Story
Zoomin Zula! This adorable short stack is a 8-9 month old, female, husky/corgi mix. She’s ready for any adventure you are willing to take her on, especially if it involves water. Zula is good with most dog friends, with a preference to those that will run and play with her. She’s house trained, crate trained, and very smart. Zula is affectionate and cuddly, too. Due to her unique breed mix, we are seeking an active home that enjoys working with dogs. She responds so well to training it seems a shame to waste it! Zula requires a feline free home. She doesn’t have the best leash skills, but she’s working hard on that while in foster care. Zula is in foster in Fort Collins, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs. * You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/zula. You can apply for our wonderful dogs at https://www.milehighcanine.org/adopt/adoption-application/.

Story
Meet Buster! Buster is a happy-go-lucky little sausage! We think his slinky body is because he couldn't fit all of the love he has to give in his original one - so he grew to accommodate that big heart! In the short time we've known Buster, he has been nothing but affectionate. He loves head scratches and will put his head on your knee for more; lovingly staring at you until you politely oblige! He knows how to train his humans... Buster is looking for his forever home now - can you be the heart he hopes to crawl inside?

Story
Apple and his brother were found dumped in the desert in NM when they were just babies. They are approx 6 months old now and 20#. We believe that they are Cowboy Corgi mixes. Apple has a very sweet demeanor and loves being near his people. Apple is good with other dogs, respectful children 6+, and strangers. He has not been tested with cats. He enjoys snuggling with his human, chewing on bully sticks, and getting frozen kong toys. Apple requires a secure fenced in yard with humans who aren’t gone long hours. These pups are nearly potty trained but need let out often and late at night to do their final business. He will sleep in or out of his crate. Apple has learned to walk on a leash and is doing great. These pups love to eat which is good because they need to gain some more weight. Apple will often try and steal food so needs to be monitored if there’s another dog. They are a bit introverted and shy at first but warm quickly with soft talk and snacks. He will do well in a structured suburban or rural environment with active humans and lots of attention. A basic puppy training class would do wonders to build their confidence and teach them fun cues. If you’re interested in meeting Apple, the first step is to complete our meet and greet application at https://www.corgisandfriends.com/forms as the first step. We require the application, home and reference check, and meet with everyone in the home. Apple is neutered, utd on vaccs, chipped, and HW-. His adoption fee is $400 and we do not adopt outside of Colorado.November 14, 2024, 7:55 pm

Story
Lenny was picked up by the PoPo, found himself in a KS shelter, no came looking for him, and he wants to tell you all about it. This stunning floofernutter is approx 9 months old and a thin 29#. We believe that he is Corgi mixed with Australian Shepherd given his long soft Aussie-like coat that will require more than average grooming. Lenny has a very sweet demeanor and loves being near his people. Lenny is good with other dogs and preference will be given to a home with another playful dog who enjoys multiple romping sessions per day. Lenny would likely be overwhelming for a senior dog. He has not been tested with cats or kids but due to his temperament respectful children 8+ will be considered. He enjoys snuggling with his human, running in the yard with his foster brothers and sisters, and chewing on toys and bully sticks. His only dislike so far is being in the crate which is foster is working on. Lenny requires a secure fenced in yard with humans who aren’t gone long hours. He is not a good fit for an apartment situation. He is mostly potty trained when let out often and will need a refresher course in a new home with a new routine and gentle reminders to mark outdoors only. Lenny sleeps in a dog bed but wouldn’t mind the human bed. He knows how to walk on a leash and is doing great. He will do well in a medium active home with active humans and lots of attention. A beginner training class would do wonders to build his confidence and help him learn basic puppy manners. If you’re interested in meeting Lenny, the first step is to complete our meet and greet application at  https://www.corgisandfriends.com/forms  as the first step. We require the application, home and reference check, and meet with everyone in the home. Lenny is neutered, utd on vaccs, chipped, and HW-. His adoption fee is $425 and we do not adopt outside of Colorado. December 22, 2024, 1:51 pm

Story
Sporting her purple scarf with style is sweet and sociable 8-year-old Sheeba. The 30-pound black beauty, who was formerly someone’s much loved pet, has settled safely inside her foster home, and not only craves her foster mom’s cuddles and snuggles, she readily rolls over for belly rubs and then dances about in delight. Friendly and playful, Sheeba engages easily with dogs of assorted sizes, and being extremely energetic, she LOVES going on walks and on hikes and proved to be a superb traveling companion, going on cross-country trips, in the past. Particularly fond of squeaky toys and chewing bones, motivated by food, love and toys, she presently knows “come,” “sit” and “stay,” and is crate trained and almost fully house-trained. Now all sweet Sheeba needs is an especially loving and active home with no cats and only respectful, older children, to complete her commands and ensure that they are well and truly her fur-ever home.   Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household.
