Story
Meet Buster! Buster is a happy-go-lucky little sausage! We think his slinky body is because he couldn't fit all of the love he has to give in his original one - so he grew to accommodate that big heart! In the short time we've known Buster, he has been nothing but affectionate. He loves head scratches and will put his head on your knee for more; lovingly staring at you until you politely oblige! He knows how to train his humans... Buster is looking for his forever home now - can you be the heart he hopes to crawl inside?

Story
Charlie needs a home without kids. He is extremely active and would love a big yard, he would even be a great trail dog. He would be a champion with obstacle courses if someone had the time to train him. He is such a sweet and loving boy, he just really doesn't like new kids, which isn't ideal in a house with kids.

Story
Sporting her purple scarf with style is sweet and sociable 8-year-old Sheeba. The 30-pound black beauty, who was formerly someone’s much loved pet, has settled safely inside her foster home, and not only craves her foster mom’s cuddles and snuggles, she readily rolls over for belly rubs and then dances about in delight. Friendly and playful, Sheeba engages easily with dogs of assorted sizes, and being extremely energetic, she LOVES going on walks and on hikes and proved to be a superb traveling companion, going on cross-country trips, in the past. Particularly fond of squeaky toys and chewing bones, motivated by food, love and toys, she presently knows “come,” “sit” and “stay,” and is crate trained and almost fully house-trained. Now all sweet Sheeba needs is an especially loving and active home with no cats and only respectful, older children, to complete her commands and ensure that they are well and truly her fur-ever home.   Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 48 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails). If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives!  A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you.  The adoption fee for this pet is $100. Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog.  Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all vaccinations after adoption. Please fill out an adoption application by clicking  here . Please give us 48 hours to review your application and respond to you. (Remember to check your spam folder for our emails!) We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email dogs@arrcolorado.org for more information, as we can't accept calls.PLEASE NOTE:  The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter.  Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets.  Here is some interesting info on breed identification:  https://arrcolorado.org/category/puppy-dog-tips/ Our adoption process is: 1. Fill out our Adoption Application online.  We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet. 2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting.  Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member!
