Story
Graham arrived in Colorado on 3/22 He was roaming the streets of Texas with some other dogs but allowed our rescue team down there to grab him while the other dogs ran away. He was living in a foster home before coming to Colorado where he already has learned the good life indoors. Graham is a cuddle bug and loves to curl up next to his humans in the tiniest little ball. He loves all the cozy spots - dog beds, couches, pillows or your lap, enjoys watching the neighborhood out the window and is very loving and affectionate. Though shy at first, Graham warms up quickly and adores being part of a pack—whether that’s with other dogs or his humans. He’s been gaining confidence every day, learning that people can be kind, treats are tasty and the world isn’t so scary. Loud noises and new faces might make him pause, but with a little reassurance, he’ll soon be snuggled up next to you, burrowing into a pile of pillows like a pro. With legs this short, we are guessing he is some kind of corgi or dachshund mix. Either way he is a super sweet boy with cute little legs. He keeps up well on the leash and is very excited to explore the neighborhood. Bonus: his ears are a built-in mood barometer that lets you know exactly how he’s feeling, and his giant Disney princess eyes will melt your heart. Graham would thrive in a home with patient, loving humans and another dog (or dogs) who will continue to help him build confidence as he settles into his new life off the streets. A calm environment where he can feel safe, along with plenty of cozy spots to burrow into, would be ideal (so kids older than 10 preferred). ALL POSO DOGS COME WITH: - TWO FREE ONE ON ONE DOG TRAINING SESSIONS - UP TO DATE ON SHOTS - SPAYED/NEUTERED - BLOODWORK/TICK DISEASE TESTING - DEWORMED/FECAL TESTING - WELLNESS CHECKS - LEASH, COLLAR, FOOD TO GET STARTED, TREATS AND TOYS IF THEY LIKE THEM - FI COLLAR SUBSCRIPTION - COUPONS TO LOCAL PET STORES

Story
Welcome Billy (fka Bully but he is far from his former namesake) to our Rescue!  Billy is a sweet happy guy who was surrendered due to too many dogs in the home.  He is approx 4 y/o, 30# and has a bonus tail. Billy does well with other dogs but is a bit overwhelmed by bigger ones. Billy has been on the chill side since his arrival and does engage in zoomies with his foster siblings but prefers to follow his foster mom around. We think once he comes out of his shell more, he’ll be more open to play. Billy has not been tested with kids or cats but a respectful child 10+ may be considered. Multiple children in the home may be too overwhelming for him though. He has been on the quiet side so far and loves to soulfully stare into his human’s eyes and give Corgi kisses. Billy is good on the leash and would be best suited in a rural or quiet suburban environment. He is potty trained and doesn’t mind the crate or xpen but is not destructive when left out of the crate unattended for a couple hours or overnight. Billy requires a secure fenced in yard with owners who aren’t gone long hours. A medium active home who will teach him fun things and include him in their daily activities and keep him fit would be ideal. If you’re interested in meeting Billy the first step is to complete our meet and greet application at  https://www.corgisandfriends.com/forms  We require the application, home and reference check, and meet with everyone in the home. Billy is neutered, utd on vaccs, chipped, and HW-. Billy’s adoption fee is $425 and we do not adopt outside of Colorado. April 5, 2025, 4:44 pm

Story
** If you are interested in adopting Chester, please fill out our adoption application at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ ** If you're searching for the most loving, silly best friend, Chester is the guy you want to have around! Chester is an adorable, and quite BEAUTIFUL Corgi / Dachshund mix. He has the gorgeous Corgi hair, ears, and short-legged, long body, and he is just TOO CUTE! Chester is believed to be around 4 years old, and just 25 lbs. Chester has a very fun personality! He is sweet, goofy, and loves other dogs and people. Chester was brought into a rural shelter in Arkansas when his owner passed away. Despite all the change in his life, Chester has been a happy go lucky boy in his foster home, making friends with their dogs, cats, and even grandkids (aged around 8-9 years old). Farfel's Rescue and our Arkansas rescue partners would love to see Chester in a home with an individual, family (older kids are preferred so there's no tail-pulling or awkward handling) or active retirees who have the time and love for a very loyal and sweet dog. We'd hate to see him left alone all day while his family works full-time outside of the home, as he is much too social for that type of arrangement. We'd like to place Chester in a home where he'll get consistent stimulation, exercise and love. A (virtual or in-person) positive reinforcement group training class promotes great behavior, bonding and confidence for a young guy whose self-esteem will fly high while he masters his skills. Training is so important in the future behaviors of every dog. It's for this reason that we're unwilling to adopt to a family that doesn't make this loving choice. Farfel's is happy to provide a list of both in-person and virtual positive reinforcement / force- free trainers in your area. Chester has been fully vetted, and he is in great health, up to date on his shots, and neutered. Farfel's Rescue is a fully foster based rescue, and offers a one week trial with every adoption. We feel that this is much more beneficial to not only the dog, but the adopter too. We believe that only getting 20-30 minutes with a dog before deciding on a lifetime commitment is not a fair amount of time to the adopter, or the dog. Therefore we give adopters one week with the dog to assure it is the right fit, and offer a full refund of their adoption fee should it not workout within the week trial. Farfel's Rescue has been doing adoptions this way since 2005 and is thrilled to adopt out ~400 dogs each year. If you are interested in adopting from us, please be sure to fill out our adoption application at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ . **PLEASE NOTE** If you're truly interested in adopting from us, please be sure to fill out our Farfel's Rescue adoption application.

Story
Dixie is a sweet stray dog that was found with two other dogs. She is believed to be a Cowboy Corgi mix with a larger body and shorter legs. Dixie is spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on her shots. She gets along well with male dogs but has displayed some aggression towards female dogs. Dixie is kennel trained and likely house trained, but has not been able to be in the house due to the presence of female dogs in the home. The user believes Dixie would make a great family dog for an active household with older children, as she will need time to adjust. ##2332887##

Story
Eggs is a 6 month old Low Rider Mix who is one happy guy! He is playful, smart, goofy and intelligent. He loves other dogs, people, and a tad over excited about cats. He has a voice so apartment’s will not be his thing! The best fit for Eggs is a home with a yard, older kids, and an adventurous family/person. He also would love a playful mate but be fine as a single dude with activity. Eggs is a catch!     March 25, 2025, 9:03 am
