judging you for everything you've ever done or may do in the future. Don't worry he will also judge your friends and your neighbors too. In his previous home, Casper was known for his quiet demeanor, making him an ideal candidate for apartment living. 🏢 He's content to stay close to his humans and would make a wonderful cuddle buddy.Could you be the perfect match for sweet Casper? 🏡 Don't miss out on the opportunity to welcome this gentle soul into your home! ❤️ #AdoptCasper #DogAdoption #ForeverHomeCasper's adoption fee is $225, he has been vaccinated, flea & tick treated, and will be microchipped and scheduled for his neuter upon adoption. You can apply online for them at https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=sr2794&method=online_form_html&formid=21 OR stop into the shelter from 12 - 5 pm Tuesday through Friday or 11 am to 3 pm on Saturday to meet who is available at that time.
