Meet Babe! Babe appears to be a Terrier/Corgi mix and is the perfect medium size at 26 pounds of pure love. This happy girl truly lives up to her name — her tail is almost always wagging (unless she’s fast asleep dreaming of her forever family!). Babe’s personality is sunshine wrapped in fur. She’s friendly, affectionate, and fits in wherever she goes. She gets along great with people and other dogs, and she seamlessly settled into her foster home as if she had always been there. She’s house trained and will also use potty pads. Babe walks nicely on a leash, rides beautifully in the car, and isn’t much of a barker. Her favorite place? Right by your side. She’ll happily follow you from room to room, content to be your little shadow. Because she loves companionship so much, she would do best in a home where someone is around more often than not. And the best part? Babe smiles at you — a real, heart-melting smile that makes every day brighter. If you’re looking for a sweet, loyal, happy companion who simply wants to love and be loved, Babe is ready to meet you.   Applications can be filled out at www.piedmontanimalrescue.com/adopt!  Petfinder and Adopt-A-Pet does NOT send us Applications.   We receive many applications and many never respond after processing GREATLY delaying the pets forever home.  Please only apply if you are serious about adopting.  Please also make sure your pets are up to date on you species applicable Vaccines (rabies, Distemper/Parvo, FVRCP, Bordetella), spayed/neutered, and on Heartworm prevention if a canine.   The adoption fee includes their age appropriate vaccinations(DA2PP and Bordetella), Dewormer, spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm test as well as the registration of their microchip information to you. The first step to adopting is to fill out an application for adoption. Once approved we will arrange a time for you to meet the animal you are interested in. If it is a match the adoption can then be completed and you can take home your new furry family member. Well, sometimes we get the most unusual phone calls. And they pull out our hearts with the intensity of need, even if they are a thousand miles away.  Trooper and some of his friends from New Mexico have entered our world of trying to help.  There's a small shelter in a very small town in New Mexico. That has very few people come by to adopt. But yet the drop offs continue to build, and adoptions do not match the number of dogs in the shelter.  A very dedicated and passionate rescue woman that drives her own independent, forty foot tractor trailer, moving loads of cargo in freight from state to state, from job to job, has learn that she must stop in at that shelter and check out what they have on the euthanasia list. She is an independent lady who champions the underdogs.  She gave Critter Cavalry a call and told her about a number of small breed dogs that are under twenty pounds that need a rescue to sponsor them.  Critter Cavalry signed up to help. Troop is one of many small breed dogs that are Tweenies or Corgi mixes that are beautiful inside and out and need homes.  Trooper is a beautiful boy who is six months old and weighs about fourteen pounds and will most probably top out at 20 as an adult.  He will arrive in Nashville, Tennessee early on March 23 and readily be vetted and microchipped.  He will be adoptable within days.  If you are interested in giving this sweet boy a beautiful life and future, please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com.  PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.March 23, 2026, 3:48 pm
