Story
Merry just wants somebody to love! This adorable little Corgi mix is thought to be around 2 years old. She came to us from Oklahoma and is so happy to be here in Colorado. Merry absolutely adores people. She is a little under socialized with dogs, but is progressing nicely! We think a home with a larger male who's calm and confident would be the best fit for her so she can grow to understand social cues from other dogs. And...she loves to play fetch! If you would like a little extra love in your life, then Merry is your girl! Apply for Merry and come meet her at our Wellington location!

Story
Dixie is a sweet stray dog that was found with two other dogs. She is believed to be a Cowboy Corgi mix with a larger body and shorter legs. Dixie is spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on her shots. She gets along well with male dogs but has displayed some aggression towards female dogs. Dixie is kennel trained and likely house trained, but has not been able to be in the house due to the presence of female dogs in the home. The user believes Dixie would make a great family dog for an active household with older children, as she will need time to adjust. ##2332887##

Story
Zoomin Zula! This adorable short stack is a 8-9 month old, female, husky/corgi mix. She’s ready for any adventure you are willing to take her on, especially if it involves water. Zula is good with most dog friends, with a preference to those that will run and play with her. She’s house trained, crate trained, and very smart. Zula is affectionate and cuddly, too. Due to her unique breed mix, we are seeking an active home that enjoys working with dogs. She responds so well to training it seems a shame to waste it! Zula requires a feline free home. She doesn’t have the best leash skills, but she’s working hard on that while in foster care. Zula is in foster in Fort Collins, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs. * You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/zula. Story
Serbie was adopted at 2, she has been in the same home since 2018. She is cuddly and will want to follow you everywhere. She has some anxiety and has had to have a bladder stone removed. She would thrive in a one pet family. She has lived with other dogs, but we think being a solo fur baby would be best. She loves to play ball and being outside watching nature. She prefers women but does well with men too. She is sweet and will want to be attached to your hip!

Story
Benjii, corgi/shepherd mix, 6 yo, 36 lb, male.Benji is cute,  smart, loyal, and has a great steady shepherd-like personality.  He gets deeply attached, although needs a little bit of time to get used to a new place. Would be better as the only dog and would bond closer with a female owner. Would be better with teenage kids. He is patient and great at following the routine. Was found as a stray.   Adoption fee: $300. If interested, please submit an adoption or foster application at http://www.sanNicolaDogRescue.com  March 30, 2025, 7:55 pm

Story
** If you are interested in adopting Chester, please fill out our adoption application at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ ** If you're searching for the most loving, silly best friend, Chester is the guy you want to have around! Chester is an adorable, and quite BEAUTIFUL Corgi / Dachshund mix. He has the gorgeous Corgi hair, ears, and short-legged, long body, and he is just TOO CUTE! Chester is 4 years old, and just 25 lbs. Chester has a very fun personality! He is sweet, goofy, and loves other dogs and people. Chester was brought into a rural shelter in Arkansas when his owner passed away. Despite all the change in his life, Chester has been a happy go lucky boy in his foster home, making friends with their dogs, cats, and even grandkids (aged around 8-9 years old). Farfel's Rescue and our Arkansas rescue partners would love to see Chester in a home with an individual, family (older kids are preferred so there's no tail-pulling or awkward handling) or active retirees who have the time and love for a very loyal and sweet dog. We'd hate to see him left alone all day while his family works full-time outside of the home, as he is much too social for that type of arrangement. We'd like to place Chester in a home where he'll get consistent stimulation, exercise and love. A (virtual or in-person) positive reinforcement group training class promotes great behavior, bonding and confidence for a young guy whose self-esteem will fly high while he masters his skills. Training is so important in the future behaviors of every dog. It's for this reason that we're unwilling to adopt to a family that doesn't make this loving choice. Farfel's is happy to provide a list of both in-person and virtual positive reinforcement / force- free trainers in your area. Chester has been fully vetted, and he is in great health, up to date on his shots, and neutered. Farfel's Rescue is a fully foster based rescue, and offers a one week trial with every adoption. We feel that this is much more beneficial to not only the dog, but the adopter too. We believe that only getting 20-30 minutes with a dog before deciding on a lifetime commitment is not a fair amount of time to the adopter, or the dog. Therefore we give adopters one week with the dog to assure it is the right fit, and offer a full refund of their adoption fee should it not workout within the week trial. Farfel's Rescue has been doing adoptions this way since 2005 and is thrilled to adopt out ~400 dogs each year. If you are interested in adopting from us, please be sure to fill out our adoption application at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ . **PLEASE NOTE** If you're truly interested in adopting from us, please be sure to fill out our Farfel's Rescue adoption application.
